State of North Carolina is seeking functional and technical support for the
Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) functions in SAP environment and adequate
functional support for the SAP hosting services project. This environment
services over 5,000 users and includes instances of ECC 6.0, BI 7.0,
Business Objects, CRM, SRM, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, GRC, NWCE,
and PI.


FI/CO support includes but is not limited to: providing guidance in
aligning NCDOT's business processes with SAP Best Practices functionality,
performing functional configuration and customization, maintaining system
integrity, and component integration with SAP ECC and Enterprise Portal.
Additional responsibilities include writing functional and technical
specifications, developing test plans & performing system testing. The
fiscal accountability and management of NCDOT’s diverse activities is
extremely complex and requires a robust business system that will provide
meaningful, accurate, and timely information for the various needs of
public/private end users, the Federal and State government and departmental
and administrative requirements.


Role responsibilities:


• Responsible for the solution design, configuration, testing and
maintenance of the SAP FI/CO modules in ECC 6.0.   (AP, AR,   FA,GL, SPL). •
Responsible for the solution design, configuration, testing and maintenance
of the SAP FM modules and SAP Budget in ECC 6.0.
 • Experience and knowledge of integration points
of FI/CO/FM modules and across other SAP modules. • Responsible for
Production support to troubleshoot, investigate, analyze and solve software
problems. • Responsible for working with business users and clients to
gather and document business requirements for system changes and to develop
solutions to satisfy business needs. • Responsible for analyzing the impact
changes will have on other internal/external business application systems. •
Responsible for developing all documentation related to system changes per
NCDOT change control polices and procedures.

*Proposed Staff’s Duties and Responsibilities:*

The tasks and activities of the Legacy Systems Data Cleansing, Conversion
and Analysis Specialist will include the following:

A.  Perform data analysis, mapping, and conversion processing support of
Legacy systems conversion efforts:

   1. Understand the FI$Cal system’s data conversion layouts and conversion
   activities / processes
   2. Guide and assist department SMEs in identifying/mapping data fields
   that will be extracted from Legacy systems and submitted for data
   conversion in pre-defined FI$Cal conversion layouts
   3. Support and document PeopleSoft SME facilitated data mapping sessions
   4. Guide and assist department SMEs during conversion file preparation
   and testing activities, data validation, and conversion cutover events
   5. Analyze data conversion results, identify options for conversion
   error resolution and data cleansing, and communicate results/resolutions
   options to department SMEs
   6. Perform research on conversion issues, identify root cause, and
   recommend/implement corrective measures

B.  Guide and assist FI$Cal staff by providing expert knowledge for
interactions with the System Integrator on issues regarding legacy systems
data cleansing results and activities.

C.  Complete assigned tasks timely and provide task status updates as
required by the Conversion Lead and / or FI$Cal Project Manager.

D.  Other duties as assigned by the Conversion Lead and / or FI$Cal Project
Manager.



*Skill Set*

   1. Three (3) years FTE experience writing PL/SQL queries/scripts/stored
   procedures.
   2. Two (2) years of technical development experience with PeopleSoft ERP.
   3. Two (2) years FTE experience working with extract programs from
   various legacy data sources (for example, relation database and Mainframe
   flat files).
   4. Thorough understanding and experience with ETL processes and concepts
   5. Strong quantitative skills, knowledge of Excel

   and experience using document management tools (for example, SharePoint)
   6. Ability to manage fluctuating workloads, understanding of quality

*Experience; *

• Working technical knowledge of Citrix, Xenserver hypervisor and related
virtualization technology, network, PC, and platform operating systems,

or higher, Citrix Xendesktop 6 or higher, and App-V.

11. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
12. Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies.

Maintenance
