[SOGo] using samba4 as an AD along with openchange

2012-10-24 Thread deepak
Hi,

I've successfully installed openchange and sogo2 on Ubuntu 12.04 and now and
the outlook compatibility works fine. I'm trying to use the samba4 in the same
machine as an AD server also. Dns is working fine, i've checked all the
records. I've tested kerberos login also, that also works fine. But when i try
to join to domain, i 'm getting an error saying that "networks path not found".
The dns server for windows machine is the the samba server. I've tried to query
dns from the windows machine and that also works fine. I made samba running on
debug level 5, but still i dont see any error in samba logs.

What am I doing wrong? Something is missing. When I run:

yes.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo and Active Directory - [NGImap4ConnectionManager] IMAP4 login failed

2012-10-24 Thread Josep L. Guallar-Esteve

Hi all,

I was able to found and fix the problem with help from both dovecot and
SOGo IRC channels :)

The problem was caused because SOGo was sending as username
"goodu...@company.net" and IMAP was expectng "gooduser" alone.

I corrected SOGo behavior by defining the parameter
"IMAPLoginFieldName" in my defaults , under "SOGoUserSources". I made
the parameter to equal "sAMAccountName" , restarted both memcached and
sogod services and now IMAP is happily authenticating users.

This means adding to my .GNUstepDefaults:

SOGoUserSources

(...)

  IMAPLoginFieldName
  sAMAccountName

Josep

[SOGo] ANN: SOGo 2.0.2

2012-10-24 Thread Wolfgang Sourdeau
The Inverse Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of
SOGo 2.0.2. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on improved
stability and performance over version 2.0.1.

 What is SOGo

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or
by using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning,
Apple Calendar and Address Book (OSX and iOS) and Microsoft Outlook.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and
reuses existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution
easy to deploy and interoperable with many applications.

SOGo features :

 * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many
   thousand users
 * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features
   and the data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
 * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using
   the SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
 * Native compatibility for Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010
 *

   Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices
   (BlackBerry , Palm,
   Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector

 * Excellent native integration with Apple software (OSX and iOS) and
   Android-based devices

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

 Changes from the previous release

New features

 * added support for SMTP AUTH
 * sogo configuration can now be set in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
 * added support for GNU TLS

Enhancements

 * speed up of the parsing of IMAP traffic
 * minor speed up of the web interface
 * speed up of the live-loading of the message list in the mail module
 * speed up of the deletion of a large amounts of entries in the
   contacts module
 * updated the timezone files to the 2012.g edition
 * open file descriptors are now closed when the process starts
 * openchange backend: miscellaneous speed up of the synchronization
   operations

Bug fixes

 * the parameters included in the url of remote calendars are now taken
   into account
 * fixed an issue occurring with timezone definitions providing
   multiple entries
 * fixed issues occuring on OpenBSD and potentially other BSD flavours
 * openchange backend: miscellaneous crashes during certain Outlook
   operations, which have appeared in version 2.0.0, have been fixed

See http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/changelog_page.php?project_id=1 for closed
tickets and https://github.com/inverse-inc/sogo/commits/SOGo-2.0.2 for

[SOGo] survey question for our Ubuntu users

2012-10-24 Thread Wolfgang Sourdeau

Hi,

We are considering dropping support for Maverick and Natty, as they are
no longer supported by Canonical anymore. Who among you would be
affected if we stopped plublishing SOGo packages for those distributions?

Thank you!

[SOGo] SOGo and Active Directory - [NGImap4ConnectionManager] IMAP4 login failed

2012-10-24 Thread Josep L. Guallar-Esteve

Hello,

I'm setting up a SOGO test environment before I migrate our current
mail

system to a new one, hopefully with SOGo as it looks great.

I have SOGo authenticating with MS AD using LDAP, and it works fine. I
added the instructions to the wiki, as it was not 100% obvious:
http://wiki.sogo.nu/ActiveDirectory

I have Dovecot authenticating with MS AD using ntlm (
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/ActiveDirectoryNtlm ). This works because
I can login to IMAP with Thunderbird with Domain users .

So my user can login to SOGo fine. But once it's inside SOGo and I try
to access mail with SOGo, I get the error on the logs:

We have some of Lenny installations with sogo, but we don't have the
need to update often. If there is a need to update we usually updating
to the current stable.

So, not a problem if there is still some old version available.

