[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2035192] [NEW] One of 2 screens appears fussy with leftover startup info.

2023-09-12 Thread Richard Lewis
Public bug reported:

On startup the left of my two screens (DP1.2 connected) appears fussy,
although not unreadable the font is not distinct. Furthermore, the
computer start up logo - in this case "intel nuc" remains in the middle
of the left screen. It always seems to be one screen that goes "off
focus" and usually the left which is the screen connected to the
computer while the other one is daisy chained off it. It only occurs
occasionally.

I experienced this as well.

Had to revert to previous kernel (5.4.0-59) to get nvidia-grpahics-
drivers-390 installed on my system.

The nouveau drivers were not a viable option, computer kept freezing,
forcing hard resets.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1891684] Re: [amdgpu] Screen flickers after resuming from suspend

2020-09-28 Thread Richard Elkins
This could very well be an issue with the amdgpu kernel module or the
kernel itself. 20.04 uses kernel 5.4 I fixed my situation (similar) by
upgrading to 20.10 (beta) which uses 5.8 packages. Now, my power
management and suspend/resume actually work.

My laptop (different than the nitro): Acer Aspire 5 4700U octacore APU
with built-in graphics.

Good luck.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1878355] [NEW] TV monitor shows login information, not selected displays

2020-05-13 Thread Richard Larsson
Public bug reported:

My setup: office with two screens and a long cable to a TV screen in the
next room. The TV screen is off.

Error: Upon starting ubuntu, GDM shows only blank screens. When the TV
is unplugged, I can see the GDM login screen. Moving mouse pointer to
one of the screens in my office does when the TV screen is plugged in
does not reveal the login screen.

Expected behavior: To see the login prompt. Either duplicated on all
screens, or on the screen the mouse points at.

First try at a solution: Remove TV screen, see login screen, login, plug
in TV screen, select screen layout in the settings manager so one of the
office screens is main. Outcome: does nothing.

Current solution: Copy setting's monitor.xml to replace GDM's
monitor.xml. This now works for me so I do not want to play with this
anymore, but I suspect it will fail again at some point since this
manual copy-pasting of files is just weird.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1849084] Re: Freeze on system-resume caused by kwin and amdgpu driver

Yes, that's correct. This the reason why Kwin's opengl compositor +
suspend-resume combination causes it. What I wrote is just a
workaround/trick to disable opengl compositor on resume.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1849084] Re: Freeze on system-resume caused by kwin and amdgpu driver

2020-05-02 Thread Richard Baka
Hi khitschler,

I have the default Ubuntu 20.04 kernel and the freeze still occurs. My
assumption about the correct behavior was wrong however I think I have
just found a workaround could somebody you/somebody test it?

Apr '19
Here’s my latest version of a service to restart KDE Plasma after suspending,
This version seems to work very well and unlike my last version this does not
depend on crashing plasma so it doesn’t throw an error when executed.

Plasma Restart Service

With a root text editor create:

/etc/systemd/system/plasma-restart@.service
Service file contents:

#/etc/systemd/system/plasma-restart@.service
#sudo systemctl enable plasma-restart@$USER.service
#sudo systemctl start plasma-restart@$USER.service
#sudo systemctl stop plasma-restart@$USER.service
#sudo systemctl disable plasma-restart@$USER.service

[Unit]
Description=Plasma Restart Service
After=suspend.target
StopWhenUnneeded=yes

[Service]
User=%i
WorkingDirectory=/home/%i
Type=oneshot
Slice=user-%i.slice
RemainAfterExit=yes
ExecStart=/bin/bash -alc "sudo -Hiu %i pkill -ABRT plasmashell"

[Install]
WantedBy=suspend.target
Alias=plasma-restart@%i.service

Save the service file with root permissions, and exit the text editor.

Then, enable the service:

sudo systemctl enable plasma-restart@$USER.service
Then restart.

-

Why this is not the default setting if it fixes even the NVIDIA
problems?

