I don't think it would be a good idea to promote Unicode v1 conformance in any way since some characters in that version were removed or encoded at a different location in later versions. - Chris

I was trying to find the place on unicode.org where conformance for 2.x is defined. I think one of the 2.1.x updates referred back to earlier conformance specs, but I couldn't find them. Any pointers? Thanks! Barry

In the left-hand column, clicking on Versions of the Unicode Standard will get you to http://www.unicode.org/standard/versions/.
