[Bug 1899238] [NEW] package doesn't install - newer version in main repo available
Public bug reported: This bug report is about the package kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi (3.6.4-1~focal) focal, released in the Kodi stable PPA (ppa:team-xbmc/ppa). The package is not available, because there seems to be a newer version available in the main Ubuntu repository. [Bug 1092810] [NEW] USC performance bad
Public bug reported: On my computer the Ubuntu Software Center is far from usable. It takes about 30 seconds until i can something into the search window. In this time, the contents of the GUI are redrawn three times. Installing commercial games like the ones from the Humble Indie Bundles takes a huge amount of time, in which the computer is barely usable at all. After minutes of waiting it is now clear if there is something installed at all. I have to wait for about 30 seconds to get a result from a search while installing any software. The time I have to wait is highest whenever I try to install a downloaded .deb - it often takes minutes even for a small 20kb program. USC is much slower when there are other programs (Firefox, Thunderbird e.g.) running too. CPU is going nuts. I expect the USC to perform as fast a synaptic does when installing software. Not to mention gdebi for pre-downloaded packages. I hope this issue will be resolved in the future. [Bug 874073] Re: pop-up notification hides when mouse reaches it
This is actually no bug, it'a feature. These popups are not designed to interact with them, but to just inform you. It's a design decision the Ubuntu guys took which will not be changed. They are designed to not be in the way. This is why the notification hides as soon as you move the mouse over it. You may have noticed that you can interact with anything below the popup. [Bug 853056] Re: Cannot select ICC profile
I believe this will not be fixed any time soon, as it's not a fault in Ubuntu. The new Gnome 3 settings don't provide this functionality as of now. As a workaround, you can do the following: 1. install argyll color management suite 2. create a file containing the following: #!/bin/bash dispwin /path/to/your/icc/profile.icc 3. make the file executable 4. add the newly created skript to your start programs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/853056 Title: Cannot select ICC profile To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-color-manager/+bug/853056/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 783121] [NEW] Suspend/Hibernate not working / was flawless in 10.10
Public bug reported: Since upgrading to 11.04 (from 10.10) neither suspend nor hibernate are working any more. The system just doesn't power down, i.e. power LED is ON, fans are rotating and the monitor doesn't power off. At that stage no input is possible any more, keyboard and mouse are non functional. I have to reset or shutdown the computer with the hard keys. After booting, the sound card (Soundblaster Audigy) is muted. (when booting from powered off state it isn't muted). I tried to do some self-debugging using the guidelines I found here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume Following the instructions, I found that neither suspending nor hibernating from text mode shows anything on the screen. Using the instructions for per-subsystem hibernate testing I was able to gather some info. Find it attached to this bug report. As suspend/hibernate worked in 10.10, this is a regression. [Bug 763759] [NEW] Unity dash doesn't minimize
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity The Unity dash doesn't minimize open programs. Try for yourself: 1. Open Firefox using the dash on the left hand side of the screen by clicking on it again 2. Click the Firefox icon again. Nothing will happen. I believe this is huge usability setback, as I expect at least _something_ to happen when I click on the programs icon again. It simply should minimize like in the default gnome interface lower panel. This is regression. I know it worked until Lucid Beta-2. In Ubuntu 9.10 it's working fine too. And it works when I use another end point. I have two routers, both Linksys models.
