[Bug 191562] Re: provides libusb
Is this still valid? Are there any packages that depends on libusb? I think they have all been fixed to depend on libusb-0.1-4. Also, libusb-1.0 is not compatible with the 0.x versions so it can not provide their functionality. There is an upstream libusb-compat wrapper around 1.0 which gives 0.x compatibility but it is not included in Debian or Ubuntu (yet). ** Changed in: libusb (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: libusb-1.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191562 Title: provides libusb To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libusb/+bug/191562/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 388547] Re: Volume keys don't work inside a full-screen game
I confirm this bug. Really annoying. The solution should be as close to the hardware as possible, so no aplication have ability to lock it. For example , when I push volume up button in my laptop - information of pressing the key is processen in very deep level, and volume changes - no aplication, is informed about pressing any key at all. - informing apropriate system component about volume change, needed for example to notify-osd window about volume change. Example is very simple and maybe not very correct, but the point is: - processing such keys in deep level of system. This would solve bug #344978 as well, and help avoid other similar bugs . Basicly volume control buttons should work like ( or almost like ) completely analog hardware potentiometer connected directly to laptop speakers. In such configuration there is no problems and no place for bugs any at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388547 Title: Volume keys don't work inside a full-screen game To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/388547/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 836062] [NEW] [media/video] cx88xx HVR-1300, HVR-3000, HVR-4000 tveeprom: Huh, no eeprom present
Public bug reported: A long-standing bug still affecting kernel v3.1-rc3 (affects Ubuntu from Hardy through Oneiric) that occurs during boot where the Hauppauge cx88xx device fails to read the EEPROM using tveeprom_read(), which results in the Infra-Red receiver failing to be initialised, amongst other problems. A related fix for LP bug #439163 HVR-1300 HVR-3000 HVR-4000 broken in kernel submitted to the main-line kernel by Devin Heitmueller of Kernel Labs (commit: 2d196931 in v3.0) addresses a related issue (opening/closing of the tuner frontends in rapid succession causes channel scan failures) but doesn't solve this issue. The cause appears to be failure to correctly initialise the tuner's i2c bus, or gracefully handle errors from i2c_transfer(). I'm currently working with mainline kernels from Linus' tree with Mythbuntu 11.04 Natty to trace the issue and hopefully resolve it for an HVR-4000. If I can resolve it in main-line hopefully the patch can be backported to LTS releases. [Bug 709245] Re: ARM SMP scheduler performance bug
Hi Ming-Lei - What I like about your explanation is it allows cache status to be the communication path for network traffic to impact the issue, ie network activity finally spills the cache that does update the qtd descriptor and then we get less deadtime. That sounds very good to me. I'm using this tree http://git.linaro.org/gitweb?p=people/andygreen/kernel- tilt.git;a=patch;h=7021a2ea35d0b0f96e6c5a753312c26466919efd Your patch http://git.linaro.org/gitweb?p=people/andygreen/kernel- tilt.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/tilt-linux-linaro-3.0 I realized I do have a USB HDD here. [Bug 836062] Re: [media/video] cx88xx HVR-1300, HVR-3000, HVR-4000 tveeprom: Huh, no eeprom present
Does this problem occur 100% of the time at device boot? Or is it an intermittent issue? Also, are you sure this happens with the 1300, 3000, and 4000? I'm asking because I don't think the 1300's IR receiver is supported at all (it's a zilog as opposed to GPIO based IR). If this does indeed happen 100% of the time and isn't environmental, I can probably dig up a 4000 to stick in a box and take a look... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/836062 Title: [media/video] cx88xx HVR-1300,HVR-3000, HVR-4000 tveeprom: Huh, no eeprom present To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/836062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Yes, to clarify: Previous behaviour: alt-tab brings up window/application switcher. Current behaviour: window/application switcher is activated simply by pressing and holding alt. Bob, Thanks for reporting this. We have a few questions that can help us resolve the issue: 1. Does this occur when you start firefox with a new profile? Instructions for doing this can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs 2. When Firefox crashed, did a crash report dialogue appear, and did you send a crash report to Mozilla? 3. Can you please submit an Apport report? This can be done by opening Terminal and typing: apport-collect 835424 The report will be added to this bug automatically. [Bug 835699] Re: Unity window switcher takes over alt key
Cycling through windows has always been with Alt+Tab, so I see no reason why that should change. Btw. when pressing Alt not only the switcher shows up, but it shows up with a preview of a window. I don't know if this happens because of altered settings in ccsm, but it was working like it should with previous version(s) of unity, so I don't think that there's a problem with my settings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/835699 Title: Unity window switcher takes over alt key To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/835699/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. The problem you describe here does not appear to be a bug - you should be able to resolve your issues by following the instructions at: http://support.mozilla.com/en- US/kb/The%20page%20is%20not%20redirecting%20properly Because this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker.
