[Bug 1011371] Re: mysql 5.5.24, 5.1.63, 5.0.x security update tracking bug

2012-06-11 Thread sseitz
Regarding #2:
You're right. I've tried on identical 12.04 LTS 64bit.
Vulnurable on Xeon E5654
Not vulnurable on Xeon E5345
Both machines are paravirtualizes Xen DomU, so it looks like the system is
vulnurable by the availability of sse4 only. It looks like the existence of
Xen virtualizationlayer doesn't matter.

[Bug 965371] Re: HTTPS requests fail on some sites on Ubuntu 12.04

2012-04-02 Thread sseitz
Regarding #12
I'ld also suggest, to wait for an upstream solution. The side-effects of
non-working SSL are far too big to be ignored or being addressed to the other
end of the SSL connection.
One can't argue to a customer running webshops, that paypal has an invalid
implementation of TLS.

[Bug 968085] [NEW] 1.0.1-2ubuntu2 client side connect problem

After updating a precise amd64 server from libssl1.0.0 (1.0.0g-1ubuntu1) to

I'm able to reproduce this behavior by trying to connect to

[Bug 810182] Re: unity_support_test crashed with SIGSEGV

2011-10-25 Thread sseitz
Regarding #21.
Thank You guys for trying to solve this issue, but I'm afraid I do not have to
different kinds of GPU at that machine.
Indeed, it's a quad monitor setup on two identical GeForce 7300 LE using
Oneiric's propriatery nvidia 280.13.
Just ask, if you need more logfiles, gdb outputs, etc... I'll post anything
which could be helpful, cause it's a bad fact that (at least my own) multi
monitor setups are getting worse by each release :(

[Bug 239420] [NEW] eog initial size on triple head configuration

2008-06-12 Thread sseitz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

eog obviously starts up with about 80% of screen width. If the screen is e.g.
3840 x 1024, eog starts with 2880x2065+480+46 which is really annoying as one
has to move and resize the window (not necessarily the shown image) a few times
to completely fit into the visible screen.
I propose two solutions:
a) keep last window position in mind an re-use it on startup
b) calculate on base of the screen height, not the screen width

anyway, thanks for providing this software ;)
