[Bug 1968783] [NEW] no return code from cinder api calls

2022-04-12 Thread Walt Boring
Public bug reported:

Trying to use the openstacksdk to call cinder's migrate_volume and i was
not getting any return code. The cinder API returns a 400 because the
volume I'm trying to migrate has a snapshot, so it will always fail.

The problem is the openstacksdk doesn't return anything from ANY of the
cinder calls. Checking the volume status after the migrate_volume call
is useless, because no action was taken on the volume.

So looking at the openstacksdk code, you can see almost all the cinder calls
don't return anything:
No return:
https://github.com/openstack/openstacksdk/blob/master/openstack/block_storage/v3/_proxy.py#L616

No Return:
https://github.com/openstack/openstacksdk/blob/master/openstack/block_storage/v3/_proxy.py#L588

No Return:
https://github.com/openstack/openstacksdk/blob/master/openstack/block_storage/v3/_proxy.py#L495

Yet, the underlying volume object's _action() method does return the result,
but the volume object doesn't return the result of that _action call here:
https://github.com/openstack/openstacksdk/blob/master/openstack/block_storage/v3/volume.py#L205

I've been running 21.10 since it was released and I haven't had the
problem on it. I honestly don't recall if I still had the issue on
21.04.

[Bug 1837437] Re: disk content permanently lost when changing LUKS password

2021-08-21 Thread Walt Pritz
Sorry to add to an old issue, but I can confirm the issue persists under
Ubuntu 18.04.5.

I can reliably reproduce the issue when installing 18.04.5 on physical
hardware, Lenovo ThinkPad P15 (20SUS5LJ00). The error message after
changing the passphrase in gnome-disks is:

Error changing passphrase

Error changing passphrase on device /dev/nvme1n1p3: Failed to add
the new passphrase: Invalid argument (udisks-error-quark, 0)

2021-04-01 Thread Walt Mankowski
I'm running Ubuntu 20.10.

But I think I can answer my own question. It just happened again, and
this time all I needed to run was run `apt update`. I didn't even
install anything! A quick google search found this page:
https://www.linuxuprising.com/2020/07/how-to-restart-gnome-shell-from-
command.html. I pressed Alt-F2 and then r, and that stopped the logging
without a reboot!

I'd still like to know why this suddenly keeps happening. 21.04 is due
out in a few weeks and I'm hoping that will fix it.

This has happened to me twice in the last two days. Until the fix is
available, is there any way to recover from it aside from rebooting?

[Bug 1915481] Re: [nvidia] gnome crashes with Fatal IO errors (lost connection to Xorg) after running `apt upgrade`

2021-03-17 Thread Walt Mankowski
Something different happened tonight, but it feels related so I'm going
to post it with this bug report.

Tonight I did an apt upgrade for a single package -- containerd. Gnome
didn't crash this time, but a short time later I noticed that
/var/log/syslog was filling up with the following messages:

Mar 17 20:35:29 scruffy gnome-shell[9529]: Object St.Bin (0x5558975eac80), has
been already deallocated — impossible to set any property on it. This might be
caused by the object having been destroyed from C code using something such as
destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs.

These 3 lines were being repeated dozens of times a second, and started
at the same time I did the upgrade. I didn't know how else to stop them
so I rebooted. After rebooting the system seems fine again.

I'll attach the output of journalctl -b0 > journal.txt

Note that the times seem a bit off to me. They seem to say I started the
update at 19:16:46, but according to journal.txt I ran `apt update` at
19:15:52. I think I ran `apt upgrade` earlier than 19:16:46 because the
first stack trace for gnome-shell is at 19:16:21.

One other odd thing is that while I got a new gnome login prompt fairly
quickly, it took me about half a dozen login attempts before I could
successfully login. I didn't get any errors; rather, the screen would go
blank and then I'd get the login prompt again.

There was nothing new under /var/crash, nor under
https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID.

[Bug 1915481] Re: gnome crashes after running `apt upgrade`

2021-02-15 Thread Walt Mankowski
Reproducing the crash exactly is basically impossible -- I have no idea
what I was doing to trigger it on January 6. The crashes I've been
experiencing happen seemingly at random while running `apt update`. It
may well happen again in the future, but based on past experiences it
will be with a different set of packages than the last time.

Also gnome-shell was updated on January 20, and the crashes have
continued to happen since then. But the last time I rebooted was after a
crash, so I just ran `journalctl -b-1 > prevjournal.txt` and I've
attached the results.

