[SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer and HDMI output
Question on the. HDMI output for a pi4. In my office I have piCoreplayer using a hifiberry card abs that install is great. For the den thinking of creating an install with the hdmi going directly to the tv. In the den just got our first smart tv and it shows all extra inputs as just another app, with picture in picture When using hdmi, does the pi need to do any conversion? Is he hdmi the digital signal? Is it the analog signal? Is the quality of the audio good using hdmi? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Backup piCorePlayer without removing SD card
@ronnie Not sure if you are joking or serious but I am using tweezers. I am using the official pi display and the ribbon connector is right around the sd slot so there is not enough room for fingers. I am very reluctant to ever disconnect the display ribbon, as the retainer clip for the ribbon on the display is very fragile. So need to use tweezers and approach from the side. I did buy the sd extension and that solves this issue. Also bought a right angle Ethernet adapter as Ethernet port has the same issue, no clearance to get fingers there. bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114913 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 8.0.0 - Bluetooth Discussion
Hello, So goal is to be able to have my Teams audio playing on my speakers attached to my piCoreplayer. This part works. Is this the behavior I should be seeing? 1) After manually disconnecting bluetooth from Windows to piCoreplayer, top volume level from piCoreplayer is very low. Only rebooting piCoreplayer sets volume back to "normal" 2) If there is local playback on piCoreplayer, cannot connect bluetooth. Must stop local playback first. Example workflow 1) Manually connect from windows PC to piCoreplayer 2) Have teams meeting 3) When teams meeting is over and would like to start music playing on piCoreplayer Must disconnect manally, player controls does not let me start playing music until I manually disconnect. 4) After manually disconnecting, volume is very low. Setting volume to max, does not make it very load. 5) Reboot, and then local play is at correct volume. bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114834 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer: auto switching in now playing
ScreenSwitcher is missing jive target, maybe this is why a manual install was required I have screenswitcher working. I manually copied the files over. This did not work for custom clock. On GitHub there is this file, in which some have targets=jive And some do not. https://github.com/LMS-Community/lms...extensions.xml Screenswitcher is missing the target=jive So this might explain why I had to install screenswitcher manually as it never appears in the applet install list on the previous piCoreplayer Still need to see why customclock while installed does not work, cannot click on custom clock menus bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116996 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] FYI: FLIRC and Long Presses/No Repeating
Hello, Just an FYI on the capabilities of the FLIRC and long presses. I was investigating how the FLIRC can handle a long press. It does, you can assign one action to single press, and a DIFFERENT action to long press. The problem for my use case, is that the long press does not repeat. So I wanted single press to be JMP_forward, which is next song, and long press, to seek in song. You can do a macro, so a long press does more than one seek_fwd, BUT there seems to be a glitch, after a long press, if you let it up and then press again, it starts repeating the first action and not the second long press action. bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117011 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
