[Bug 433142] Re: geode driver do not display 1024x600 on (K)UNR Karmic
I upgraded my twinhead e10 to Maverick (clean install) and things worked beautifully out of the box (geode version installed by default is 2.11.9-5). It booted up in 640x480 but after selecting 1024x600 (these are the only two options, fine by me!) and then Make default apply it now boots up with the correct resolution every time. And there was much rejoicing! Thanks everyone for your help, I really appreciate it. Wonderful! I can confirm that with 2.11.9-5 on my TwinHead Twinmate e10 I can now get the correct ratio. [Bug 433142] Re: geode driver do not display 1024x600 on (K)UNR Karmic
Hello, If I run ps -aux | grep Xorg I get the error message bad ps syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'? See http://procps.sf.net/faq.html; which says According to the POSIX and UNIX standards, the above command asks to display all processes with a TTY (generally the commands users are running) plus all processes owned by a user named x. If that user doesn't exist, then ps will assume you really meant ps aux. The warning is given to gently break you of a habit that will cause you trouble if a user named x were created. which doesn't mean much to me :o) Anyway, after the error message it outputs a line that looks like this: jenny 0.0 0.03252 YYY pts/0 S+ 0.00 grep Xorg With a number that is different every time the command is run (and YYY changes sometimes). Neither killing 3252 nor any of the numbers does anything, it says no such process each time... [Bug 485185] [NEW] f-spot folder export fails to rotate resize image if resize to set to larger than the original.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot If you try to export a file to a folder using the Folder Export Plugin, and choose to resize it to something larger than the original, it seems to work fine, but when you go to open it, it is the same size as it was before. This might be the expected behaviour (as in the resize is presumably designed to create thumbnails, and making it larger than the original would degrade the quality of the photo) but it IS a little counter intuitive. Anyway, the real problem for me was that in the case where you choose a larger size than the original AND to rotate it, it fails at both operations. I know that example is silly (why would you want to make it bigger?), but this might come up if you are exporting a bunch of photos of an event, and one happens to be taken from a mobile phone. You choose to resize and rotate them all to 750px to send them in an email. It would tell you everything went well, but if the photo from the mobile phone was less than 750px to begin with, then it will still be at original size and will NOT be rotated. All the other ones rotate resize fine. I guess I would like to have the photo rotate whether or not it is resized successfully. [Bug 485185] Re: f-spot folder export fails to rotate resize image if resize to set to larger than the original.
Attaching a video of me trying to export a single photo (640x480px) to a folder, with resize set to 1000px rotate enabled. The export says it went fine, but it is the same size and has not been rotated. ** Attachment added: export-to-folder-issue.ogv http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35845746/export-to-folder-issue.ogv -- f-spot folder export fails to rotate resize image if resize to set to larger than the original. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 485185] Re: f-spot folder export fails to rotate resize image if resize to set to larger than the original.
** Description changed: Binary package hint: f-spot If you try to export a file to a folder using the Folder Export Plugin, and choose to resize it to something larger than the original, it seems to work fine, but when you go to open it, it is the same size as it was before.
