[Bug 88899] Re: cpufreq locked in slowest speed
I see this on my dell latitude e6400 after I upgraded to lucid. Didn't have this problem in karmic. Once for some reason if then fan comes on, the cpu max freq is stuck at 800Mhz and the fan doesn't switch off. Lucid is very frustrating for an LTS release, a bunch of things that were working in karmic are now broken (I know it isn't helpful to say that here, but ... ). Proxy handling: broken, External monitors: broken, Function keys: broken, sbackup: broken, list goes on. -- cpufreq locked in slowest speed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/88899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 492583] Re: gnumeric
** Description changed: - Binary package hint: gnumeric + Binary package hint: gnumeric solver saved constraints don't show up in + UI I created a spreadsheet with an optimization problem using gnumeric on Intrepid. After the karmic upgrade, when I open the same sheet with karmic's version of gnumeric, all the constraint definitions have gone missing. [Bug 492583] Re: gnumeric
This is even worse than I thought. For example, create a small solver problem in a new gnumeric file. Check that it works. Now save the file and re-open in gnumeric. The constraints are gone from the UI!. If you gunzip the gnumeric file and look at the xml, you can see the constraint definitions in the XML but they don't load in the constraints UI. -- gnumeric https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/492583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Doesn't seem work on the current karmic beta. I have to manually change the ordering from RGB to VRGB when I switch from laptop screen to dual portrait external monitors. [Bug 56213] Re: RandR doesn't work anymore (after suspend?)
There seems to be a simple way to fix the issue with resolutions. I don't know if there is something similar for the rotation issue. The xorg.conf file had entries only for the 1400x1050 resolution I added one for 1280x1024. Now after resume, I can change resolutions using xrandr SubSection Display Depth 24 Modes 1400x1050 1280x1024 EndSubSection I did not touch the xorg.conf file after the breezy-edgy update. So either the file was changed during the update or not having the 1280x1024 resolution did not cause this problem in breezy -- RandR doesn't work anymore (after suspend?) https://launchpad.net/bugs/56213 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 56213] Re: RandR doesn't work anymore (after suspend?)
I think I am a bit behind in times, So does RandR should automatically detect possible resolutions in addition to allowing switching between then without restarting X? [Bug 56213] Re: RandR doesn't work anymore (after suspend?)
I can replicate this bug on edgy. The native resolution for my laptop screen is 1400x1050. The native resolution of the lcd panel connected to the laptop docking station is 1280x1024. Typically I use the laptop with the lcd panel (screen closed). Once I suspend the laptop and then wake it back up, xrandr shows only the 1400x1050 option. Logging out and logging back in does not fix this. However, restarting X with CTRL+ALT+BKSPACE fixes the problem. Dapper did not have this issue, laptop woke up from suspend without any xrandr issues.
