@Simon: I tried with kernel 3.16 in Utopic with the drivers shipped with the kernel, and the wireless works quite bad (very low speeds, pages take several minutes to load). Ok, I'm giving the kernel 3.19 a try. Here is a list of the steps I'm following according to the information gathered in this thread. I've tried the latest version of the driver from Github and I also experienced a system freeze. On the other hand, it is difficult to connect to any network, and the traffic is really slow. @Larry: which kernel version do you recommend for testing the drivers? I'm using the 3.16.0-031600rc6-generic kernel with the latest drivers fetched from github. I can connect to my router, however the speed is quite slow. It could take a couple of minutes till I get the results of a google search. I tried to look at the debug information (using the guidelines in 0) but I cannot tell what is wrong. I'll attach the debug log, in case this can help. Thanks a lot for all the work on the driver, and for getting the code into the kernel. I am using the kernel 3.16.0-031600rc6-generic, and the wireless works but partially. It takes a long time to connect. And after resuming from suspend it does not connect anymore. What is the best way in which I can provide useful debug information? Even if I try to add the event to my personal, and off-line calendar, I get the same error. Is not only a problem with Google Calendar. However, I want to point out that I think it is a Banshee bug, since the only thing my windows manager is doing is to resize the "add podcast" dialogs to fit a specific tile. Another problem is that the dialog window is not correctly marking itself as "floating", otherwise Xmonad will float it. I found out what the problem was. I'm using Xmonad as my window manager, and it tiles the subscribe window. If I add to my manage hooks (stringProperty "WM_ICON_NAME" =? "Subscribe") --> doFloat then the problem disappears. Now I have two questions: 0. Can this crash be prevented, even if the window is tiled? 1. Xmonad floats those windows that require so, for instance the open file dialogs, or the workrave windows. Sadly that doesn't work for me. The icon appears, but I only get a menu with two options: "Turn Off Bluetooth", and "Preferences". If I click "preferences" I get a dialog that says "Bluetooth is disabled", and a "Turn on bluetooth" button. [Bug 594521] [NEW] I cannot install new gnome-screensaver themes
Public bug reported: I've followed the instructions in: http://live.gnome.org/GnomeScreensaver/FrequentlyAskedQuestions#How_can_I_create_a_new_theme_for_a_pre-existing_theme_engine.3F, but I cannot get any new themes installed. I've removed all the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications/screensavers/, but the themes persisted, even after reboot. Only after a system update the themes were deleted. I copied them back, but they don't appear.
