[Bug 84880] Re: firefox uploads files with wrong mimetype
I found a fix for the issue. While I am not sure what is causing it (firefox or ubuntu) the problem is in the mimeTypes.rdf. delete the file while firefox is not running and the problem is gone. Whenever firefox downloads a file with a wrong mimetype it will record the broken mimetime along the file extension in that file and use that again when uploading files. This is contagious, once a download is done with a bad type it is persisted and will be used for an upload, if the remote site keeps the mimetype from the upload and uses that when sending the file to the next user with firefox it will record it in that users mimetypes -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/84880 Title: firefox uploads files with wrong mimetype To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/84880/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can confirm this behaviour as well with Thinkpad T43. Worked like a charm with Intrepid, and is broken since upgrade to Jaunty. I tried - clean reinstall - AC power connected/disconnected - changed permissions The settings are correctly present in sys, but they do not have an affect. (For some minutes it works, though. Manual changeing works, then it gets stuck to lowest CPU speed again. Weird.) -- CPU frequency gets stuck at the lowest frequency after resume from suspend (ThinkPad T60p) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138465 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 220136] Re: does not provide codecs to translate on hardy
This packages indeed breaks asterisk when using with capi! Installing the intrepid package with dpkg --force-depends fixes the problem, too. :) -- does not provide codecs to translate on hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 174759] Re: Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash
Starting with -Xint (vmargs) should fix the problem - which switching to Fedora wouldn't, since the bug is from upstream Java/JVM. -- Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Upgrading to the Jdk 6 u10 beta version fixes the problem, too. afaik there is no package of it yet, so the jdk must be replaced manually. -- Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 174759] Re: Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash
Same hier - downgrade or -Xint fixes the problem. AMD64 dual core machine. -Xint is really a serious performance hit. [Bug 215123] [NEW] (Hardy) Java crashes with 1.6.0 u5 AMD64
Public bug reported: JVM crashes on Amd64 platform running eclipse. Downgrading to gutsy jvm solved the problem. Was not reproducible with all eclipse projects.