[Bug 1915481] Re: gnome crashes after running `apt upgrade`

2021-02-12 Thread Walt Mankowski
Thanks for replying so quickly. Unfortunately step 1 didn't show any
crash reports.

Step 2 doesn't show anything recent, but there were crashes on January 6
that might be relevant. They are:

gnome-control-center:
https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/28c05820-501b-11eb-9503-fa163e983629
gnome-shell: https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/16d604a2-501b-11eb-8b96-fa163e6cac46

Just to be clear, is the workaround from step 3 simply "comment out line
23 from /etc/apport/crashdb.conf and reboot"? There are a lot of other
suggestion in that bug report and I wanted to doublecheck that that's
all I need to do.

As for reproducing the crash, it's probably impossible to exactly
reproduce it since it only happens when I'm running `apt upgrade` to
install new packages, and these particular new packages have already
been upgraded. The best I can do is make the change, reboot, and wait
for it to happen again with some new set of packages.

installing the new packages.

[Bug 1915481] [NEW] gnome crashes after running `apt upgrade`

2021-02-11 Thread Walt Mankowski
Public bug reported:

This is the second time this week this has happened, and perhaps the
tenth time in the past few months. This time the packages it was
updating were: libsqlite3-dev:amd64 (3.33.0-1, 3.33.0-1ubuntu0.1),
libgnome-autoar-gtk-0-0:amd64 (0.2.4-2, 0.2.4-2ubuntu0.1),
libsqlite3-0:amd64 (3.33.0-1, 3.33.0-1ubuntu0.1), sqlite3:amd64
(3.33.0-1, 3.33.0-1ubuntu0.1), libgnome-autoar-0-0:amd64 (0.2.4-2,
0.2.4-2ubuntu0.1), wpasupplicant:amd64 (2:2.9-1ubuntu8,
2:2.9-1ubuntu8.1)

When it happened on Tuesday, the packages that were upgraded were:
friendly-recovery:amd64 (0.2.41, 0.2.41ubuntu0.20.10.1), snapd:amd64
(2.48+20.10, 2.48.3+20.10), snap-confine:amd64 (2.48+20.10,
2.48.3+20.10), openjdk-11-jre-headless:amd64 (11.0.9.1+1-0ubuntu1~20.10,
11.0.10+9-0ubuntu1~20.10), openjdk-11-jre:amd64
(11.0.9.1+1-0ubuntu1~20.10, 11.0.10+9-0ubuntu1~20.10), ubuntu-core-
launcher:amd64 (2.48+20.10, 2.48.3+20.10), plexmediaserver:amd64
(1.21.3.4014-58bd20c02, 1.21.3.4021-5a0a3e4b2)

When it happens the screen goes blank, and in about 10-15 seconds I'm
back at a gnome login prompt. Sometimes it kills my tmux session, but
this time it didn't.

Also about 24 hours after it happens I will suddenly start experiencing
network issues. I'll need to restart NetworkManager and then it will be
OK.

I created a gist with the contents of /var/log/syslog when it happened

It seems that way.

I'll try, but unfortunately I'm dealing with some serious family
issues right now that are occupying a lot of my time. It might be a
week or two before I can work on it.

[Bug 1875163] Re: rdiff-backup crashes when running backup

2020-08-30 Thread Walt Mankowski
My apologies. I resolved this locally back in April but I forgot to come
back here and update the ticket when I resolved the problem. This is a
known bug that has been fixed in the rdiff-backup repo:

https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues/310

The code was fixed way back in March, but it never made it into 20.04.

Since the files that were causing the errors for me were all in /run, my
fix was just to add /run to my list of excluded directories. That was an
easy decision for me since I probably should have been excluding them
anyway. Good luck!

[Bug 1875163] Re: rdiff-backup crashes when running backup

2020-04-28 Thread Walt Mankowski
I modified get_indexpath() in log.py to catch a TypeError exception and
return the string "TypeError" instead of aborting. It printed 4 errors:

ListError: 'TypeError' [Errno 13] Permission denied: b'/run/user/1000/doc'
ListError: 'TypeError' [Errno 13] Permission denied: b'/run/user/1000/gvfs'
ListError: 'TypeError' [Errno 13] Permission denied:
b'/run/user/1000/keybase/kbfs'
ListError: 'TypeError' [Errno 13] Permission denied: b'/run/user/141/gvfs'

I'm not really sure what's wrong with the first 3. Maybe they're odd
because they're in /run? The final file does really look like it might
be corrupted.

