Friends. I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 in my new laptop Acer Aspire 4745 with in Windows. GNOME-Sound Recorder is working, what I mean is I could not record voice, which is very much important for my profession. And also in top panel battery status applet is missing. Ton système et ton home se trouvent sur la partition sda1. La partition extended (sda2) et la swap (sda5) couvrent le même espace disque. En fait ça renvoie à différentes façons de partitionner un disque: sda1 est partitionné comme partition primaire, le type standard de partition d'un disque dur où on peut mettre le logiciel d'amorce (et obligatoirement le type de partition pour un système windows, Pour l'autre partition, je cite wikipedia : Lorsque l'on veut plus de quatre partitions, il faut donc créer une partition étendue. Cette dernière n'est ni plus ni moins qu'une partition primaire spéciale qui va contenir des partitions secondaires (ou lecteurs logiques pour MS-DOS et Windows). Depuis deux ou trois jours, Gwibber m'avertit continuellement que «identi.caneeds to be re-authorized». Je procède alors à l'authorisation, qui est validée. Pessoal blz , estou com um problemão aqui . Tem um PC com WinVista e Ubuntu ( dual boot ) , depois que atualizei para o ubuntu 10.10 , o desktop do nada some e vai pra o shell , com um monte de numeros . Eliminei a possibilidade de ser algum problema de Hardware ( memória e tal´s ) pois o Windows na mesma maquina roda tranqüilo . Pergunto alguem tem alguma dica pra me dar , será que tem algum log do problema para que eu possa procurar solução ??? [Ubuntu-BR] Como fazer Uma Restauração do SO ?
Tenho uma máquina com ubuntu 10.04 e baixei 200 mb de atualizações, e depois salvei no pen driver, e instalei em uma outra maquina com ubuntu 9.04, na instalação dos deb, ocorreu um, informando que houve um erro na instalação dos pacotes. Quando iniciei a maquiina ubuntu 9.04, com o novo kernel instalado deu erro nem iniciou, no grub apareceu dois kernel o novo(kernel do ubuntu 10.) e o antigo (kernel do unbuntu 9.04). Entaum escolhi o antigo, iniciou mas com muitos bugs, tudo travando, linguagem Ingles(en), Gostaria como faço para voltar as mesmas configurações de antes? Pois quando usava windows, quando o sistema dava pau, raramente eu formatava, eu apenas fazia uma reparação ou uma restauração do sistema e ficava tudo jóia. Eu peguei os .ded, que ficam na pasta /var/cache/apt Salvei no Pendriver e instalei na outra maquina, entrei no diretório e usei dpkf -i *.deb. No momento da instalação deu erro em alguns pacotes que nao puderam ser instalados corretamente, mas mesmo assim deu pau no sistema ubuntu 9.04. Você fez uma coisa que é extremamente não-recomendável de se fazer: misturou duas versões do sistema, e ainda versões distantes. Afinal, o que você queria fazer? O melhor mesmo é formatar, uma vez que você pode ter comprometido todo o sistema. Claro que há várias outras situações em que o Linux se sai bem sem formatação, mas esse é um caso extremo. Se você não quer formatar, dá pra corrigir, mas você terá muito trabalho e pode ser que não funcione. Abra o synaptic, nos botões embaixo à esquerda, escolha Estado. Na coluna acima, escolha o filtro Instalado (local ou obsoleto). Lá devem estar os pacotes que você instalou manualmente. Para cada pacote, selecione-o e tecle Ctrl+E. Ele vai mostrar a versão local e a versão do repositório. Mude para a versão do repositório. Depois clique em aplicar. Nessa última parte, você precisará de uma conexão com a internet, para baixar os pacotes corretos. Precisará também de um pouco de sorte, para que todos os pacotes estejam no local ou obsoleto e que sejam corrigidos. Viny, Imaginei que tive feito isso. O que acontece é que o Ubuntu 10.04 tem dependências diferentes do 9.04. Pode ser que um dist-upgrade para 10.04 resolva seu problema. Acredito que o modo correto de atualizar uma versão seria com os mesmos pacotes da versão ou modificando a versão para maior. Os procedimentos a seguir não são 100% seguro é por sua conta e risco: - modifique o arquivo /etc/apt/source.list e aonde está jaunty modifique para lucid e salve o arquivo - coloque os arquivos que você baixou na pasta correta /var/cache/apt/archives - execute no terminal aptitude update e depois aptitude dist-upgrade Isso vai atualizar sua versão da 9.04 para 10.04 e aproveitar os arquivos baixados que você colocou na /var/cache/apt/archives Boa Sorte como o nosso amigo Xisberto informou você pode ter comprometido o sistema, experimente apagar os arquivos de restauração do windows e mais algumas coisinhas também vai ficar bem difícil restaurá-lo sem formatar, mas isso é outro caso. [Ubuntu-BR] Problema com driver nvidia
