Hi Patrick,
What you should see is that the Save icon is greyed out when you save the
document. Is that what you mean ?

2006-02-09 Thread Patrick Marotta
Thanks Dave, for the information and linkI wonder if my problem has to do
with the computer i temporarily work atwhen i was at my own computer, i
didn't have this similar of color between selected items and nonselected items
(and when I will return, i don't suspect i will have that problem)Anyway,
no need to respond unless you get another idea of anything further to be
done

Have a good one and i have appreciated the speedy response!

AFAIK the current release of OOo does not provide a facility to change
tab colors. To submit a request for enhancement for this to be added to
some future release, go to http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/TLogin
register and reply to the registration confirmation email. If you find
an existing request for this feature vote for it, or if not you can
submit your own issue. This is the route by which most changes and
enhancements are put forward to the developers.

Re: [users] Fw: problem with my help pages

2006-02-08 Thread Patrick Marotta
Hello Dave,
Thanks for the timely manner and precise responses that you have given in
response to me...

1.My first email was solved and i considered the word duh! when i figured
out that i had not actually dropped the read-only files off of the
E-drive...Once i copied to the computer, they were not read-only anymoreSo
case closed on that one...

  2. Your assistance in providing a link to temporarily address the Help pages
issue is very good indeed...It appears successful and I will try that if I get
back on my own computer before the new openoffice version releases. So this is
a closed case as well

  3. About your response to the highlighting issue.I am inquiring
about the subject of selecting multiple sheets to edit all at the same
time..When selecting multiple sheets, the ones selected highlight in a
color that is very very close to the color for the unselected sheet or sheet in
use (both white)what i would like to know is How do i, when
selecting multiple sheets, make the highlighting (within a spreadsheet book,
with multiple sheets) a darker color, to provide a more significant contrast to
the sheets I haven't selected?I cannot tell them apart very easily when i
select multiple sheets for all of them to be editted at the same
time.At this time, the color for the sheet tab (on my computer) is
white. When i select multiple sheets, the tabs change a very faint light gray
(or blue, i am not sure) not much different than the normal white of the
unselected (or the tab of the sheet currently open). Is that clearer? i
hope i am explaining
it with a bit better clarity

Thanks for your attention in this...I should say that open office is a
wonderful office helpand i am grateful for the program, even with this
small setback

I am not sure I understand your problem here. Do you not see the name of
the active sheet in bold text? AFAIK at the present time there is no
facility to have anything other than the default tab highlighting in
Calc.