2019-12-23 Thread RIchard Blakie
This has been tested with live ubuntu 19.10 as suggested by Daniel and
the mouse problem persists for intel braswell. xdotool reveals that X
reports a vertical position of zero, even when the mouse is painted with
an offset to the right, which seems to indicate this is could be a
compositor problem, a mouse driver problem (not providing proper
movement info to the left), or a 915 driver problem

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1849084] [NEW] Freeze on system-resume caused by kwin and amdgpu driver

2019-10-21 Thread Richard Baka
Public bug reported:

This is a well investigated bug by me.

Problem: a black screen freeze occurs by suspend-resume process
Ubuntu version: Kubuntu 19.10 default plasma, or the backported 5.17
Kernel version: default 5.3.10 or the mainline 5.4.0rc3
xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu: 19.* or the newest from git, the 18.0.1-1 works well

This freeze can be reproduced only if opengl 2.0 or 3.1 compositor is
enabled in Plasma settings. Xrender is OK however I don't like screen
tearing.

On Ubuntu 19.10 Gnome desktop (X based) this doesn't occur even if the
Gnome's compositor is enabled. (I don't know what is the default one
there but I haven't disabled it)

I think this is a Kwin / amdgpu driver related bug because of the
differentiation. These can be fixed even in Kwin/opengl compositor not
just in the amdgpu driver or in kernel.

One possible solution: disable opengl compositor by suspend and re-
enable it after login. Use fe.: Xrender before login / before the system
restored from suspend.

For Ubuntu's maintainers: Couldn't be this problem solved by a
downstream solution? Maybe a proper script could be enough by resume and
by suspend. There are a lot of bugs like this reported in freedesktop
bugreport and the developers haven't got enough time for fix them fast
enough.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1842954] Re: AMD GPU hang/crash/black screen after suspend(ing)

2019-09-06 Thread Richard Baka
** Description changed:

This is a freeze which is obviously caused by a bug in the xserver-xorg-
video-amdgpu package ver: 19.0.1* which is shipped with Ubuntu 19.04 and
  19.10. Upstream fix is needed.

  Workaround:
- sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list, copy-paste one line which contains "main
multiverse universe restricted" and change the distribution name "eon" or
"disco" to "bionic" (for this line only)
+ sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list, copy-paste one line which contains "main
multiverse universe restricted" and change the distribution name "eoan" or
"disco" to "bionic" (for this line only)
So you will have a line like
deb [url] bionic multiverse main restricted universe
  ctrl+o, save it

  sudo update
  sudo apt install xserver-xorg-core=2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4
  sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu=18.0.1-1

  sudo reboot

If everything is OK then you should keep these packages by using:
  sudo apt-mark hold xserver-xorg-core=2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4
  sudo apt-mark hold xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu=18.0.1-1

You can later unhold them by using the same commands with "unhold"

If a newer bionic package version comes out (fe. a security update) you
should unhold the packages do an apt update and use apt policy [package
name without = and version] to check the new bionic versions that you
can install using my original install commands with the proper version
  paramter.

If something is not OK, then press E on grub menu, paste nomodeset
parameter at the and of the kernel line then f10. After the kernel
loading and the command line login you should just do an apt upgrade if
you hadn't held the packages before.

Public bug reported:

Problem started after last upgrade. Usually happens when I attempt to
end the screen saver and start processing again. I see a solid screen
with icon bar on the left and the power off button on the upper right
but nothing else. The mouse still appears and works but nothing happens
on the screen if I click on an application on the left. The power off
button works and shuts down the PC. when I reboot everything picks up
where I left off.

2018-06-15 Thread Richard Baka
Power management doesn't work well this way. It was hot a little. I've
changed back to win10. This should be fixed by kernel developers or with
a downstream patch.

I installed the new amdgpu pro driver and everything is very fast now.
This bug should be reported to freedesktop, would you like somebody to
do it? :D

It works but very slow. This could be an ACPI problem.

