[Bug 854946] [NEW] Rampart's configuration on Ubuntu's package doesn't define a default ClockSkewBuffer
Public bug reported: In both EucalyptusNC/services.xml and EucalyptusCC/services.xml there's no ClockSkewBuffer (nor TimeToLive nor PrecisionInMilliseconds), therefore messages from the future (from the webservice's point of view) won't be accepted, even if the difference in time is minimal. [Bug 854899] Re: Update to puppet-2.7.3
Main package, bumping from 2.7.1 to 2.7.3. The upstream changelog is pretty vast, and it's not clear to me that they are all bug fixes. Please could you provide some further analysis and expand on the reasoning for upstream wanting this included? This also requires some testing before it can be approved. [Bug 854899] Re: Update to puppet-2.7.3
Upstream reasoning for this update: 2.7.1 is the first bug fix iteration from the 2.7.x branch, this doesn't include all the security fixes that happened in 2.6.x after the branch freeze for 2.7.x. They strongly believe that 2.7.3 is a stable release whereas 2.7.1 is an early release in the branch and hence not desired for long term production environments, which would happen if it was included in Oneiric. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to puppet in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/854899 Title: Update to puppet-2.7.3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/puppet/+bug/854899/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 854899] Re: Update to puppet-2.7.3
Further justification from upstream for upgrade to 2.7.3: Upstream considers 2.7.1 as an _early_ release and as such it is buggy, there's two very important bugs (#6789 and #6857) that is CRITICAL and as such upstream wouldn't want it to be in any stable release. Re: ServerGuide reviewers needed
Dear serverguide reviewers, September is over soon. Time to check where we are standing with the reviews. Looking at http://pad.ubuntu.com/serverguide it looks good that all chapters are covered by someone. But we all should check/update the status of the reviews there now again. Re: booting oneiric in xen hvm domU
On 19.09.2011 21:17, Mark Dokter wrote: Hello! I tried to install an Ubuntu Oneiric xen domU with the beta1 iso, daily iso and netboot (also daily and beta1). All images require xen_emul_unplug=unnecessary as kernel boot parameter to see disks and network devices in the domU. Can anybody confirm this behaviour? I was wondering because on [1] it is a line that says [zulcss] Test xen hvm CD install on amd64: DONE My testing was done on a oneiric 64bit dom0. kind regards, Mark [1] https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/server-o-xen-host That sort of is normal and depends on the guest. Except the virtual kernel, all other kernels have the blockfront and netfront drivers only compiled as a module. If one wants to use them, then those need to go into the list of early loaded modules. Or as with the argument, xen gets told to keep the emulated disk and network devices. But it would be worth documenting this at least in the release notes, I guess. Note, that emulated net seems still have some issues under load the last time I looked. -Stefan -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
