OK, it seems like you've still got an old version of the GCImdb.pl file. The md5sum of the correct version is c36b3331d01eea17ee85a5ee624ae852 If you've got the PPA working properly then you should have version 1.6.1ubuntu2 installed. Alternatively you can get the deb from here: https://launchpad.net/~gcstar/+archive/gcstar- dev/+files/gcstar_1.6.1ubuntu2_all.deb and install with sudo dpkg -i gcstar_1.6.1ubuntu2_all.deb It might be worth completely removing the version you currently have installed first and making sure the /usr/share/gcstar/lib/GCPlugins/GCfilms/GCImdb.pm file is completely removed. Public bug reported: This package does not get automatically updated from Debian because of a version numbering issue: Ubuntu used to have version 1.7.dfsg, and now has 1.7.ubuntu, both of which are newer than Debian's 1.7. The content of Debian's upstream source matches that of the ubuntu 1.7.ubuntu source. The current version in Ubuntu is based on Debian version 1.7-4. Debian is now at version 1.7-6 (see http://packages.qa.debian.org/b/batik.html). I suggest another manual sync, and hope that eventually Batik 1.8 gets released at which point this problem goes away. I'm happy to prepare the new package if someone can upload it for me. ** Affects: batik (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Not all jar files built https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/681078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 649074] Re: feature detection of paralllel HDF5 unreliable?
The plplot build makes absolutely no use of hdf so whether the serial or parallel version is installed should be irrelevant. All plplot does is include oct.h. [Bug 635840] Re: plplot fails to build on maverick
I believe this is actually a bug in the gcc-4.4 packages. After much debugging in turns out that the search path in gcc version 4.4.4-14ubuntu4 includes an extra leading slash, and so the path to system headers comes out as something like //usr/include/stdio.h rather than /usr/include/stdio.h. This confuses the matwrap perl script in plplot which generates the octave bindings. It tries to filter out system headers, but fails in this case. I can bodge this in plplot by modifying the matwrap script to add //usr/include as well for all occurences of /usr/include, but I think the proper solution is to fix the gcc standard search paths. -- plplot fails to build on maverick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/635840 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 501972] Re: messages stored but not displayed
I have the exact same problem as described above. Am using jaunty with what I assume is the latest version of evolution (I just ran sudo apt-get update and installed all of the software updates that came up on the software updater) Messages show up in the .evolution//inbox file if I open it with a text editor but are not visible in the inbox folder of the evolution client. Now I'm willing to bet that this problem is a lot more wide-spread than being reported here, I've been using evolution for a couple of years now and it never occurred to me to check if I was "loosing" messages until recently because I was expecting some rather important news. Had I not thought of using my ISP's web mail client I would never have noticed that messages were getting to their server, then being retrieved/deleted (that's how I set my evolution client) but not showing up in my evolution inbox. Folks, even if I'm wrong and this is not a widespread problem, this is not a low importance issue, think of the potential consequences for people, missing notices from banks, medical institutions, etc. As an added note, after futzing around, turning all of my filters on and off, and hiding and un-hiding all my inbox messages an well as all my deleted messages and changing settings to leave retrieved message in the server, the missing messages suddenly appeared in my junk folder, but not highlighted as un-read! [Bug 188972] Re: mic not working on dell vostro 1310 1400 with hda intel (gutsy and hardy)
I observed something interesting. When I hooked up my wireless mic and cranked down the signal to -30db, the sound was not bad - no noise and quite clear. It would clip the audio if I spoke loudly. If I adjusted the mic level down in the gnome desktop mixer app, it would get quieter but still clip at the same speaking volume. Thus, there seems to be something limiting the input dramatically. I'm wondering - perhaps the jack is set to be a line in rather than a microphone? I don't see any option to adjust this but I will experiment and keep researching to see. If anyone has any helpful information, I'd welcome it. Thank you. There is an additional problem, that the keys don't produce release events. This is fixed by a kernel patch - see http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12021 The kernel team should probably take a look at this - once the release event is in place then there are a number of easy ways to assign the hotkeys.
