Re: locked file
thank you I have tried several times opening the file by deleting the locked file but it doesn't work. the USb has the locked file with it. There is an attached locked file of 1kg. It is a big file 56,000kg. Ok, you obviously mean kB or KiB. The difference is not very big, but I guess kB, so we are talking about 56 MB here, which is exactly 56·10⁶ B. Then I'm also assuming your comma character is a thousands separator and not a decimal separator – even though that's not the case in about half of all the countries in the world, mine included. Yes, that's indeed a very big file. Way too big to attach anywhere, I think. Files attached to this mailing list are usually stripped off, no matter what size they are, so if you want someone to have a look at them, you need to upload them somewhere and provide a link to them. If you can't open a file just because there's a file in the same folder with its name ending with ”.lock”, just remove that file and try again. That file is there to prevent someone else to open the file in edit mode when it's already opened by someone else. If Apache OpenOffice crash during editing, the lock file is probably not removed automatically, therefore you need to remove it manually. However, you should be able to open the USB version, since there is probably no lock file on it… Kind regards Johnny Rosenberg I also have the same file on the computer -I made a copy of the usb, but I am unable to open it. regards Heather --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus - To unsubscribe, e-mail:users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail:users-h...@openoffice.apache.org --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus

Maybe too expensive for most users? Or maybe the comma is a decimal separator, just like it is in about half of all the countries in the world, making it 56 kg and not a gram more or less. Then only a friend is needed. Together they can lift it without destroying their backs, I think.
