[Bug 174343] Re: Flash player 9.0 r115 crashes nspluginwrapper in Konqueror
I can confirm 1000%, all flash player plugins, from (k)ubuntu downloads, and patch...etc AND even directly from adobe, will Crash and Burn Konqueror every time I visted, a Flash based website.. youtube.com or veoh.com.. CRASH BURN fault errors. MAJOR FIRE Please note: I've install flash 18 times... from different sources, Some gave the Check Sum errors, but most installed, But would not pass the youtube.com and veoh.com acid test. Well, it would Appear, That Konqueror in 7.10 needs a Major UPDATE, to deal with the more current media streams. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apport a crash happens, like with strigi (example) then reporter lanuches, then grabs data, then open konqueror, but the data it grab is not being reported. it should work like this: everyone has account with launchpad, then we enter that info, into crash reporter, so when a crash happens, reporter grabs, the data, (in the background) reports it (uploads) into launchpad under a heading. much better than this. ** Affects: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- approt not loading crash report into launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 68338] Re: sky2 driver stalls
I suspect you may have a different issue, potentially even a hardware or BIOS issue. The sky2 lock-ups are fixed for me and others who reported the problem. Your lock-ups are probably not related to the original bug that was causing everyone else's lock-ups. You should file a separate support request on Launchpad. I sincerely hope your situation does improve. -Forest -- Nope, its not that, since I can run bsd with no problem, for networking, and windows xp and vista, with no problems, as well, ONLY with the sky2 driver, take a poll, to see how many are really fix ( without major hacking) not many.. search for sky2, in launch pad, you will see problems all over. My laptop was brand new AMD 64bit gateway back in Feb 2006, again, it has all the extras, and the dreaded broadcomm 43xx wireless driver. in-fact, the only way for me to connect without issues, is using a nswrapper driver, and hacking the 43xx wireless. had no-download issue going wireless. [Bug 65794] Re: Cups Can't set up a new espon c86 printer (USB)
I've tried a fix that was posted, in the launchpad, via another similar case, where I did this: Ok, just noticed that changing the cups server from localhost to 127.0.0.1 in the print configuration dialog of kprinter fixes the problem (system options = cups server = host). No more connection errors and the printers are visible. Link:https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/65665 --- AND NOW, my printer setup is hosed, and so is cups... in cups server, I just add a extra line listen: 127.0.0.1:631 and know, I can't even open cups server configure, and open anything related to printer setup. HOSED. ( so is kprinter) hjangs NOW WHAT ? do I have to re-install the OS AGAIN ? please email if you got the magic pill, to this major bug in cups. (running edgy 6.10 live cd 10-11-2006 ) with updates. Next LOOK at the MTU's of eth1 (which is the 10/100 to the my cable modem ) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ip link list 1: lo: LOOPBACK,UP,1 mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 2: eth1: BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,1 mtu 576 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 1000 link/ether 00:03:25:28:93:b3 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3: eth0: BROADCAST,MULTICAST mtu 1500 qdisc noop qlen 1000 link/ether 00:14:a5:41:e4:99 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 4: sit0: NOARP mtu 1480 qdisc noop link/sit 0.0.0.0 brd 0.0.0.0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ -- See how its set to 576 AND NOT 1500, this would explain allot of very slow downloads.. and stalling. -- Now if I do this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ifconfig eth1 mtu 1500 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ip link list 1: lo: LOOPBACK,UP,1 mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 2: eth1: BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,1 mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 1000 link/ether 00:03:25:28:93:b3 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3: eth0: BROADCAST,MULTICAST mtu 1500 qdisc noop qlen 1000 link/ether 00:14:a5:41:e4:99 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 4: sit0: NOARP mtu 1480 qdisc noop link/sit 0.0.0.0 brd 0.0.0.0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ You can see its NOW that I've set the MTU's to 1500 and my download speeds have increase allot very much so. -- BUT WHEN, I reboot, my laptop and do this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ip link list 1: lo: LOOPBACK,UP,1 mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 2: eth1: BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,1 mtu 576 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 1000 link/ether 00:03:25:28:93:b3 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3: eth0: BROADCAST,MULTICAST mtu 1500 qdisc noop qlen 1000 link/ether 00:14:a5:41:e4:99 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 4: sit0: NOARP mtu 1480 qdisc noop link/sit 0.0.0.0 brd 0.0.0.0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ --- As you can see the MTU's are Back to 576 and not setting at 1500 SO, THERE IS a bug with DHCP or your ethernet driver somewhere??? Hope this is enough information to FIX it, if not please email me.