2018-05-05 Thread Richard Schneider
Thank you Dave,

I did get it working by some sort of magic that I cant quite explain. It
works and I'm happy.

Thank you for the suggestion though.

Best regards,

Rich S.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1754072] Re: Very poor performance with xserver-xorg-video-nouveau live bionic beta-1 session

2018-03-09 Thread Richard Elkins
** Description changed:

- QA suspend test:
- * Needed 10 minutes to get to unlock prompt.
- * After unlocking, 2 minutes passed before desktop was visible.
+ Observations from using the Xubuntu bionic beta-1 (2018-03-06)
+ installation image on a USB stick.

- I use the nouveau driver under 16.04 on the same machine and suspend-
- return performance can be measured in seconds. Of course, that is a
- native build, not a live session.
+ 1) Sometimes during a boot from the USB stick, the video (Nvidea) is
+ detected correctly and very quickly the expected first 2 screens appear
+ (Language, Install/Try menu). While this happens and on into the
+ installation or live session, performance is acceptable.
+
+ 2) Sometimes during a boot from the USB stick, the video is not detected
+ correctly and an alternate screen set is presented. While this happens
+ and on into the installation or live session, performance is extremely
+ slow.
+
+ Whether you get one or the other seems to be a matter of luck. Both
+ cases are eventually reproducible.

I think that the slowness and the alternate screen sequence is related.

This was a Live Session without VM.

The OEM screen report (#1754150) and this one are probably related.

Sometimes when I boot that machine with the installation USB stick, the
video hardware is detected correctly and I see your mp4 sequence of
screens.

Other times when I boot the same machine with the same installation USB
stick, I see what I reported on #1754150.

I tried the first ppa above and this worked for me. Screen handling is
now stable, so thanks.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1458220] Re: [master] system keyboard layout not honored

2017-03-01 Thread Richard Stevens
Not sure if it helps but since I have created this bug quite some time
ago I have discovered a few things. For me at least the bug seems to be
somehow connected to Logitech wireless keyboards. If I boot my system
with a wired Cherry keyboard, the keyboard configuration is honored and
everything works as expected. If I connect the logitech wireless
keyboard, it's not. This is reproducible. My Logitech Keyboard is a K520
with a Unifying receiver.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1666084] [NEW] external monitor not supported on 16.10

2017-02-19 Thread Richard Pickett
Public bug reported:

Lenovo w530 w/ Nvidia GK107GLM [Quadro K2000M]

Nouveau finds the VGA monitor and everything works *but* the monitor is
laggy. Seems that's a known issue.

So I install the nvidia driver (add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-
drivers/ppa; apt-get update; apt-get install nvidia-378), but when the
laptop reboots I don't have the second monitor. It doesn't show up in
nvidia-setup.

I've gone back as far as nvidia-304 (yes, one at a time, yes rebuilding
ramdisk and full rebooting, and yes it's slow and painful), but none of
them give me the plugged in monitor.

I'm happy if you want to walk me through get/patch/compile to do
testing. I'd just like (a) a non-laggy experience on the second monitor.

Thanks!

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1650629] Re: GNOME shell records characters out of order

2017-01-15 Thread Richard
According to the GNOME project, this is fixed by Xserver 1.19

X .Org Server 1.19 was released on 2016-11-15
1.19.1 was released on 2017-01-11

Can we have the latest version compiled for Ubuntu so it can be tested if this

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1641355] Re: libreoffice impress gradients do not work in slide show mode

Hi Christopher As stated in my last post I'm currently using Lubunutu 16.04.1

Everything works fine, and indeed all versions of Libreoffice work fine
with Ubuntu 16.04 The problem presents itself when upgrading to Lubuntu
16.10. Unfortunately as I need my computer for work, and I regularly
use Libreoffice impress so I can't upgrade to 16.10 to test. Regards

