[Bug 1816294] [NEW] libldac packaging
Public bug reported: libldac is a library made by Sony BUT WITH A PERMISSIVE LICENSE (Apache 2.0) to support LDAC audio compression format, so I think there is no legal problems to package it. This guy made a dispatcher (https://github.com/EHfive/ldacBT) to support LDAC with Bluetooth devices. So would be nice to package together or not. The goal here is to have in the main repository, not as PPA, the components to this project: https://github.com/EHfive/pulseaudio-modules-bt The libldac is the most controversy part, but Fedora Legal thinks it's OK to package. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: needs-packaging -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1816294 Title: libldac packaging To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1816294/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Ubuntu-BR] OFF: Backup na nuvem
Re: RFC: Ubuntu Seeded Snaps
IMHO, Snap Store is more like an app store (like Google Play Store), than a regular package repository (archive.ubuntu.com, a PPA or a third party repository). I think some ground rules and some policies are necessary, but we must avoid burocracy and give freedom to developer, so he/she can create what he wants. So things like licensing should weaker enforced. The idea is: think as an app store, not a package repository. [Bug 1734486] [NEW] Install .deb packages using 'apt' tool
Public bug reported: 'apt' is a easy-to-use wrapper around some 'apt-get' and also 'apt-cache' functions. The idea here is make 'apt' a even more useful tool allowing installation of .deb packages directly, creating a wrap[per around 'dpkg' command as well, allowing a command like this possible: $ sudo apt install mylovedpackage.deb ** Affects: apt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1734486 Title: Install .deb packages using 'apt' tool To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1734486/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1734484] [NEW] Enable cache using solid-state drive during installation
Public bug reported: There's some nice tools to enable a faster SSD drive as cache for slower HDD drives, tools like bcache, flashcache or dm-cache.