Baixei o driver mais recente para a placa de video NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT no site da NVIDIA. Reiniciei o ubuntu 10.10 64 bits no modo gráfico e instalei o driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-260.19.12.run. Após a instalação, reiniciei o ubuntu mas ele não entrou no gnome diretamente, entrou no modo texto pedindo o login. Me loguei e ao tentar entrar no modo gráfico, com startx, aparece o seguinte erro no log: *Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module. Olá pessoal estou usando o Kubuntu 10.10, e instalei o kdenlive para editar vídeos e fazer slideshows, porém, não sei como salva os vídeos, em alguns tutoriais que encontrei estava mandando ir e exportar, mas esse kdenlive não tem essa opção, pelo menos esse do kubuntu 10.10. Fábio, O procedimento que segui foi o seguinte: 1. Entrei no recovery mode pelo grub para iniciar no modo texto, já que tinha que sair do X. 2. Instalei o driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-260.19.12.run. OBS: Antes de iniciar a instalação do driver, apareceu a seguinte mensagem: The distribution-provided pre-install script failed! Continue installation anyway? Escolhi yes e instalei mesmo assim. 3. No final da instalação rodei o nvidia-xconfig utility para configurar o X automaticamente, conforme me foi perguntado pelo assistente de instalação. Depois uma mensagem indicou instalação com sucesso. Após a instalação ao executar startx, o gnome é iniciado normalmente, mas ao reiniciar o ubuntu, o sistema tenta iniciar o gnome mas não consegue e vai para o modo texto e ao executar startx, aparece o erro: *Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module. Oi, A lib da vdpau está instalada? O pacote acredito ser libvdpau1. Tenta aí: sudo aptitude install libvdpau1 Se não quiser usar a vdpau, você pode escolher outra saída de vídeo nas preferências do player que você usa. Oi, É que o aptitude não vem mais instalado por padrão. Você teria que fazer um sudo apt-get install aptitude Ou usar o apt-get mesmo, em vez do aptitude. Tem também o gerenciador gráfico Synaptic. Bom, quanto ao vídeo, já que sua placa é onboard, é melhor você esquecer a vdpau e configurar a saída de vídeo do seu player para x11 (ou xv, não sei ao certo, usa a que funcionar). No GNOME MPlayer é lá em Editar, Preferências, Saída de Vídeo (Video Output). Geachte, Ik heb mijn update naar ubuntu 10.10 gedaan. Toen ik firefox startte werkte de e-id niet meer. (Error code: ssl_error_handshake_failure_alert) Ik heb een herinstallatie van de middleware moeten doen om firefox opnieuw te kunnen laten werken. Bij elke update gaat de verwijzing in de browsers verloren van de e-id (van 9.04 naar 9.10 problemen, van 9.10 naar 10.04 had ik ook problemen) Kan hier bij de update van ubuntu rekening mee gehouden worden? De seamonkey browser heb ik niet meer aan de praat gekregen. I tried the same steps and did not get /dev/sdh as the root, but I see that they do both have the same label, and concur that labels may not be the best way to differentiate these volumes. UUID also isn't unique, so I'm at a loss to identify a good way to determine which is which. EBS volumes and snapshots create this sort of problem regularly for me, generally with conflicting duplicate XFS UIDs which I have to override. I'm experiencing some issues with the root filesystem (only one fs on this system) being busy on reboots, running a lsof from umountroot shows that sshd is still running, which could be a reason for the root fs to be busy. As this information is not that easy to come by, here is a sample code for domain xml file. You have to specify driver tag with attribute type set to the image type. We now use the type= part. Something different but also related to this new behavior. Live migration seems to crash the VM with VM's started before the upgrades. I can't reproduce it beceause all hosts are upgraded and I now don't do live migrations anymore because of 3 fails out of 3. The live migration only crashes the VM when we use qcow2 and migrate to another host which is also upgraded. The destination host reads the qcow2 as raw ouch! The VM on the destination has the driver type='raw'/ with virsh dumpxml. My bad. libvirt-migrate-qemu-disks is unable to migrate my disks. The dumpxml output is the same after using libvirt-migrate-qemu-disks. I have an additional data point: the ssh daemon does not actually crash, it just stops responding for a few minutes. The connection was left intact during today's experiment, but no input was processed. It looks like a frozen connection, but it did come back into an active state eventually. I would have used UUID, but at the time that the initial /boot/grub/menu.lst is written in the vmbuilder code, there is no UUID because the filesystem has not been written yet (its in a chroot). update-grub-legacy-ec2 is what ends up writing this. That is largely a copy of 'update-grub' from the 'grub' package (not grub2). I intentionally left as much the same as I could get a way with. Because of that, the problem is even further complicated because when update-grub-legacy-ec2 runs (on kernel installation or dpkg-reconfigure), it will end up writing with UUID (which is its prefered mechanism). That behavior was generally OK to me, but can cause other issues (just as label does) like bug 671427. /dev/sda1 does seem like the simplest answer, but its not ideal for 2 reasons a.) /dev/sda1 is really not what the device should be named (we carry a patch to turn xen pv disk devices from xvdX to sdX) b.) on UEC (and on openstack) the root device is likely to be named /dev/vda1. This is not *really* a problem, as grub2 loads the kernels on UEC and pv-grub via update-grub-legacy-ec2's /boot/grub/menu.lst does so on ec2. Thanks for taking the time to report the bug. With Maverick, I seem to be able to access both sites with no issues, using firefox. In order to see if it's a problem with Ubuntu or FIrefox, please check if you can access these sites with either a different browser (Chrome for example) and/or with a different OS. Also please make sure your firewall does not block access to these sites. I am setting the status of this bug incomplete. Feel free to reopen it if you still experience it and the problem is unique with Firefox on Ubuntu.
