Re: ava Source Base issue

2020-01-30 Thread Emilian Bold
Where are you taking the plugin from?

I see here http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/19545/nbandroid that the
latest update is from 2014 so there's chances it won't work with the
latest IDE.

The proper source seems to be
https://github.com/NBANDROIDTEAM/NBANDROID-V2 which should work with
NetBeans 10, 11 and CoolBeans / OpenBeans.

ava Source Base issue

2020-01-30 Thread Majid Ghasemi
 Hi,
I want to install bnAndroid Core plugin in NetBeans IDE.
But it needs "Java Source Base" plugin and it shows the following message:
"Some plugins require plugin Java Source Base to be installed. The plugin
Java Source Base is requested in implementation version 4."

I would be appreciated if you could tell me how I should fix it.

Thanks

Hi Gary,

Have you attempted to start up with a new userdir? I haven't worked much with

Re: NB 11.2 hangs on project background scan

2020-01-30 Thread Laszlo Kishalmi
I guess that the IDE still works even the scanning is stalled. The best
thing to do is to get a self profile snapshot See the button right to
the HEAP monitor or (Alt+Shift+Y).

Once you get a snapshot file an issue in out jira
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/ do not forget that the project is
NETBEANS) and attach the snapshot there, so we can analyze that.

My best guess some of your projects use some library over a network
drive. That makes the indexer crawling.

Hello,

Can somebody tell if this tutorial still up to date:

NetBeans IDE 11.1 platform?

I am facing an issue when implementing this in my module

I have the same issue with the complete tutorial source code :

 i am getting this exception:

Netbeans 11.2 Spring Framework problem

2020-01-30 Thread Tom M
When I create a new Java web project with Maven and add Spring Framework
support and try to build it I get an error message "Failure to find
org.springframework:spring-framework-bom:jar:4.0.1.RELEASE"

The same is true for the 3.x version of Spring Framework. All I did was

New Project -> Java with Maven -> Web Application and put in my name and
folder info for the project.

Next I right click the project
Properties -> Frameworks -> Add -> Spring MVC -> select 4.0.1 and include
JSTL

As soon as I do that I get a warning on the project. If I expand the list
of dependencies all look fine except for
spring-framework-bom-4.0.1.RELEASE.jar if I hover over it I see "Dependency
not yet downloaded. Build project to correct errors." So I build and get
the following error"

Failed to execute goal on project REPhotoTours: Could not resolve
dependencies for project com.mydomain:MyNetbeansProject:war:1.0-SNAPSHOT:
Failure to find org.springframework:spring-framework-bom:jar:4.0.1.RELEASE
in https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 was cached in the local repository,
resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of central has
elapsed or updates are forced -> [Help 1]

I found this solution online
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37625875/dependency-resolution-exception-in-
netbeans
-maven-web-application-for-spring-fra/38700407#38700407?newreg=1a731c3515884682a1efef40fe33c3b0

Which suggested adding type and scope to the dependency in pom.xml.

  org.springframework
  spring-framework-bom
  4.0.1.RELEASE
  pom
  import

When I do that, it works. This is an old thread so it doesn't make sense
that Netbeans would have an error in such a popular framework for a few
years without it being fixed so I think there might be something wrong with
my configuration.

I'm not that familiar with Maven. Can someone explain what adding type and
scope exactly does and why it fixes it? Should it work in Netbeans without
that? What should I be looking for?

I'm using JDK-13.0.2 on windows 10 64 bit.

The thing you are looking for is -PrunArgs="your app arguments"

Can you send this to the dev mailing list instead, please? There is no "NB
infra community" -- there are developers of NetBeans (on the dev mailing
list) and users of NetBeans, who are here and are not going to be able to
help with this. Also an issue would help too.

Update centers based on mirrors are a nightmare to support in an enterprise environment

2020-01-30 Thread Jean-Marc Borer
Hi guys,

This is bit of a complaint addressed to the NB infra community. When you
are stuck behind corporate proxy that is very aggressively filtering web
content, mirrors are a nightmare for you. In my case we need to whitelist
every single server hosting java binaries otherwise we get empty files. As
such, it is not viable to declare every single mirror (the company won't
accept that).

So my request is: please for NB IDE updates and their core components,
never ever use mirrors or provide an option to always point to the same
mirrored site.

This may sound silly, but is really an issue within enterprises and
therefore prevent the adoption of NB IDE far more than the alternatives,
which is really a pity...

JMB
