[Bug 349943] Re: Screen blinks randomly on external monitor

2016-05-17 Thread Guria
I have a very similar behaviour on my i7 PC with two Benq monitors: 23" vga and
24" dvi.
Dvi one can blink several times in a row or not to blink for some long time.
Haven't found any consistent pattern about it.
I am running Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 that I have upgraded to 16.04 recently. Problem
was from very beginning and continues after upgrade.

[Bug 603707] [NEW] mouse pointer disappear while not move

2010-07-09 Thread Guria
Public bug reported:

mouse pointer disappear while not move. Maybe it proposed behavior, but
it introduces a lot of bugs. tooltips blink can blink, elements under
pointer can lost mouseover state, etc. In fullscreen game pointer jumps
every several seconds to place where it was a several seconds ago (I
think it doesn't detect that pointer changed its coordinates and on next
mousemove event set it to previous coords)

Maybe https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/16492 is
related to this bug.

[Bug 368862] Re: unclutter default idle time is too short

2010-07-09 Thread Guria
Even a 3 seconds is too short. It should be about 5 to 7 seconds if keyboard
doesn't used at this time.
While browsing I'm bring mouse over the link to see it's destination in the
bottom of Chromium window. Destination hint shows a shorten form of url for a
first few seconds, if url too long. This shorten form often enough because
Chromium tries to show most significant parts of url. But I've to wait a few
seconds when I want to know exact url. Hiding pointer by unclutter turns off
url hint making me unavailable to see exact url.

I don't know GTK's internals, but I still try to make suggestion.
Can setting opacity to cursor instead of hiding resolve this issue?

[Bug 588593] [NEW] [clock applet]correct a pair of timezones in edit location dialog

2010-06-01 Thread Guria
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Europe/Samara tz should be exactly the same as Europe/Moscow and Asia/Kamchatka
is now equal to Asia/Magadan.
But timezone selectbox says us that Europe/Samara and Asia/Kamchatka doesn't
have difference between Summer and Winter time. First I thought that is poor
fix of this timezones in tzdata
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tzdata/+bug/540295) but
investigating shows that tzdata is right. Now I think that it just misspelling
in labels. See the attached screenshot.

Thanks for providing the way to check tzdata. Above commands works
exactly same for me. It seems there is an issue in another package, but
I don't know which (I assume it clock applet). See the screenshot. This
is menu for selecting timezone in edit location dialog.

I didn't understand: have any changes mad since my last comment? I
haven't received any updates for tzdata and in my system Europe/Samara
(GMT+4/GMT+4) still not equal to Europe/Moscow (GMT+3/GMT+4). The same
thing for Kamchatka and Magadan's zones.

[Bug 577612] [NEW] brasero doesn't offer to insert another disk on write failure

2010-05-08 Thread Guria
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

I have inserted DVD-Video disk and selected to run Brasero in autoplay window.
Then I started copy process with the same drive as destination. I've insertink
blank DVD disk after finishing of making temporary image but burn process has
failed for a some reason. Brasero offer to Save log or to Close but in both
cases it closes and throws away already copied an image in despite of I still
need to make a copy.
Expexted behavior is that Brasero should ask to try burn image again.
I think it should make such offer not only in this case but also in all others
burn fails.

[Bug 540295] Re: Several timezone in Russia will moves to neighbors one since 28.03.2010

2010-05-06 Thread Guria
Just looked at timezones more precisely. Unfortunately changes are
wrong. In changed tz's was set only summer time, but winter time stays
unchanged. This timezones doesn't exists already in fact. Europe/Samara
is now exactly equal Europe/Moscow, Asia/Kamchatka is Asia/Magadan.
Follow next link for details: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-
zone/russia/time-zones/index.htm Also, please don't forget to provide
this info to upstream or other distributions.
