Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Jivelite on a Pirate Audio 240x240 screen
I changed the output device under Squeezelite to 'Generic/simple TI5102 DAC' and now it's working properly. The output setting now shows 'equal', and the sliders work as expected. The only oddity is that under 'Audio Tweaks', it is still saying that the equaliser device is 'hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry,DEV=0'. I clearly have some testing to do, but it looks as though this could be an issue with the HiFiBerry device? Anyway, with the classic 'rock smile' configured in the equaliser these Tannoy 613s sound better than they ever have to my ears :-) chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111502 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

My squeezelite command string includes Code: -o hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry But in the squeezelite setup page there's a comment that 'Note: ALSA equalizer has set the output to "equal".' I've never used the equaliser before - should that ""equal" be visible somewhere? I thought I'd had a brainwave, because I've been doing my equaliser testing with the 'line out' version, and I wondered if they'd somehow made it ignore the equaliser settings, so that the line out signal is always the raw signal. But I swapped over to the 3W amp version (without changing the software configuration) and there's no change. chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111502 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hello! Today I installed my Pi 3B+ with the new 6.0.0b8 from ground up as I no longer use LMS on this Pi. Everything is working fine! Only my Bluetooth headphone is not working as expected. I switched on Bluetooth of the Pi, activated Bluetooth daemons and paired the headphone. It was on the list and the headphone showed me that it is paired and connected. Then I did a backup and restarted the Pi. The headphone is not connected automatically as in the previous installation. The list of paired devices is simply empty. I did this five times and nothing is changed. Also I looked into Players directly after pairing, but there is no extra player with the name of the headphone shown. But when I switch off my headphones directly after pairing and switch them on again, they are connected again. The free space in the filesystem is 100MB, so there should be no problems in saving the pairing information. Yes, you're right, SPI0 has two ports, spi0.0 and spi0.1, which can be selected with BCM8 and 7 respectively. Apparently you can simply make all the other pins the same (in parallel), but change the CS pin. But it seems that 'modprobe fbtft_device' can't make more than one framebuffer. Apparently second SPI bus, SPI1, is not enabled by default, but can be enabled by an overlay. Even then, you have to do something different to get a framebuffer on SPI1. It's all explained in that post, with nice links to the original source material, but I'm not going to go down that particular rabbit hole! Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 5.0.0
The Audiophonics extension was removed as it had some old wiring pi libraries built in. There is a script in the tc home directory that should replace it just fine. pcp-powerbutton.sh. But in most cases the two overlays that Ronnie mentioned work great too. Active Hi means the input shows active when there is 3.3 volts applied to the pin, Active Low means the input shows active when the pin is grounded to 0v. The Pull Up/Down/Off is setting and internal resistor on the rpi board. If I have a button that shorts a gpio pin to ground, and it is set Active Low. When the button is released, you need a way to get the pin driven back to 3.3v, thus you would set the PullUp Resistor on that GPIO. Pull Down works exactly opposite. Off would mean no internal pulls.this would be used if your driving a pin with a transistor or other electronics. So in Most cases: You want to set Active Hi, Pull Down Active Low, Pull Up. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
