I would suggest updating to the next nightlies of sope-mime. If enough

Hi Nikolaj,

Whole point of having SSL is to "cover" the external users including the mobile ones.
What kind of problems I could face?
If I can not manage to have both (SSL and non-SSL), in that case I would prefer to have only SSL access.

Thanks,

  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-name" "sogo.mydomain.com"

You can use LDAP in multimaster mode, there is not a master LDAP server,
you should point your DNS to the both LDAP servers

- Use anycast addresses, or DNS failover scripting, for
user-connectivity failover (for some clients we can use SRV record

We use a setup something like this and it works rather well,
though requires a fair few VM instances to run. We also put simple
(non-persistent disk) loadbalancing/failover VM's in front of each
service that can handle automatic failover (SQL, LDAP read, MX and
Cyrus Frontends for example) to handle failures automatically.

It also makes backup easy since you run backup on the replicas and
nobody notices :)

However, we're not using this with Exchange emulation (yet) so
it'll be interesting to figure out how it behaves in this environment

However for a simple deployment DRBD is probably easier :)

When I change my email password in SOGo web interface the password in Funambol

[SOGo] Connector and Integrator builds for TB17 beta?

2012-10-30 Thread Robert Casties
Hi,

now that beta builds for Thunderbird 17 ESR are out (for a while) are
there new builds of SOGO-Connector and SOGO-Integrator to test?

The current 10.0.3 extensions mostly work but I have the problem that
calendars are not updates with events on the server unless I switch
caching on or off.

I had that problem since TB15 or so but now that the next official
release is near I really like to see it fixed ;-)

I'll file a bug but I wanted to know if the 10.0.3 extensions are really
the latest.

[SOGo] Sogo does not show utf-8 eMails correctly

2012-10-30 Thread Kai Stenders

Hey guys,

right now i'm working on the migration of a SOGo installation to newer
hardware.

On the new system i have the issue that sogo doesn't show utf8 emails
correctly. The mail subject is shown like
?utf-8?q?"Pers=C3=B6nlicher_Kalender"_wurde_erstellt?=
the Apache is running correctly with UTF-8 default charset. Do you know
if there is another place where i have to set the charset?

In thunderbird the emails are displayed correctly.

I'm running sogo in the newest version on a debian squeeze.

best regards
Kai

By cons with Funambol, you can not synchronize multiple accounts, it

Re: [SOGo] SOGoUIAdditionalCSSFiles

2012-10-30 Thread Peter Schmidt

Can you confirm that is your own css file that is loaded? You can try
inspecting the html code or use a tool as Firebug to debug the CSS y
and view if default CSS properties are not overwriting your CSS properties

Hello Federico,

Yes it is a fact that the SOGoRootPage.css that is loaded is not the one I
customized. the mine load a different skin.
However I tried your idea of tracking the css code with firebug but "Wiew CSS" give no result
(blank page). Nevertheless it is not indeed html code. It is ? The only thing that work in the thumb
"Styles" of Firebug is "Disable CSS".
However I guess that the aim of the directive SOGo "SOGoUIAdditionalCSSFiles"
is to override the css so that to customize stylesheet with our own css. It is a pity but
it does not work for me. Does it work for you ?

I was curious and tried that myself. If you don't see any data in
Firebug (neither HTML and/or CSS), it sometimes helps to detach the
Firebug Frame to a window of its own, switch tabs in Firefox back and
forth and maybe reload the page.

The standard CSS (on my SOGo 1.3 installation) is defined within the
html document. If you link an external CSS file, I'm not sure if SOGo
parses the external and inserts the CSS definitions inline aswell or if
the external file is referenced.

As I would be interested in customizing/theming too and followed this
topic for a while now, maybe a "Theming Guide for Webdesigners" in the
documentation would be a good idea.

Best regards and thanks to all at Inverse!

[SOGo] Using the same email for all meeting rooms is not possible?!

