Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1244552] Re: After startup or suspend polish diactric letters are not working

2014-01-06 Thread Adam Wróbel
It is exactly the same as reported in this thread.
http://askubuntu.com/questions/362973/keyboard-layout-switches-to-english-each-time-i-reboot

And workaround posted by one user worked
but it is not a true solution it is ersac. A kind of McGyver solution like
using paperclip and chewing-gum.

That workaround is that:
Change settings in Text Entry from Use the same source for all windows
to these: Allow different sources for each window + New windows use
default source

Adam Wróbel, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
 /daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

 apport-collect -p xorg REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thanks for that. I have reflashed the bios to version 1.6 release date
07/11/2013 and will wait to see if the problem is fixed. As the problem
is spasmodic, I will wait a week or so before saying that it is no
longer there.

Scott David Morse, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
 release of Ubuntu?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1231405] Re: Graphics issue

2014-01-06 Thread Gopinath
I am using lenovo G570 laptop.
I have searched in internet and also checked with the lenovo's official website.
I couldn't find any drivers specific from their website either which could fix
the issue.
Please let me know how to fix the issue.
Its been said that there is no support for ubuntu in Lenovo systems... is that
true ?
Is there no solution to fix the issue ?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1265283] Re: Doesn't work on i5-4670 but works for i7-4770

2014-01-06 Thread niknah
You can close this one.

Not sure what happened before.
But I've updated to the latest drivers.
Removed the old drivers of other video cards that I was trying out.

And now it works!

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 632716] Re: Xorg crashes when chating on IRC

2014-01-06 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Adnane Belmadiaf, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given you already have done this in a prior release,
performing this on a release prior to Trusty would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1265065] Re: Desktop freeze while drag-maximizing window

2014-01-06 Thread Rüdiger Kupper
I confirm this problem on the following system:
- Thinkpad T61
- NVidia Quadro NVS 140M/PCIe/SSE2
- proprietary drivers 'nvidia-319-updates'
- up-to-date BIOS

It seems to have appeared in saucy, I cannot remember this happening in raring.
The impact is severe, since there is no way of recovery besides killing the
session (or restart lightdm).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1266466] [NEW] [upgrade software version] 173.14.39 released on 6/12/13 [Precise]

2014-01-06 Thread Flames_in_Paradise
Public bug reported:

Upgrade happend already in Trusty

Changes were:

*Added support for X.org xserver ABI 15 (xorg-server 1.15).
*   Updated nvidia-installer to consider the libglamoregl.so X loadable
extension module to be in conflict with the NVIDIA OpenGL driver. This module
can cause the NVIDIA libGL to be loaded into the same process (the X server) as
the NVIDIA libglx.so extension module, which is not a supported use case.

Christopher, this is no longer an issue since at least Ubuntu 12.10. I
can't believe it hadn't been closed yet. Thanks for your effort.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 632759] Re: NumLock LED wrong status during User selection screen

2014-01-06 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
igi, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given you already have done this in a prior release,
performing this on a release prior to Trusty would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I'm extending my laptop monitor with a native resolution of 1366×768
with an external display with a native resolution of 1280×1024. This
situation is poorly handled.

Here's a representation of my setup, which I mirrored in the Monitor

The ░ area should not be eligible for mouse placement and desktop icon
placement, but it is in Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04 under GNOME (including
Unity). Other desktop systems may also be affected but I didn't try them
all.