At any rate it looks like the easy fix on my end is to exclude /run from
my backups.

2020-04-26 Thread Walt Mankowski
I'm afraid I don't know nearly enough Docker to be able to do that. But
I do know Python. I just took a look at the code and I think I should be
able to trap the TypeError exception pretty easily.

I'm currently running `rdiff-backup --check-destination-dir` to undo the
failed backup. Once that finishes I'll rerun the backup in the debugger
and report back on what I find. Hopefully that will let me set up a
simple test case.

[Bug 1848621] Re: [snap] lost all passwords on 19.10 when chromium-browser deb was replaced by a snap

2019-10-19 Thread Walt Mankowski
I also had this problem. After running the command suggested above:

snap connect chromium:password-manager-service

it's now working again for me.

[Bug 1848891] [NEW] supertuxkart loses config and progress in 19.04 -> 19.10 update

2019-10-19 Thread Walt Mankowski
Public bug reported:

In 19.04 supertuxkart stores its configuration in
~/.config/supertuxkart/0.8.2/. In 19.10 it's stored in config-0.10/. The
old configuration doesn't seem to be used at all when starting the game
for the first time.

I asked on the #supertuxkart channel on freenode. They suggested copying
0.8.2/ to config-0.10/. That got me most of the way there, but some
things are still not working. In particular the supertux difficulty is
locked, and I've lost all my high scores.

2018-08-17 Thread Walt
"So Digium TE13x cards do not work unless the following lines are added
to dkms.conf & drivers are rebuilt -"

It's been over a year and this issue still exists. I would be very happy
if someone could provide more guidance/instructions on how to do the
"drivers are rebuilt" portion of this so that I could workaround the
issue!

[Bug 1727868] [NEW] New windows are unfocused and go below current window

2017-10-26 Thread Walt Mankowski
Public bug reported:

When new applications are launched from the terminal in 17.10, the
windows are unfocused and appear below the current window. This is the
opposite of the behavior in (at least) 16.10 and 17.04, where new
windows would appear focused and on top. This appears to be a feature in
Gnome 3, which is new in 17.10. Ubuntu users upgrading from earlier
versions should not be assumed to be familiar Gnome 3, nor with how to
tweak Gnome settings. The Release Notes should indicate this change and
document how to turn it off. Also, and more importantly, there needs to
actually be a way to restore the previous behavior. If there is, I've
been unable to find it in Settings, gnome-tweak-tool, or dconf-editor.

I'm also seeing this. After you configure the wlan0 settings and then
hit done to apply the configuration, the wlan0 interface vanishes and
never comes back w/o a reboot as well. The progress stops at 66% and
never resumes.

[Bug 1682864] [NEW] fail2ban should remove references to imap3 in 17.04

[Bug 1682696] [NEW] apcupsd installer silently overwrites apcupsd.conf

2017-04-13 Thread Walt Mankowski
Public bug reported:

I upgraded to 17.04 tonight, and when the install finished I started
getting reports that apcupsd could no longer communicate with my UPS.
The problem turned out to be that /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf was silently
overwritten by the installer. It changed the UPSCABLE and UPSTYPE
variables. Here are the changes I needed to make to get it working
again:

[Bug 1656856] [NEW] fail2ban looks in wrong log for postfix

2017-01-16 Thread Walt Mankowski
Public bug reported:

The postfix jails in fail2ban look in the mail.warn log. But the default
install of rsyslog has the mail.warn rule commented out, so nothing gets
logged there. Also I think the messages it's looking for go to mail.log,
not mail.warn.

[Bug 1511824] Re: Can't login as ordinary user with lightdm

2017-01-12 Thread Walt Mankowski
I figured out what my problem was, and since I haven't seen any
solutions anywhere else, hopefully this will be of some use to the next
person. In my case it turned out to be the Nvidia driver, which
installed its modules under /lib/modules/4.8.0-32-generic. When I
upgraded to 4.8.0-34, it couldn't find the drivers. See
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2349132 for more information.

Of course this doesn't explain why it was looking for pam_kwallet.so,
which I suspect is a separate issue.

[Bug 1585094] Re: Random stuck keys on Lenovo Yoga 13

2016-11-12 Thread Stefan van der Walt
I experienced this bug without changing the default keyboard layout, so
I don't think it is Neo2.

W.r.t. power supply: I typically experience it *more* frequently on
battery power, but it happens with both.

