@steen Would it be realistic to add Spotify Cinnect support to Picoreplayer? I know I can use the Triode Plugin on my Server, but Spotify seems to be moving away from that kind of approach, so I'd like to see if this might work as a replacement. Thanks! I think I would go with the hifiberry DAC option ( it also fits the sabra 9023DAC). I don't think you can break you card by just choosing a wrong option. Usually you don't need to change the squeezelite settings. please report you findings. steen piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi (25MB in RAM). Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoPlayer = Squeezelite on Microcore linux. .An embedded OS in RAM with Squeezelite
At the moment i am using piCoPlayaer with usb-waveio-i2s-Buffalo II. I would like to connect Rpi with i2s to Buffalo DAC II. After some research i found how to connect Rpi with i2s to Buffalo DAC II and III. Buffalo DAC has four inputs for i2s - GND, DCK, D1, D2 On Pi we use p5 header http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/201...-pi-p5-header/ and we can connect Buffalo to Pi with i2s this way: Buffalo Gnd to Gnd (obviously) Rpi p5 header Pin 7 Buffalo DCK to Bit Clock Rpi p5 header Pin 5 Buffalo D1 to Word Clock/LRCK Rpi p5 header Pin 4 Buffalo D2 to Data out Rpi p5 header Pin 8 In picoreplayer web gui i can chosse between three i2s configuration. Which one, (if any of them) should i take for i2s with Buffalo DAC ? PS Thanks for this great piece of software :) praganj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41091 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi, thx for the answer, but i´m really not a Linux crack, no programming crack at all...more the solder and builder :o If there are more users needing this function (for a power status LED in 15898piCore DIY - players) maybe it´s a good idea to implement this in the piCore installation ? cu sbp wrote: > Hi I haven't used GPIO myself, but piCorePlayer is basically an intact > microcore linux distribution (with a little extra to make it a > piCorePlayer), so you can install any microcore.tcz package you want. > There is a python-GPIO.tcz package you can use. > > See here > http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,16720.msg100085.html#msg100085 > and just ask in the microcore forum, they are really nice and helpfull > people, so I'm sure they will help you. > > When you have something working for you, please tell us what you did, as > I'm sure there are others with similar requests. > > STeen +---+ |Filename: Foto 2.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15898| +---+ Harryl89's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62905 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi, have anyone realised a control of the GPIO´s? Background is that i want to use a GPIO - Pin to control a relay to switch on/off an amplifier with the normal on/off Button in Ipeng. Want to build a nice setup with an vintage Receiver with piCore, HiFiBerry, controlled via iPeng or SB Controller, so I want to switch on/off the Receiver remotely. I am always using wired connection. both server and player are not connected to the same switch and it is very difficult to do so in my current setup. adyc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12564 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

That's why I said it was a "potential" issue. Just a heads-up to the potential users here that there might be some undesired behaviour from the new build. ;) I think the library on that machine is 46k tracks. Two players were connected. Neither playing music at the time I initiated the scan. As well as the non-responsive web gui, I noticed from the Transporter display, went from idle to "can't connect to server", while scanning. I don't know how long the scan took. But this morning the Transporter was back, re-connected to server, so it sorted itself out after the scan finished. I'll take another look at this over the weekend.
