ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •System Optimization •Configuring and maintaining Avatar system settings, and managing all technical aspects of the Avatar system to ensure smooth operation and full functionality of the hardware and software environment. •Administering user roles and accounts, and ensuring adherence to security and privacy best practice in compliance with BHD policy. •Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all system settings, user accounts, and other technical aspects of the Avatar system. •Develops and maintains policies and procedures that safeguard the Agency’s Avatar investment and protect the security and privacy of client information. •Plans, schedules, tests and communicates product updates to ensure that all environments are consistently up-to-date. •Works closely with clinical leadership and business analysts to ensure that Avatar is meeting clinical needs as effectively and efficiently as possible. •Support oversight •Coordinating with the vendor’s support team to ensure productive relationships and monitor all aspects of the hosted environment. •Working closely with IMSD to ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of the hardware environment and operating systems that support Avatar (local hardware, network and internet connectivity, Windows, Java). •Supervising and training others on the team who may assist with these functions as needed. •Verifying that contracted support and other vendors deliver on any Scope of Work relating to the medical record •Assisting with modeling and report writing as needed.