My current workaround is... using an external keyboard.

[Bug 1606358] Re: Ubuntu 16.04.1 unity disappears when set to autohide

2016-07-27 Thread Walt Corey
There is this guy..
http://askubuntu.com/questions/802468/menu-bar-and-launcher-missing-after-installing-updates-16-04-lts

which addresses virtualbox specifically.

It wouldn't submit, literally nothing happened. Now that was under a
16.04 image that was upgraded to 16.04.1.

When I did a fresh 16.04.1 install into VirtManager, yes, it worked,
right up until I set launcher to autohide, then it was good night
Charlie Brown. . If you are not using an existing 16.04(.0) image then
you can't reproduce the issue. But, as you can see from the above URL,
someone else reported the very same upgrade problem as I did.

SOmething you should take a look at is 1001255, that is likely the
culprit, with the exception of unable to move windows, as I reported as
well as the above url.

Are there no launchpad bugs opened against 16.04.1 re: immovable desktop
windows? Being a VM I am guessing the image's concept of its video
device is done externally like spice/qxl. Remember, when you first boot
a new image, the launcher is set to autohide=no. Turning autohide=yes
will immediately create the issue. As I mentioned im my comment in the
above askubuntu issue, renaming that subdir simply restores the laucher,
it does not fix autohide=yes.

Ah, very interesting! I brought that image back and the suggested 'fix'
of removing .config/compiz-1 restores the launcher but disables any
effect of setting the autohide. I showed it as autohide on yet the
launcher was visbile. I did restore setting, which turned autohide=off
and then switched it to on and it is showing, regardless of what I do.

I thought I'd try it with a different browser. I see chrome is not an
option so I tried the ubuntu brand browser...it won't let me choose the
file to attach. This stuff, your bug-ubuntu needs some work. This is
crazy. I just tried firefox again and it allows me to choose files but
the Submit Bug Report button is inop.

It appears I can provide no further information. The other thing
Sebastien, if you can not reproduce the bug, you can't verify the fix.

This is a critical bug for me. I can not upgrade existing 14.04 desktops
if doing so breaks them.

[Bug 1001255] Re: Launcher - unable to reveal Launcher when a window is full screen

2016-07-27 Thread Walt Corey
This may actually be the same resolution as 1606358. I did see one
launcher icon 'vibrate' so, yes, the launcher is actually off screen.
Also,

http://askubuntu.com/questions/802767/16-04-1-upgraded-vm-cannot-access-
unity-bar-on-left-nor-move-desktop-windows

references this same problem. Does the status of fix committed, which
this has, indicate the fix will be in 16.04.2 or in the next general
periodic software update? I would like to upgrade my 14.04 production
system as 16.04 I feel is faster but this bug makes 16.04.1 unusable for
me.

[Bug 1606358] Re: Ubuntu 16.04.1 unity disappears when set to autohide

2016-07-26 Thread Walt Corey
OK, I did describe two steps to reproduce. In the original case, it was
an existing 16.01 current with maintenance, that I in-place upgraded. As
it was existing I had already switched the launcher from autohide=off to
autohide=yes as well I already had a desktop icon. so there were two
artefacts of the upgrade, 1) no access to launcher and 2) applications
on the desktop were functional but there were not dragable by the
window's title bar. In order to determine if that was an upgrade bug or
a 16.04.1 bug I created a fresh vm of JUST 16.04.1 and could reproduce
the initial symptom of the launcher being absent but the terminal window
(context menu->new terminal) was drag-able.

There was a crash file in the first case of upgrading an existing
current 16.04 vm. I can get it to submit.

[Bug 1606358] Re: Ubuntu 16.04.1 unity disappears when set to autohide

2016-07-26 Thread Walt Corey
I guess I don't understand your question concerning what I changed. My
change was to upgrade a perfectly good 16.04 image that functioned
perfectly and after the upgrade and subsequent reboot there was no
louncher and if I started Netbeans 8.1 (a desktop icon) or started a
terminal session, both would start, neither were draggable.

It's unclear to me why the importance went from undecided to High
(which, yeah, I agree with as it's a major functionality regression, the
status from new to incomplete. I gave perfectly reproduceable steps. As
for what daemon or process is running I don't know. I am guessing it
would take less than 30 mins to have an 'in the lab' reproduction' of
the issue. In other words, this is not a wedge use case.