2016-11-21 Thread Richard Pinnell
Hi Christopher okay I've done as you suggested, and no problem gradients work
fine. I think the problem could be to do with the intel graphics firmware, as
when I was on 16:10 there was some message about intel firmware (don't recall
exactly). I tried to sort that out, but I couldn't get the drivers. Regards

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1641355] [NEW] libreoffice impress gradients do not work in slide show mode

2016-11-12 Thread Richard Pinnell
Public bug reported:

When using libreoffice gradients show up fine in edit mode, but not in the
slide show. I have tried downgrading to libreoffice 5.1 using the debs on the
libreoffice official website but to no avail. Sometimes the gradients show up
but distorted on other occasiones the colours do not show at all. This
problem started when I upgraded from Lubuntu 16.04 to 16.10. As I use Impress
a lot I'm currently downgrading back to 16.04. Screen shows edit mode. Looks
like I can only attach one file I'll attach the sideshow mode screen shot to
another message.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1576163] Re: Libreoffice crashes when opening a dialog

2016-08-11 Thread Richard King
I experience this issue with Ubuntu 16.04 on an Asus UX303LN laptop. The
temporary fix of installing xserver-xorg-video-intel seems to work for
me too.

I can provide log-files or test fixes if that would help us resolve the
problem.

Is bug #1575301 a duplicate of this one?

I don't feel that repeated comments saying "I am seeing this bug too"
are adding much at this point.

Unless you have more concrete contributions to make (which might be
better added to the upstream bug
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94677), just click on the
'Yes, it affects me' link at the top of the page.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1572667] Re: Screen flickering sometimes on xenial rc

2016-05-02 Thread Richard Blum
I think I'm getting similar behavior to this bug, but I'm using LXDE,
not GNOME. Occasionally, when I resume my laptop (Acer Aspire V5) from
suspend, the graphics flicker from the mouse cursor to the bottom of the
screen. Switching to the console and back (CTRL-ALT-F1, then CTRL-
ATL-F7) makes the flicker go away. I never had this problem before
upgrading from 14.04 to 16.04.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1559597] Re: [HP Pavilion dv3-1075us Laptop] Invisible cursor after resume from suspend in Xubuntu 14.04.04

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Elkins
You want me to upgrade from 14.04.04 to 16.04? That I cannot do at the
moment because I am in the middle of a development project that needs a
stable Intel/AMD workstation which has lsb packages. Using the lsb API
was not my idea (long story) and I warned my partner that lsb would be
gone in Ubuntu in 16.04.

I could 16.04 in about 4 weeks when my project is live/stable and I have
time to assemble another desktop from a Biostar/AMD motherboard.

Sorry if that's inconvenient. I don't think that the HP laptop hardware
is a factor. This is probably an anomaly on any laptop hardware in
14.04.04 (E.g. the Thinkpad bug report).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1297144] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad X230] Invisible cursor after resume from suspend

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Elkins
Hopefully, xorg or xfce4 folks won't complain about a "duplicate report"
[(-:]. I did file a separate report referencing my laptop hardware
against xorg. Time will tell if it is xorg or xfce.

I am tempted to try to reproduce this anomaly with a completely
different 14.04.04 desktop (E.g. KDE) on the same hardware and see if
the same symptoms occur. If so, then you are probably correct to
suspect xorg (2 desktops, same xorg); else, it is probably an xfce
issue. The practical problem with doing this is that the setup takes a
lot of time and there could be other reasons why the issue is not
reproducible under KDE.

