There is nothing can be done other than realize that ubuntu sucked bug time, by letting this happen. If all they do is just make the code into packages and release with out even testing if this works and with out even attempting to look what's wrong, then it sucks big time. [Bug 359392] Re: [i965] X freezes starting on April 3rd
I thought UXA was the perfect solution for me and it was for past week. But now I am having frequent freezes even with UXA ON, though repro.sh won't trigger it. It seems that moving back to intrepid is a viable option. -- [i965] X freezes starting on April 3rd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359392 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 364508] Re: jaunty with UXA enabled X freeze on KDE 4 log out
This freeze is occuring only with 2.6.28 kernel. Its working perfectly in 2.6.29.1 kernel. But in 2.6.30.rc2 kernel it gives a blank screen but no X freeze. I can switch virtual terminals and caps lock keys works , which was not in the case of 2.6.28 kernel. There is one more bug I reported with UXA on 28 kernel6.29.1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/362362 The 2.6.29.1 kernel fixes that also. Since I cannot reproduce with newer kernels than the one shipped with jaunty, I cannot provide any debug information. -- jaunty with UXA enabled X freeze on KDE 4 log out https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364508 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 359392] Re: [i965] X freezes starting on April 3rd
I was planning to switch to fedora 11 when rc is released. Now dropped that plan. So now the only option for a good desktop for intel users is to switch back to intrepid. Considering this is in upstream for some time, I think by the time this is fixed it will be time for ubuntu 9.10 . -- [i965] X freezes starting on April 3rd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359392 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 338669] Re: (Needs UXA) painting artifacts after qt4.5 upgrade on intel chipset
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187356 Look at what upstream developers have to say. The say they have recommended not to use qt 4.5 with kde 4.2. And that is the problem, I think. [Bug 335777] Re: (Jaunty) plasmoid-network-manager does not remember configured connection
I am also having the same problem. I have set my wireless connection to auto connect mode. But if I miss the login part ie I didnt type kwallet password for a long time an then I type kwallet password and then try to connect by clicking in the list of connections shown in in plasmoid it does not look up the already stored one. It creates a new configuration. Result is that wireless tab in Network management has a lot of connections by same name all with same configuration. Same also applies if some how the power goes off and then comes back and I try to reconnect thorugh the plasmoid it asks to create a new configuration.
