[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 781983] Re: Screen becomes corrupted under normal usage
I've noticed this also on my system (Ubuntu Natty, running Ubuntu Classic no effects without Compiz). I have a Dell 1420 laptop with an Intel video 'card' (Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller according to Hardinfo). I notice it in the classic Gnome panels a lot, where parts of the panels became darkened. I have attached some screenshots showing different instances of it happening (the corruption is the dark parts; the missing white parts are editing on my part). ** Attachment added: Screenshot-top-panel-corruption.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/781983/+attachment/2130473/+files/Screenshot-top-panel-corruption.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/781983 Title: Screen becomes corrupted under normal usage ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Here's another screenshot (not sure how to add more than one at a time) ** Attachment added: Screenshot-top-and-bottom-panel-corruption.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/781983/+attachment/2130476/+files/Screenshot-top-and-bottom-panel-corruption.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/781983 Title: Screen becomes corrupted under normal usage ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 600293] Re: font corruption on intel g41
This has happened to me twice today. Both times it seemed to start while in Firefox, but switching to other programs or closing them just seemed to 'spread' the corruption to the entire desktop. Tried closing and restarting apps, going into Gnome Appearance and changing fonts, switching to Virtual Terminal and back; only fix was to restart X or computer. This is on a Dell Inspiron 1420, with Intel video, running Ubuntu 10.04, with all updates. ** Attachment added: Screenshot-corrupt-fonts-1.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/600293/+attachment/1641704/+files/Screenshot-corrupt-fonts-1.png -- font corruption on intel g41 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