As for your question about turning on the autohide and restarting. I did
that too but as soon as I set no to yes, the problem existed. Uppon
reboot, it still existed. I hope that makes sense. What else would you
like? Oh, apport started throwing exceptions when I used it to create
this bug so perhaps everything it was supposed to provide was missing.

[Bug 1606358] [NEW] Ubuntu 16.04.1 unity disappears when set to autohide

2016-07-25 Thread Walt Corey
Public bug reported:

Initially I was going to report this against a completely working 16.04
VM using spice. In that case the system, once rebooted after the upgrade
failed to show launcher at all and no desktop applications could be
moved. This is new behavior in 16.04.1. All these things worked in
16.04.

To have a clean slate I created a brand new VM with the brand new
16.04.1 iso. It came up using spice just fine, as the default for the
launcher is autohide off. As I prefer the full desktop I turned autohide
to on and voilà.

Should you need further details, let me know. I use VMs to test new
systems before I upgrade my production 14.04 system to 16.04. As it is
an desktop existing system I am awaiting the software-updater prompt.

[Bug 1585094] Re: Random stuck keys on Lenovo Yoga 13

2016-05-24 Thread Stefan van der Walt
I see the same on my Yoga. When this happened a few years ago, the fix
was to update the BIOS (now 66CN55WW). A recent kernel upgrade broke
this again (I saw the problem return after upgrading to 16.04).

[Bug 1445200] Re: suggested patches for lpfc driver for 1404.3 SRU

2015-04-17 Thread Walt Esker
Bug 1439612 was meant to identify our solution for the 14.04.03 release.
We were unable to get all the patches/fixes we wanted for this driver,
as a number of fixes were not yet accepted into the kernel maintainer's
tree.

We were informed that 14.04.03 was locked down.

So, we opened this bug to make a recommendation for additional fixes to
be picked up via the SRU process for the 14.04.03 release stream. The
list of commit ids were recently accepted into Bottomley's tree.

Hope this helps clarify our intentions.

[Bug 1439327] Re: lpfc driver needs to be updated.

2015-04-10 Thread Walt Esker
Hi Brian, we are using this bug to track our submission for 14.04 (3.13
kernel). we are using bug 1439612 to track our submission for 14.04.03
(3.19 kernel) submission.

Nikhith's request would be to set the version number for the driver in
14.04 update.

Thanks,
Walt

2015-04-10 Thread Walt Esker
Brian, just want to confirm, earlier today, you mentioned that the Vivid
release is frozen. If so, then we may have to go with the driver you
have. We have been working with the Upstream kernel maintainers to get
some of our recent patches pulled into their tree. If there is a
chance, we would probably ask the team to pull in a few more patches for
consideration for this driver candidate for your Vivid kernel release.

Thanks,
Walt

RE: [Bug 1439327] Re: lpfc driver needs to be updated.

2015-04-01 Thread Walt Esker
OK. The challenge for us will be to see how fast we can do the
development work, create the Upstream patch set, get James or Christoph
to pull it in as it relates to your timeline for getting a solution from
Emulex for the 14.04.03 release.

I guess we will take it one step at a time and communicate our progress
on getting the Upstream patch pushed to the scsi misc list and then we
can track the progress together.

Walt

We prefer not to pick patches straight from the scsi ml list, but rather
to see the patches at least integrated into a subsystem maintainer's
tree first. If they are bug fixes, etc, please make sure they are CC'd
to upstream stable and we would naturally pick them up in our SRU
process when we pull patches from the stable v3.19.x tree.

[Bug 1426195] [NEW] No login screen after latest update

2015-02-26 Thread Walt Haas
Public bug reported:

This problem appeared immediately after running software update on
2015-02-26 UTC-700. The Xubuntu login screen fails to appear after
boot. It is possible to log in on the console at Ctrl-Alt-F2. Before
running update and rebooting, the login screen appeared normally.

When logging in on the console, the following error messages appear (they are
also in dmesg):
systemd-logind[965]: Failed to start unit user@112.service: Unknown unit:

[Bug 1291258] [NEW] Stuck keys on Lenovo Yoga 13

2014-03-12 Thread Stefan van der Walt
Public bug reported:

On the Lenovo Yoga 13 some keys, when being held down, are not released
(e.g. pagedn, up arrow, etc.). Once this happens, the mouse cursor also
starts scrolling in some or other direction (it can be moved with the
track-pad, but keeps moving in that direction).

Using an external keyboard fixes the problem.

