[Bug 1245979] Re: After Upgrade to Kubuntu 13.10 akondai fails to register at d-bus session, making kde-pim suit unusable
Ok guys. I just installed the Kubuntu 13.10 updates from 4.11.2 to KDE 4.11.3 and to Kernel 3.11.0-13. The first thing is that the above described three commands now lead to crashes of Kontact and Akonadi AND that Kontact now works normal again, even after rebooting. I hope it stays this way - will give feedback on this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1245979 Title: After Upgrade to Kubuntu 13.10 akondai fails to register at d-bus session, making kde-pim suit unusable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/akonadi/+bug/1245979/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 716311] Re: flash not installed
I have the same problem and it still exists. [Bug 468072] Re: rt2500usb wireless does not work
I want to confirm this bug. I have two computers with Ralink rt2500pci and rt2500usb wireless cards and i cannot connect to any wireless, using both the network-manager- plasmoid and WICD in kubuntu karmic. It workes with 9.04 in both cases though. The nm-plasmoid does connect to the network but fails in the assigning IP step. Seems to be a kernel driver regression introduced in the kernel from jaunty to karmic (the poster before me states some alpha version when it still worked). -- rt2500usb wireless does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/468072 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 356287] Re: Network Manager fails to apply static IP address
Well, after the update to Karmic (9.10), the network-manager-plasmoid seems to work with static IPs now?? At least, I can get a wired connection with static IPs to work and it also remains working after several reboots in my case. Well, I do not want to get overexcited about this, but could it be that the standard network manager in Kubuntu FINALLY works with static IPs? It didn't work since 2 years now! That would be indeed a improvement! Huge thanks to the guys who made it suck considerably less!!! elsevier -- Network Manager fails to apply static IP address https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-network-manager in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 356287] Re: Network Manager fails to apply static IP address
Before I start complaining: thnaks guys for the 9.04 Kubuntu release! I was looking forward to this release since the release of 8.10! ;-) Anyhow, I unfortunateley I have to confirm this bug. Neither does the nm plasma widget in 9.04 Kubuntu accept static ip adresses, nor is the scaling of the widget fortunate. In my case, not even closing and reopening of the widget does give a correct scaling of the plasmoid. If I connect to the static IP wired connection the widget does seem to do exactly nothing. It works with DHCP though. With the static IP connection set, the only reaction of the widget AT ALL is to state not plugged in if cable is removed completeley, which changes to disconnected upon plug in of the cable. Please guys, I really love Kubuntu since 7.04, but since then never ever did the standard network applet (Knetworkmanager and now the nm widget) work completely (meaning e.g. having the same functionality as the network stack in WinXP). I have about 2-5 university friends here which love to test Kubuntu, but with these kind of serious and basic issues I just cannot advise them to try Kubuntu, which is really unfortunate, because it is not mine but YOUR creation not getting appreciated!
