This problem also manifested itself coming out of hibernation. GNOME/pm- utils upstream believes that it was a driver issue that caused the glitch. [Bug 576562] Re: Ubuntu 10.04 does not successfully hibernate on Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934
Freshly installed Lucid, fully updated, (ex. updating to the newest versions of pm-utils and gnome-panel) and made an fsarchived backup of the install. [Bug 476508] Re: HP Printer Deskjet F4100 series not working after updating from 9.04 to 9.10
I have an HP Officejet 5610v USB connected to a Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934 with Ubuntu 9.10 and I also have the same problem. I try to power cycle the printer, disconnect then reconnect the USB cable, and click System - Administration - Printing - right click the printer icon and check Enabled. [Bug 590947] Re: ubiquity crashed with InstallStepError in configure_plugins() in Ubuntu 10.04 VM in VirtualBox 3.2.4, Ubuntu 9.10 Host
A new version of VirtualBox (3.2.6) has been released, with a work around for Linux hosts with the ext4 filesystem, which is most likely the cause of this bug. Alex, thank you for addressing this bug. The solution is certainly upgrade to a newer version of sensors-applet. [Bug 575166] Re: Cannot stream Netroadshow content despite having appropriate media content in Ubuntu 10.04
It appears that this problem may not be a bug in Adobe Flash Player, but with how my Windows Media Player or Real Player equivalent application presents itself to the website and vice versa. The reason is because of the following test: I used Windows XP, I did not have Real Player installed, uninstalled Windows Media Player components, disabled Windows Media Player ActiveX components in IE, installed the newest Adobe Flash Player, and navigated to the page. I got the same error prompt, but when I looked at IE - Tools - Manage Add-Ons, the Shockwave Flash Object was loaded into IE and enabled. -- Cannot stream Netroadshow content despite having appropriate media content in Ubuntu 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575166 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 576562] Re: Ubuntu 10.04 does not successfully hibernate on Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934
Downgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 w/ ext4, suspend and hibernate works perfectly. Current solution to this bug is to use Ubuntu 9.10. ** Changed in: pm-utils (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- Ubuntu 10.04 does not successfully hibernate on Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576562 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 490182] Re: OCRAD Problem: tifftopnm: don't know how to handle PHOTOMETRIC_YCBCR, Ubuntu 9.10, XSane 0.996, hplip-gui 3.9.8-1ubuntu2, HP 5610v All-In-One Printer
I am not technically equipped to troubleshoot this bug, and from upstream's E-Mail response, it is more a user unfamiliarity with esoteric dependencies, not a bug. Seems more of a wishlist to further streamline ocrad for commonly desired functionality and ease of use. ** Changed in: ocrad (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- OCRAD Problem: tifftopnm: don't know how to handle PHOTOMETRIC_YCBCR, Ubuntu 9.10, XSane 0.996, hplip-gui 3.9.8-1ubuntu2, HP 5610v All-In-One Printer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/490182 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 411085] Re: Sunbird will not uninstall via Add/Remove Applications
This bug was a user error, not a program error. I deleted the Vista created calendar long ago. This bug is considered closed. ** Changed in: gnome-app-install (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- Sunbird will not uninstall via Add/Remove Applications https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/411085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 576562] [NEW] Ubuntu 10.04 does not successfully hibernate on Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pm-utils 1) lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release:10.04 2) apt-cache policy pm-utils pm-utils: Installed: 1.3.0-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.3.0-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.3.0-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status apt-cache policy acpi-support acpi-support: Installed: 0.136 Candidate: 0.136 Version table: *** 0.136 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) What I expected to happen on my Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934 laptop, is after a fresh Ubuntu 10.04 install and updating, I could successfully hibernate, just as I could in Ubuntu 9.10 4) What happened instead is that when I choose hibernate, it seems to attempt to hibernate, then the computer shuts down. When I press the power button to come back from the hibernation, the login splash screen comes up instead of the anticipated Locked splash screen. When I log in as the same user as I had when I hibernated, it's a fresh desktop. As well, I noticed that NetworkManager Applet GUI icon in the top left notes it is disabled and I did not disable this before I hibernated.