At startup, the keyboard complains about unknown key events, but I
silence those using

sudo setkeycodes e03e 255
sudo setkeycodes e060 255

The behavior described here happens irrespective of whether these
commands were executed.

My temporary work-around is to put the machine to sleep; after wakeup
the keyboard works fine again.

[Bug 1206463] [NEW] Non-default themes will not remain selected

2013-07-30 Thread Walt Smith
Public bug reported:

Firefox 23 on Ubuntu 13.10 with gnome-shell Xfce installed. I can
download and select themes other than default. Firefox restarts behaves
correctly. However, on the next restart or on the second restart, the
default theme is active even though I do not wish it. I've noticed that
if I leave the Add-ons page open, after a few minutes the appearance
page will say that the default theme will be selected after restart.
This is with no input from me. Both gnome-shell Xfce DEs exhibit this
behavior, not sure about Unity. Firefox 23 exhibits no other
misbehaviors I'm aware of.

[Bug 1048141] Re: Ubuntu boots up in a black screen

2012-11-23 Thread Walt Corey
I had this problem with 12.04 on my laptop. After accepting an upgrade I
could no longer boot back in. I agree that acpi=off works solidly but,
from everything I've read, bad stuff can result. One thing I've noticed
myself as well as listening to others is you need to reboot several
times to be confident the issue is fixed. I followed one poster's advice
and removed ro, it worked once, not twice. I updated my rom to v12, it
also worked once, not twice. So there is a 'common' fix applied to both
12.04 and 12.10 that introduced this.

[Bug 874237] Re: Emulate3Buttons option does not work anymore to enable emulation of a middle button

2012-04-15 Thread walt
For future googlers: dconf-editor is an easier way to set the (very
stupid) gnome middle-button setting.

Run dconf-editor from a command prompt and navigate to org::gnome
::settings-daemon::mouse. You should see the middle-button-enabled
checkbox in the right-hand panel.

You should find this 'feature' documented in, um, well, I have NFI where
you should find this documented.

This bug report saved me a lot of time, thanks.

Re: [Bug 745960] Re: Cannot boot GRUB on Intel Mac after installing to LVM

2012-04-11 Thread Walt Corey
I believe there were several bugs open for essentially the same thing.
In my case if the partition was from a firmware RAID, grub wouldn't be
installed. I viewed this as a regression as originally, perhaps in the
7. time frame it didn't work with firmware raid unless one used the
alternate install, even for desktop. I believe in the 8. or certainly
the 9. time frame it would with the standard install, until 11.10 where
it once again broke.

Can anyone reproduce the originally reported issue with the 12.04 beta?
The developers have never been able to reproduce this; but there have
been improvements in the partition table handling in 12.04 that may have
fixed the bug along the way.

Re: [Bug 800684] Re: Lazarus code with Free Pascal does not work properly

2011-10-24 Thread Fanie van der Walt
Hi Petr,

Thank you. I will try it - next time I install Ubuntu with Unity.

Greetings,

Fanie van der Walt.

On 24/10/2011 11:40, Petr Hlozek wrote:
 Hi Bilal,

I had the same problem in my Lazarus application. Finally, I solved it.

You have to set LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR to 0 directly in your lazarus app.
This has to be done before widget set is inicialized. So I created a
unit called uScrollBars.pas and add it into initialization section.

 More at:

 http://cqrlog.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/cqrlog/branches/cqrlog_1.2.2/src/uScrollBars.pas?revision=339view=markup

You must add this unit into your project file as a first unit (or the
second if you are using threads in your app).

[Bug 740809] Re: export failed

2011-10-14 Thread Walt Howd
Bug still exists for zoneminder 1.24.2-2build3 on Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS.
Above fix will allow for exporting of events from the event listing
window but not from the event details window. This also breaks video
generation from the event details window.

[Bug 874412] [NEW] Should depend on zip package

2011-10-14 Thread Walt Howd
Public bug reported:

One of the main features is the ability to export captured events from
ZoneMinder. The export window allows two compression formats, tar and
zip. Most Windows users will choose Zip but the zoneminder package
dependencies don't include the zip package and binaries.

[Bug 745960] Re: Cannot boot grub after installing to LVM

2011-09-28 Thread Walt Corey
Stephane - In my case the level was Natty and the target was a Dell
system with firmware RAID 1 against two 750 GB drives. It never wrote
grub out. I could not get install to install grub. I ended up having to
disable firmware RAID and fumbling through software RAID. Ubuntu has
supported firmware RAID for several years now. I am guessing that
support was regressed out.
