Except for some troubles with Flash in Firefox, that made me force close the browser, the freezes never happended again! So, what does your unique, and very short sentence means? Is there a better specific answer to my problem that you can provide? Do you need more data? What should I do to solve the problem, when using tha mainline 3.14.1 Ubuntu Kernel? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1307236] Re: NVidia Issues - blurry text after upgrading from 13.10 to 14.04
@Alberto - I understand that you do not support the NVidia installer. I mentioned it as a workaround as that is what I needed to get my system working again without the blur and I needed to go back to being productive. I was thinking with Bill's information with the blur and mine without that something might emerge as the cause - it seemed to be focus related. Do you have a recommended package think would be best to install nvidia-prime or another? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1309803] [NEW] Oscillating speed (of key repeat, animations, etc) after upgrade to 14.04
Public bug reported: After my upgrade to 14.04, I rebooted and logged in again. I noticed that several aspects, including key repeating, seemed to accelerate in their speed over a short period of time, and then at the peak of speed (such that, for example, the quickest key press I could manage would nonetheless print at least 15 of the key, and the page loading animation in Chrome tabs was spinning quicker than the eye could distinguish) it would suddenly drop back down to what appears to be the base set rate. I switched to VT1 and saw this happen there too, so it wasn't merely confined to KDE or even X11. Upon rebooting again, the problem had vanished.