It should read:

You can look at the current default values for existing users via:

/usr/sbin/sogo-tool user-preferences get defaults us...@example.com
SOGoCalendarCategories

For existing accounts you have to set it via:

Yes, and the new categories show with the new profile. How can I clear

Re: [SOGo] [SOLVED] Multi domain setup

2012-10-24 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

When I switched to multi domain, I forgot to remove the existing
SOGoUserSources setting:

defaults delete sogod SOGoUserSources

solved it.

even if I set this to NO, the problem remains. So this is something different.

[SOGo] sogo and openchange with dovecot auth agains samba4 AD

2012-10-24 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi group

I am currently running a mail server on ubuntu 11.04 with postfix 2.8.5,
dovecot dovecot 2.0.13 and openldap 2.4.23. I have now read about sogo and
I am thinking about installing it because of it's native outlook support
capabilities.

The ZEG appliance wouldn't be an option for me because I use a virtual
server from a provider where I can't install my own vm or even an iso.

When I go thru the documentation there is a part with installing
OpenChange based on samba4. As far as I understood the OpenChange
authentication is against the samba4 AD. Actually there is no support in
syncing the AD against an OpenLdap Server and I would have to change the
OpenLdap port because the AD is listening on port 389. To change the port
wouldn't be a big deal, but what i was thinking about to run the dovecot
auth also against the samba 4 AD.

I searched around on the internet but didn't find a doc yet how to do that.

Does anyone here could provide me with a link or a how-to ?

Thanks very much in advance.

Mit freundlichem Gruß

[SOGo] TurbaConvert horde/sogo

2012-10-24 Thread gerard breiner
Hello,

I'm trying to import all the contacts of horde into sogo by using this script
but without success. I can execute in command line without
error. When I look at https://sogo.mydomain/SOGo/so/gbreiner/Contacts/view
There is no new contacts except those which already existed.

I added a line print put.response["status"] , I get the HTTP code 302. Is it
what is expected ?
Is there something I should have to add in my apache configuration ?
In other words, apart the setup of config.py, is there something else I have to
configure or create ?
I use SOGo 2.0 That I installed from apt-get under Debian squeeze. Here is the

[SOGo] Multi domain setup

2012-10-24 Thread Christian Rößner
Hi,

I have created three user sources for three domains. When I log in into one
domain and go to address book and do a global address search, I can find people
from other user sources. I already have reformatted my LDAP tree to have one
"ou" for each domain, but that does not work. Also setting a filter does not
shrink the search (i.e. filter = "(mail=*@roessner-network-solutions.com)").

I need to use bindAsCurrentUser, as I am using a LDAP-user with read access on
LDAP to find the user logging in. The user itself can change his password.

This is my user sources section:

sogod domains '{
"exampleserver-de" = {
SOGoMailDomain = "exampleserver.de";
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldname = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
baseDN =
"ou=exampleserver-de,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de";
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = "";
bindFields = (
rnsMSRecipientAddress,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = ;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = "Gemeinsame Adressen";
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = "server1 server2";
id = directory2;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
}
);
};
"roessner-net" = {
SOGoMailDomain = "roessner-net.com";
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldname = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
baseDN =
"ou=roessner-net,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de";
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = "";
bindFields = (
rnsMSRecipientAddress,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = ;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = "Gemeinsame Adressen";
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = "server1 server2";
id = directory1;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
}
);
};
"roessner-network-solutions-com" = {
SOGoMailDomain = "roessner-network-solutions.com";
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldname = uid;
IMAPLoginFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
KindFieldName = Kind;
MailFieldNames = (
mail
);
MultipleBookingsFieldName = Multiplebookings;
UIDFieldName = rnsMSDovecotUser;
baseDN =
"ou=roessner-network-solutions-com,ou=people,ou=it,dc=roessner-net,dc=de";
bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
bindDN = "";
bindFields = (
rnsMSRecipientAddress,
uniqueIdentifier
);
bindPassword = ;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = "Gemeinsame Adressen";
encryption = STARTTLS;
hostname = "server1 server2";
id = directory0;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
scope = SUB;
type = ldap;
userPasswordAlgorithm = SSHA;
}
);
};
}'

Does someone know how to solve this? I really would like to give people who are
interested to SOGo testing accounts on the exampleserver.de domain, but I do
not want them to see anything on other domains, as I also use that server for
my own business stuff.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

-Christian Rößner
