[Bug 286828] Re: Access to samba 3.0.24-3.0.25 shares using CIFS is broken on 8.10
I just installed the new kernel (2.6.27-9-generic x86_64), but this fix doesn't seem to have made it in there yet. nodfs seems to be an unknown mount option for cifs. Any indication as to which update will have this fix? Andreu Bonsoir, Non ce n'est pas identique, avec networkmanager on avait une icone près de l'horloge il suffisait de cliquer dessus pour voir apparaitre tous les réseaux sans fil et après la config se fait toute seule, avec l'outil réseau, il faut tout rentrer manuellement, le ssid et tous les autres paramètres. Bonjour à tous, En essayant de tester le rendu de deux vieux écrans que j'ai récupéré, j'ai un peu, beaucoup, passionnément flingué quelque chose dans X11. Ce que mon écran d'origine, que j'ai remis, n'a absolument pas apprécié. Il me fait un BZZ inquiétant au démarrage, ce que mon ignorance traduit par Attention, je vais finir par exploser!!! Je n'ose plus l'allumer maintenant!!! Pensez-vous que c'est vraiment sérieux comme menace (B) ou bien juste une irritation passagère? Tous ces tests ont multiplié les fichiers xorg.conf. dans mon X11. Comment faire le ménage là-dedans, et ne garder que celui de mon écran d'origine? Merci à vous. Si tu as des craintes là dessus, boot en single user (recovery mode), et lance le dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg en mode texte. Sans session graphique, ça m'étonnerait que tu puisse abîmer ton moniteur (à ma connaissance, la seule chose qui peut éventuellement abimer un moniteur est l'envoi de fréquences non supportées, mais ça fait un paquet d'années que les moniteurs ont une protection, ils s'éteignent en affichant en général un truc du genre input signal out of range). Pour ton bzzz, je pencherais plutôt sur le câble d'alimentation mal rebranché... Comment faire pour virer à la main les fichiers xorg.conf obsolètes générés par mes tests sur les différents écrans. J'en ai 8 dans /etc/X11/ et je ne pense pas qu'ils soient tous utiles, j'ai aussi des fichiers du genre xorg.conf 20081127155842, xorg.conf.failsafe, 1-2-3 et un failsafe.bak! Les partitions ont peut-être un problème si j'en crois les nombreuses lignes qui défilent sous mes yeux avant l'écran noir et qui semblent décrire des pb de disque. Gparted me dit que ma partition de données perso(70Go) n'existe pas, alors que je peux manipuler ces données... Je suis en train de déplacer tous les fichiers perso de ce disque pour un formatage complet du disque. On verra Merci pour votre aide et je vous tiens au courant. Frank Mes péripéties continuent... Après avoir échoué dans de multiples tentatives d'installation de 8.10 et 8.04 desktop et alternative j'ai rangé mes CD ubuntu et j'ai installé une fedora 8 que j'avais sous la main. ça marche. alors je me suis dit que tant qu'a faire autant installer la dernière mouture, fedora 10. Et là même problème qu'avec hardy ou intrepid. Ecran noir au démarrage de gdm. N'y aurait-il pas quelque chose à voir entre ces distributions récentes ? mon PC est de 2007, carte mere Asus k8N + intel 2 cpu 6600 à 2.4GHz. En attendant je télécharge la 7.10 et je tenterai une maj vers 8.04. Que de temps passé et c'est pas fini... Si vous avez une piste... Justement, il faut peut-être pas les virer. Parmi eux il y en a peut-être un qui est ton bon xorg.conf. Peut-être celui qui est le plus ancien à essayer en premier. Renomme ton fichier xorg.conf en xorg.conf.BAD. Renomme ensuite tes fichiers xorg.conf.xxx un à un en xorg.conf afin de les essayer un à un. Il y a de forte chance pour qu'il y en ait un qui marche. OK, I found a way around the video not detecting the 1024x768 resolution. currently only went up to 800x600. Now goes to 1024x768. It's a pain, but here's how; Install Ubuntu 7.10/Gutsy. Then change the monitor in DisplayConfig to Generic LCD 1024x768. Restart Computer. Then go to /etc/X11 copy the RGB xorg.conf files to a USB drive. Install Ubuntu 8.10/Intrepid. Then install Guidance Backend then install displayconfig. use the ROOT nautilus copy the RGB xorg.conf files from the USB to the /etc/X11. Restart the computer it should automatically recognize stretch the display to the 1024x768. I really don't think you even need those packages installed.I currently have a SONY VAIO R505 with Intel video PIII. If you need more details, pls let me know. Then change the monitor in DisplayConfig to Generic LCD 1024x768. Restart Computer. Then go to /etc/X11 copy the RGB xorg.conf files to a USB drive. Install Ubuntu 8.10/Intrepid. Then install Guidance Backend then install displayconfig. use the ROOT nautilus copy the RGB xorg.conf files from the USB to the /etc/X11. Restart the computer it should automatically recognize stretch the display to the 1024x768. Public bug reported: After I did upgrade from ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10, CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor Applet (gnome-cpufreq-applet) show a blank field at startup. If I logout gnome session and login again, it works correctly. I have got a Lenovo Thinkpad Z60. Thanks a lot. this debug text appears, when I try to append data to a multisession disk, which was burnt on the windows partition of my acer Laptop with the burn program installed by acer. Because of the problem described I could not yet burn multisession CDs with brasero.
