Public bug reported: To reproduce open a pdf file in evince from pcmanfm or another file manager. Then move the mouse to the upper right corner of the window along the top bar. [Bug 1333013] Re: lxshortcut does not edit the desktop files on the live session.
Oh actually the overly verbose lxsession run.log came in some useful data. Lxshortcut for a multiuser system puts a .desktop file in ~/usr/.local/applications/abiwor.desktop and creates a file if it does not exist. If this file does not exist then lxshortcut creates the file but not the directory. In the live session the ~/usr/.local/applications is not an existing directory in the live session. [Bug 1290101] Re: pcmanfm lost option to open current folder as root
As the original reporter of this bug after seeing the change on the wiki I have accepted this bugs state as invalid as I truly did not know about that change and yet keep getting more comments that do not read the wiki link in this bug report that mark it as invalid. I even went so far as to file a bug against the testcase for pcmanfm and have the run as root section removed. It was my mistake to not read the wiki I thought reading the release notes on the lxde blog for pcmanfm 1.2.0 would be enough at the time and were very detailed and long. Also one other thing that shows the deliberate nature of removing the run as root option is something I didn't notice before but there is a notification if you do get it running as root is an exclamation mark shows up on the buttons warning you you are root. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1290101 Title: pcmanfm lost option to open current folder as root To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm/+bug/1290101/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1357846] [NEW] Manual partitioning fails in complex multiboot
Public bug reported: I was trying to install the AMD64 dialy build of today onto an external hard drive. To reproduce have a external hard disk with first partition NTFS used for storage and if I need to transfer something to someone elses windows box and then have ubuntu 12.04 variant with openbox and an ubuntu 14.04 with unity in an extended partion with the swap in the middle and have an internal drive on laptop with lubuntu and manjaro on it. Then I tried to get install with manual partition to delete an old install of trusty that I was using when it was in development installed. I then deleted tihs partition and tried to create a new / and /home partition but got error message when continuing with the installation that the partition does not line up and can lead to very poor performance. I could not get tihs message to go away hit revert and the partitioning and then it seems to keep going and going for a long time. With my complex partition structure I tried to install then hit revert after got error messages about partition alighnment recreate the partition to automatically fix it and then could not get them to go away and hit revert. I switched to see if any cpu resources were being used and top showed that resize2fs was in a dormant state showing a D in top when I switched to a tty. I then tried to launch apport as this is a bug as it is not an active process.
