everything seems to be working pretty good now. i've reinstalled
everything and switched between the 2 SSIDs and everything works far
better than it used to. Not sure what I did but whatever it was, I'm
super thankful that it's working great! I appreciate you waking up my
mind to this. It helped me a lot.

You may want to look at the router setup to see if you can split the

yes, you're correct. And honestly, I knew that already and I don't know
why I didn't think of that before. I can log into that other SSID and
use it but I haven't tried it yet. Been away from my laptop for other
matters.

But right now, ac is working decently but I'm going to change over to
the other SSID for a baseline test and maybe get a better idea of what's
going on.

There will be some more things in San Diego in the coming months as I

Welcome!

Hi,

Thanks for the offer. As I say, sometimes transportation can be an issue
for me. I have a weird schedule, so I'm usually not really up to doing much
during normal day hours. However, I wouldn't mind meeting local people some
time in the future when schedules can come together. I have my own health
issues, so I don't always have a lot of energy. What I'm getting at is that
I can't really predict what's a good time for me to meet because of various
factors. If something becomes more definite with my schedule and other
things, I'll certainly post here. Thank you very much for the offer and
I'll certainly keep it in mind.

It's very refreshing to find a nice, welcoming community. Every list has at
least one troll, but I seem to have found their hideout in the last group.
It wasn't related to Linux.

The LoCo actually came and gave a presentation about Ubuntu last summer
and handed out Ubuntu CDs. They were a very pleasant group and I should
really get back there some time.

I never liked the BlackBerry IRC client because it tended to disconnect
on me. In any case, the next meeting's this Sunday at 7pm on
irc.ubuntu.com in #ubuntu-california and you'll get a reminder email.
You can also follow @ubuntu_us_ca on Twitter or @ubuntucalifornia on
Identica to get a reminder on the day of the meeting.

I hope to see you in the meeting this weekend. :)

Hello Grant

Thanks for the info and the welcome.

In the Pre-Linux days I went to NOCCC for awhile. Noticed there are many Linux
Sigs now.

Found an IRC client for my 'Berry and after reading the manual I should be
able to participate in the Sunday meetings. This Sunday or next?

Sincerely,

Frank Harris-Smith
from my Verizon BlackBerry 8703

Hello Frank,

Welcome to the mail list. I hope you are able to get an IRC client
running sometime and join us for our meetings every other Sunday night
at 7 PM. I see from your blog you are in Anaheim. Have you visited
any user groups near by yet? Some are listed here.
