[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 761718] [NEW] Can't start Ubuntu default session properly
Public bug reported: Installing the nvidia-current package doesn't allow to start the Ubuntu default session properly. The gnome main bar crashes after some seconds and even unity doesn't start completely freezing all the session. This forces to restart gdm. I'm not completely sure this is related to the nvidia-graphics-drivers source package. With the nouveau open source nvidia drivers all works properly. Yes, I'm referring to the gnome desktop. To be precise, all the session freezes and gdm has to be restarted. I can't run the classic Ubuntu desktop (with effects). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 677129] Re: Please merge xterm 266-1 (main) from debian unstable (main)
Hello Michael, 1. xterm-266/debian/gbp.conf is modified but that is not documented in the changelog Seems this change was applied but never documented in the changelog 2. The debian/changelog file also mentions: Remove setgid bit from the xterm binary (LP: #616100) but I can not find in the debdiff where that is done. (the original debdiff is here for this bug is here: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/53489120/xterm_261-1ubuntu3.debdiff) I can't find this change neither, I looked at the debdiff of the last merge.
