I'm not sure I fully understand your question but it'll be part of
the next

"major" version of SOGo but it'll be bundled as a separate RPM/deb.

Thanks your answer!
I meant separated release period/time.

When will be the next "major" release about? Q1 maybe, or later?

Friday

Ok, but which? :)

What about earlier version of Outlook (specifically 2010)?

Outlook 2003... 2010 will still require OpenChange/Samba4.

It's still an important piece of software for SOGo and we don't plan to
move away from it because we add Active Sync support.

These are two separate things, and both will continuously improve.

Ok, thanks... one reason to consider upgrading our licenses I guess.

One last question...

Do you anticipate this bug that is causing problems with earlier
versions of Outlook to really and truly be crushed soon? In time for the
next major release even?

Thanks again

ActiveSync support is a new feature in Outlook 2013 and not available in older
versions.

With our Active Sync support coming up (it'll show up in the source tree
tomorrow), you'll be able to use Outlook 2013 natively without
Samba4/OpenChange - which can be a challenging piece of software to
install/maintain.

That is *fantastic* news about not needing samba4/openchange, but...

What about earlier version of Outlook (specifically 2010)?

We have standardized on this version of office, and will probably stay
there for the foreseeable future. Having to upgrade to 2013 would not be
an insignificant cost.

It isn't a deal breaker, but again, the vast majority of our (eOpen)
licenses (60+) are for 2010.

Thanks Ludovic!

Basically, folders synchronization works as well as
events/tasks/contacts and mails. One can also send mails,
rename/delete/create folders. We're currently pimping the code so it's
releasable.

It will be released with the new SOGo release or with a separated package?

This is our most coveted package - I think...

[SOGo] Time zone offset in web interface

2014-01-10 Thread Marcel Waldvogel
I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 (SOGo from inverse repository) to 13.10
(SOGo 2.1.1b-1 built by Ubuntu). I rarely use the the Calendar web interface,
so only today I noticed that everything in there is shifted by an hour:

In the web interface, all appointments are displayed one hour early, both in
the calendar overview as well as in the edit window. When saving an entry, it
is moved yet an hour earlier. I tried switching timezones in SOGo between
Europe/Zurich (my default), Europe/Berlin and Europe/Amsterdam (all GMT+1 right
now), but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

CalDAV (and .ics exports) seem to do what is expected, also the red „current
time“ bar is at the correct location. I don’t see this effect at another SOGo
installation I have access to, so I guess it must be distribution/configuration
related.

What could be wrong?

Thanks for any help,
-Marcel

PS: I also moved from GNUstepDefaults to /etc/sogo/sogo.conf, clearing out
GNUstepDefaults; but this should not make a difference.

So with the new feature "Active Sync" I do not need any Echange or Openchange to have shared calenders and tasks planning?