~~

In case anyone reading this report might benefit, this is a fast manual
work-around that works for my with an HP laptop:

1. Resume from a long-term suspend. Note the disappeared mouse cursor.
2. Ctrl-Alt-F1 ===> getty
3. Ctrl-Alt-F7 ===> back to desktop

The mouse cursor is, hopefully, restored after step 3.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1559597] Re: [HP Pavilion dv3-1075us Laptop] Invisible cursor after resume from suspend in Xubuntu 14.04.04

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Elkins
I just discovered a much better work-around than logout-login:

1. Resume from a long-term suspend. Note the disappeared mouse cursor.
2. Ctrl-Alt-F1 ===> getty
3. Ctrl-Alt-F7 ===> back to desktop

My mouse cursor is restored after step 3.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1559597] [NEW] [HP Pavilion dv3-1075us Laptop] Invisible cursor after resume from suspend in Xubuntu 14.04.04

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Elkins
Public bug reported:

When I suspend for a long period of time (E.g. overnight), the mouse is
still functional upon resume but the cursor has disappeared. Resuming
after suspending for only a short period of time (E.g. 10 seconds) does
not yield this symptom. The disappearing mouse cursor symptom appears
whether or not light-locker is enabled.

Work-around that succeeds: Logout followed by login gets the mouse
cursor back to normal.

Please see comment #63 below. Admittedly, it was a guess that xfce4
-power-manager is the package that should review this bug report.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1297144] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad X230] Invisible cursor after resume from suspend

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Elkins
I also have trouble getting the kernel module for my Realtek Ethernet
(r8169) to function after resuming from suspend which I have noted in
another bug report (#1556676).

My Ethernet work-around (/etc/pm/sleep.d/pm-helper.sh, attached) does
the trick because the resume-recovery issue is in the module r8168. I
tried to add psmouse to my pm-helper.sh script but it didn't work.
Fortunately, logout followed by login got the mouse cursor back to
normal.

>From this experience, I assume that the bug is in xfce4 somewhere,
probably xfce4-power-manager.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1297144] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad X230] Invisible cursor after resume from suspend

2016-03-19 Thread Richard Elkins
In Xubuntu 14.04.04 on an [HP Pavilion dv3-1075us] laptop, I am seeing
this symptom. That is, when I suspend for a long period of time (E.g.
overnight), the mouse is functional but the cursor has disappeared.
Resuming after suspending only a short period of time (E.g. 10 seconds)
does not yield this symptom. The symptom appears whether or not light-
locker is enabled.

Personally, I don't use light-locker as I have found the overlap between
light-locker and the xfce4-power-manager to cause weird issues in the
past - not to mention the fact that it is confusing to have 2 power
managers!

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1493888] Re: FGLRX incompatible with kernel 4.2

2015-10-24 Thread Richard Ayotte
@so1dieroffortune Blame AMD, it's their closed source drivers that don't
work. AMD does not support kernels greater than 3.19 as shown in their
15.9 release notes here http://support.amd.com/en-
us/download/desktop?os=Linux+x86. The 4.0 kernel was released on April
12th, 2015 which is plenty of time for AMD to update their drivers.
There's not way that AMD needs more than 6 months to make their drivers
compatible with the 4.0 kernels. In fact, I would estimate that one of
their engineers could make the compatibility fixes in less than week.

Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1465392] Re: Odd Keyboard responses

2015-08-23 Thread Richard Schneider
Christopher,

I am not that well educated in the functions / operations of Linux /
Ubuntu to attempt this. I fear that if it doesn't work I will lose a lot
of information that I presently cannot back up. If I were more
knowledgeable I'm sure I would feel more comfortable trying this but I'm
still learning and I am unfamiliar with Kernels.

Sincerely,
Rich Schneider

Could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very
top line at the top of the page (the release names are irrelevant for
testing, and please do not test the daily folder) following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional
upstream developers to examine the issue.

If the test did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot
into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to
test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue.
Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel
version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel,
please add the following tags by clicking on the yellow circle with a black
pencil icon, next to the word Tags, located at the bottom of the report
 description:
 kernel-fixed-upstream
 kernel-fixed-upstream-X.Y-rcZ

Where X, Y, and Z are numbers corresponding to the kernel version.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
 kernel-bug-exists-upstream
 kernel-bug-exists-upstream-X.Y-rcZ

Please note, an error to install the kernel does not fit the criteria of
 kernel-bug-exists-upstream.

