What I'd recommend, though, is to file a bug against libreoffice, requesting the addition of the Icelandic translation package, as it seems to be missing. I am also looking for a DVD build, which has all the language related packs preconfigured. Help with indicator-datetime translation bug
Hi all, I'd like to ask for your help in testing the translation of indicator-datetime. The Catalan translation seems affected by this bug, even if it's marked as Fix Released: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-datetime/+bug/729631 But others, such as French, seem not to be. Could you tell me if in your language the date indicator appears translated when showing the day of the week and the day and month? I'm not sure if it's a genuine bug or if there is a translation missing somewhere, so any help is appreciated! Thanks. Not directly related to the main question, but that's the normal practice, as unfortunately we do not have enough space on the CD to include all languages. We just don't want to have teams just for the sake of it, where there could be collaboration instead. There are other teams in similar situations, as the British or Australian English one, or the Portuguese and Brazilian team, which are justified either by the differences or by a strong popular support. On the other hand, the Spanish team have managed to standardize to one team serving all countries, despite of the country-specific variants. I for one would suggest that you go down the same route as the Spanish team, but I'd be also happy to continue the discussion and hear why you think there should be an Austrian German team. It says Mar 5 de Abr for today (Tuesday, April 5th). However, I think it should be better using lowercase words, i.e. mar 5 de abr, because the days of the week and the months of the year are always in lowercase in Spanish. Aside from that, it's OK. With the normal-translator-hat-on, looking at the statistics, looks like more or less than 20 language are already done with that translation, and it would be nice to apply the patch, and unfuzzy the fuzzy strings that would result from that. But this involves some manual work and some work offline (that Launchpad I think cannot handle). So, for me is: go for it as fast as you can. Non-langpack deadline is in 9 days. :-) Ciao.