2012-10-30 Thread Igor Vitorac

I have tried to test using the resources with the same email address.
User backend is SQL (MySQL) user source and SOGo 2.0

If I configure following resources:
C Uid: room1
C Name: room1
C Cn: Meeting room1
Mail: *r...@mydomain.com*

C Uid: room2
C Name: room2
C Cn: Meeting room2
Mail: *r...@mydomain.com*

If I include any of these resources as participant of the meeting.
Free/busy status gives busy for both meeting rooms.
Even if I login as any of these resources, I will see that me (as a
resource) have scheduled event. Seems, it checks the email and not other
user properties to check user events.

What other people use for multiple resources?
Do you create email address for every resource?

Thanks,
Igor

By cons with Funambol, you can not synchronize multiple accounts, it seems.

Re: [SOGo] Hooks status in SOGo

2012-10-30 Thread Igor Vitorac
I am familiar with building from sources, but I prefer to run it from
packages.
In any case, I would like to see the instructions. Maybe some other
people are also interested, so we could consider putting these
instructions into SOGo wiki.

Thanks,
Igor

The status hasn't changed much. The initial PoC is ready to go but we
need to create a few packages (RPM/deb) to make things easily
installable.

If you're familiar building everything some sources, I could send you
instructions.

Thanks,

Re: [SOGo] Backup Redundant System

2012-10-30 Thread Nathanael Bettridge
I know there's been active/passive disk image designs mentioned, but for
something more application-level (and more expansive):

- Use LDAP with replication for accounts
- Use Cyrus IMAPd native replication and frontend/backend to handle mail
(you can combine this with a Cyrus Murder to have a primary DB at each
site along with a replica DB of the alternate site)

- Use native SQL replication for the SOGo database
- Use MX failover for inbound email, with live MXes at each site
pointing at the same LDAP db and handing off delivery to the Cyrus frontends
- Use anycast addresses, or DNS failover scripting, for
user-connectivity failover (for some clients we can use SRV record
tricks too)

We use a setup something like this and it works rather well, though
requires a fair few VM instances to run. We also put simple
(non-persistent disk) loadbalancing/failover VM's in front of each
service that can handle automatic failover (SQL, LDAP read, MX and Cyrus
Frontends for example) to handle failures automatically.

It also makes backup easy since you run backup on the replicas and
nobody notices :)

However, we're not using this with Exchange emulation (yet) so it'll be
interesting to figure out how it behaves in this environment

However for a simple deployment DRBD is probably easier :)

Hi,
I'm am looking at venturing into sogo as an exchange replacement, and have a
question before I begin. I promise I have searched before posting, but can't
find anything related (or I may have poor keyword choices :-) So I apologize if
this has been discussed already.

We have a couple of office locations, and I'd like to set up 2 servers, 1 at
each location, that mirror each other. That way if one location goes down
(power or internet loss or hardware failure) the other server can still at
least receive SMTP. It would be great if the client side connectivity could
also work when one or the other servers go down, but not as important as making
sure we don't miss any incoming mail over SMTP.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,
Carlin

Hello Federico,

Yes it is a fact that the SOGoRootPage.css that is loaded is not the one I
customized. the mine load a different skin.
However I tried your idea of tracking the css code with firebug but "Wiew CSS"
give no result (blank page). Nevertheless it is not indeed html code. It is ?
The only thing that work in the thumb "Styles" of Firebug is "Disable CSS".
However I guess that the aim of the directive SOGo "SOGoUIAdditionalCSSFiles"
is to override the css so that to customize stylesheet with our own css. It is
a pity but it does not work for me. Does it work for you ?

Best regards.

Gerard

[SOGo] Mail contact objects at Samba4/Openchange/SOGo.

2012-10-30 Thread CpServiceSPb
As you know there is mail contact object at least at Exchange 2010,
regarding Exchange 2007, I don' t remember exactly.

Mail contact is user but not domain user, it is an external user (your
customer personnel for example) and he/she coulnd' t login to
domain/mail/groupware, that is they don' t have login accessibility.

Will you able to implement mail contact object to Samba4/Openchange/SOGo ?