Once testing of the latest upstream kernel is complete, please mark this
bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results.

 Thank you for your understanding.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1465392] Re: Odd Keyboard responses

2015-07-23 Thread Richard Schneider
I went through more nonsense trying to update the bios to version 3.60
but I finally succeeded and reinstalled Ubuntu 14.04. Updating bios 3.50
to 3.60 did not improve anything. I downloaded Ubuntu version 15.0?
hoping that it may make some difference. It did not. With version 13 of
Ubuntu my keyboard works correctly as it does with Windows (which I
dislike very much after using Ubuntu). the output of the following
terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s
bios-release-date is V3.60 3/12/2008

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1465392] Re: Odd Keyboard responses

I might also add that I replaced my keyboard with a new one with no
improvement. A USB plug in keyboard is the only way I can use this
laptop computer.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1464819] [NEW] FcNameParse fails when run on a name returned by FcNameUnparse

2015-06-12 Thread Richard Billington
Public bug reported:

This worked in version 2.2, but seems broken in 2.3.1

Similarly, providing a name given by FcNameUnparse to XftFontOpenName
also fails.

In both cases, by fails I mean that the pointer address returned is 0.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1453302] Re: Linux kernel freeze (it seems in current/3.19.0-17) on Dell Inspiron 1525

2015-05-10 Thread richard jones
I think I have the same problem on an Acer Aspire 5920 laptop. The
machine hangs very early in the boot process on Ubuntu
3.19.0-17-generic, but boots successfully using recovery mode, or
booting 3.19.0-16-generic. Let me know if I can provide further info. I
may need detailed instructions. Thanks.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1453302] Re: Linux kernel freeze (it seems in current/3.19.0-17) on Dell Inspiron 1525

2015-05-10 Thread richard jones
Additional info. Possibly irrelevant.

Using Firefox I have noticed a screen corruption that seems to occur
after some time idle. The same problem occurred on Ubuntu 14.04. It
suggests to me that somewhere deep in the graphics driver something is
amiss.

To use the Google Chrome browser I have had to un-check 'Use hardware
acceleration when available' to prevent the browser from crashing.

Attached is the dmesg output from a successful boot of 3.19.0-16-generic
which may be helpful. Whether booting successfully or not just before
the grub menu the following is reported: ACPI PCC Probe Failed. This is
apparently benign.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1396361] Re: Double Mouse Cursor

2015-01-26 Thread A. Richard Miller
This bug also affects the Nautilus file manager (and Image Viewer,
Fotoxx, more).

Click and drag any image icon. Presto! Your mouse cursor is changed into
a smaller version of that icon, with an arrow in its upper left and a
second arrow in its upper right. This is nice while you're dragging.
But, and this is the new probem, you then remain stuck with that weird,
wrong mouse cursor until you log out of the session or shut down!

This wrong behavior seems restricted to Ubuntu 14.10; 14.04 remains
okay. (I use 64-bit Ubuntu Desktop on various PC computers.)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1267650] Re: fglrx causes segmentation fault on boot

2015-01-22 Thread Richard Lam
Hello everyone.

I have the exact same error too on my Acer 8950G with an AMD Radeon HD
6850M. Everything installs without any errors and when I reboot, Ubuntu
logs a segmentation fault. I'm willing to help resolve this if possible
too, since my laptop has two hard drives.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1326688] Re: Can't disable panning on multiple monitors

2014-09-27 Thread Richard Casemore
I am using my tablet as an external monitor with VNC.

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release:14.04

$ xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --fb 3200x1080 --panning 0x0+0+0

$ xrandr | grep DVI-I-2

DVI-I-2 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x
axis y axis) 530mm x 300mm panning 3200x1080+0+0

Panning still happens. I had it working March 2013, I don't know when it
stopped working as expected.
