[Bug 1553882] Re: GPU hangs after resume from suspend
I have been running linux-image-4.6.0-040600rc6-generic for two weeks now. And have not experienced a GPU hang since. ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-4.6-rc6 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1553882 Title: GPU hangs after resume from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1553882/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1553882] Re: GPU hangs after resume from suspend
Ah, of course, I have to install the corresponding headers too, so that DKMS module gets built. Now I'll run daily on the latest kernel, that will increase the testability. Additional symptom to the bug report. Sometimes instead of freezeing, GPU accelerated windows get kinda disturbed - flickering and artefacts on screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1553882 Title: GPU hangs after resume from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1553882/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1553882] Re: GPU hangs after resume from suspend
I'll try. Problem is that it's not happening every time. If I suspend and resume a moment later, it usually still works. And I cannot just run on the newest kernel all the time, because it's my main work machine and I need Virtualbox guests to work. [Bug 1380480] [NEW] network disabled after suspend - resume
Public bug reported: Background: this started to happen after the upgrade to Utopic Beta 1 3) When I close the laptop's lid and open, the wifi should reconnect 4) Wifi does not reconnect. It says Wi-Fi networks - disconnected when I left-click on NM icon in notif area. However the context menu (right-click) has items Enable networking and Enable Wi-Fi both with checkmarks. Workarounds: switch off - on the physical switch on laptop OR two times go and select Enable networking in the NM context menu (after first time it removes checkmark and the Enable Wi-Fi item - visual feedback of being disabled). This bug should really have higher importance. Both laptops that I have upgraded to 14.04 have this bug, can't vote twice though :) Are you sure it's the fault of xfce4-power-manager? [Bug 1289992] Re: blueman-applet crashed with Exception in start_server(): Configured share directory /home/username/Publiczny does not exist
Same here after upgrading from 13.10 to 14.04. I'm quite sure I did use Blueman during these ~6 months, with no problems. Path in my report title was /home/username/Public NOTE: username not replaced here. That is what the actual error says. [Bug 999875] Re: My camera stopped showing video feed since about two weeks ago
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.14-rc3-trusty/ has only i386 packages and although directory name says v3.14-rc3, inside there are only packages with 3.13 ... rc3 in their file names(?? :(). Anyway, I tried :) but got only blinking CapsLock. Then I searched and found out that one can not run 64 software on 32 kernel :) Then with high hopes tried amd64 packages from v3.14-rc2-trusty, but they also gave me blinking CapsLock :( Then I tried v3.14-rc2-trusty packages with my Trusty test installation, kernel worked but still no video. [Bug 622238] Re: blank screen on resume from suspend
Fixed for me in latest Natty, but only with Nvidia binary drivers. With Nouveau still blank after resume. Although I can change LCD's brightness in that state, so display is switched on at least partially, so I guess it's something to do with video signal not being delivered from card to display. only after reading the referred bug #660649 bug I understood that i can bypass the 2 min fsck just by removing symlink. I did it and it worked! fsck now complains about missing fsck.btrfs but that's ok. Joke, You could get rid of those 20 min, too.
