[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1571589] [NEW] Can't map wacom tablet to DVI-D-0

2016-04-18 Thread Luke picciau
Public bug reported:

When trying to map my wacom tablet to my main screen (DVI-D-0) using the
GUI the setting just stays on HDMI-0. Not mapping to a monitor lets me
use the tablet on my main screen but then I am limited to half of the
tablet.

I have tried to map the tablet using "xsetwacom set 14 MapToOutput
HEAD-0" and "xsetwacom set 14 MapToOutput HEAD-1" however both of these
have no affect and the tablet is still mapped to HDMI-0.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 206924] Re: Make it possible to create a guest account

2016-04-18 Thread Hans
Just for the record:

If you have guest accounts enabled on a mobile device, one may steal the
device, and then log in as guest without rebooting. This someone will
then have plenty of time digging for other exploids of software on the
stolen device.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1533675] [NEW] ssh X11 forwarding has screen issue with Java applications

2016-04-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Hi,
I've an issue with ssh X11 forwarding while launching Java applications, it's a
critical issue because I'm working with my laptop(with Ubuntu 15.10) for a
customer and is impossible to dispatch all the requests.
This is what I do step by step:
1- ssh -X user@customerserver
2- xclok <- it works well
3- /export/appl-data/oracle/jdk1.7.0_45/bin/java -d64 -jar weblogic.jar
4- The X Java application starts but the fonts are "invisible" s you can see in
the screenshot in attach.

I don't think is a server issue but an Ubuntu issue because it works
fine from fedora and windows 7 with Xming

The server Java version is this:
/export/appl-data/oracle/jdk1.7.0_45/bin/java -version
java version "1.7.0_45"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_45-b18)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.45-b08, mixed mode)

The server os is this:
[user@customerserver bin]$ uname -a
Linux customerserver 2.6.39-400.214.5.1.el6uek.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri May 30
16:43:43 PDT 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The server env is this:
[user@customerserver bin]$ env
HOSTNAME=customerserver
TERM=xterm-256color
SHELL=/bin/bash
HISTSIZE=1000
SSH_CLIENT=10.173.150.18 34230 22

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1566759] Re: Full system lockup after attaching external monitor

2016-04-18 Thread knz
The issue persists with kernel 4.6-rc4.

However it disappears (fixed?) with the intel nightly drivers as of
April 16th 2016 (from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-
intel-nightly/2016-04-16-wily/ ).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1549455] Re: Unity 8 doesn't load on Intel Pineview graphics [qtubuntu: ASSERT: "eglDestroyContext(mEglDisplay, mEglContext) == EGL_TRUE"]

2016-04-18 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Slower, yes. But they shouldn't be unusable.

Given Pineview probably works in Unity7 now, and old Intel Atoms
definitely work in Unity7 now, we have very little excuse to not ensure
Unity8 eventually works on them. To some degree.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1549455] Re: Unity 8 doesn't load on Intel Pineview graphics [qtubuntu: ASSERT: "eglDestroyContext(mEglDisplay, mEglContext) == EGL_TRUE"]

2016-04-18 Thread Andreas Pokorny
This bug cannot be fixed in mir or qtubuntu - applications like unity8
and the applications using qtdeclarative will be slow within x11 and
mir. A backend for fixed function gpus, i.e using only GL1.5 would be
required to fix that..

** Also affects: qtdeclarative (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New
