Hi,
I experiment with my hosts in sogo1
(sogo1=ubuntu,sogo,apache,dovecot,mysql,ldap)
-- from: --
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 xx...de sogosrv
-- to --
127.0.0.1 localhost sogosrv
127.0.1.1 xx...de test
-- and --
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 xx...de test
192.168.0.101 sogosrv

in this two tests it works on sogo1 now (see sogo1.log)
on sogo2 (sogo for ertern access) I get the same error
(sogo2=ubuntu,sogo,apache) (see sogo2.log)

what I could try?
has anyone a second sogo running on a separate server?
thanks for any help

Opechange requires Samba4. Samba4 and Samba3 can not be run simultaneously on
the same machine. I recommend setting up a completely separate vanilla machine
as a test mail server with all required services (postfix, dovecot, samba4,
sogo, openchange) in order to test Outlook connectivity. If you are happy with
the results, you can plan a Samba3 - Samba4 migration first (which will give
you undoubtedly benefit on it’s own) followed by mail server migration (current
server - openchange).

I would not bother with any black magic trying to achieve the impossible -
vanilla setup is complex enough on it’s own to get it right.

Hope this helps,

[SOGo] SOGoSuperUsers

2014-06-17 Thread Rainer Ruprechtsberger
Hi,

so far I'd done most of the stuff with sogo-tool, now I wanted to try
the web admin thingy to adjust ACL to calendars and somehow can't get it
to work.

Defined a new user and made it admin:

  SOGoSuperUsernames = ( sogoadmin );

Login works perfectly fine, it's just that it doesn't show the
administrative Interface anywhere in the webinterface.

What did I wrong this time?

[SOGo] Sieve connection failed

Hello everyone,

I installed SOGo 2.2.5-1 on a VPS with CentOS 6.5 and iredmail. I followed the
setup described on the webpage of iredmail. I'm testing the functions and I
came across an issue described in your bugfix 2746 release 2.2.4. I have the
following message when I try to save my preferences:

2014-06-17 13:51:20.917 sogod [2066] Sieve connection failed on sieve :/ /

Firewall is off at the moment. SELinux is not installed on the VPS. I did a
minimal install.

Thanks for help.

Thank you for that. I am a little confused though. Does Openchange require
that all mail reside on it? Couldn't I leave my existing postfix/dovecot in
place and just pull from it? At least that is the way I read it before. Maybe I
misunderstood.

Is Sieve listening on localhost port 2000?
You have to check your imap server config (dovecot) for this.

Did you see your dovecot pigeonhole settings? Are you sure about the
TCP/2000?
I think the TCP/2000 is deprecated in the Dovecot 2.x (but usable in its
config). The new default port is 4190 AKAIK.

Check your config and use the right port is sogo.conf.

Check:
netstat -an | egrep '0\.0\.0\.0:(4190|2000) '

If your result contains two lines (or contains the 0.0.0.0:2000) then
your settings are ok, and your problem is different what I though.
If your result is only the 0.0.0.0:2000 then you need to use the
TCP/4190 instead of TCP/2000 in your sogo.conf.

If your result has no lines, then your install doesn't have sieve service.

Or.

Your sogo.conf has invalid settings.
The tight syntax is:

SOGoSieveServer = sieve://127.0.0.1:2000;

!Without any spaces between the quotes.

[SOGo] sogo-tool 'lost connection' errors afetr update to SOGo 2.2.5

2014-06-17 Thread Charles Marcus

I'm re-sending this as a new thread, since it is a new issue.

These occasional errors only started right after I updated to 2.2.5, and
are only happening, once, or yesterday, twice per day. I saw not one of
these in the prior 3 months of using SOGo.

connect_timeout is set to the default of 10 as it always has.

Here are the errors in question (these are all of them since we first
started using SOGo in March, as you can see the first one was on 6/12,
right after the 2.2.5 update):

Re: [SOGo] Outlook logon to SOGo/OpenChange/Samba fails

Hi,

 Thunderbird/Lightening ...

However, on access using Outlook samba crashes with the exception Uncaught
exception MAPIStoreIOException, reason: 'OCSFolderInfoURL' is not set,
though the setting is definitely there in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf!

googling suggests ln -s ~sogo/GNUstep /root. Tried it but no luck!

Your sogo configuration should be in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf rather then in
/var/lib/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults

Debugging a little using GDB shows that the value of user (sogoUser) is null
in the function folderTableURL in OpenChange/MAPIStoreUserContext.m (with a
hint to the UserContext ('self' in folderTableURL) not being populated
 fully?).

Did you run openchange_newuser —create USERNAME ?

Re: [SOGo] Dovecot shared mailbox dictionary via SOGo

2014-06-17 Thread Ian McMichael
Looks like I spoke too soon when I said everything worked! It certainly
does for mail folders and calendars. However, the changes I made appear to
have broken address books...

Since changing UIDFieldName = mail and running the rename-user, everything
appeared to work fine in the SOGo web UI. In fact, I have loaded a lot of
test data into calendars and address books today via the web and all seemed
fine. I then switched over to Thunderbird, installed the Integrator and
Connector and calendars work fine. However, in address books the URL is
missing the @example.net (domain) part of the username. This causes
address books to fail to load any content. If I manually update the
properties in Thunderbird to the URL shown in the SOGo web UI (via the
domain extension) then the content appears fine. My question is, where is
the Connector plug-in getting this incorrect URL when the user first
connects using Thunderbird? I've had a look around the sogo tables in
MySQL but can't see anything obviously wrong...

ActiveSync also works fine for mail and calendar but fails for address
book. No errors are produced but nothing is every sync'd. I suspect it
has the same issue as the Thunderbird Connector and if I could resolve that
issue everything would be great. Any pointers much appreciated

Look for .data files in /tmp. If you find any, send some privately.

We have yet to have migrated to Samba4 or AD proper so we are still using
our OpenLDAP and Samba3 domain. However I am wanting to test the Outlook
connectivity for possible rollout. Has anyone successfully deployed
SOGo+Openchange+Samba4 while still leaving Samba3 in place? Our setup
currentlystands as: PDC, mail, webmail/SOGo etc are all separate machines
with mail being a secondary domain controller with backup LDAP. Any pointers
 are very welcome.

 Donny B.

Does Samba3 support trusts (Windowstrust)? If so, you maybe should
explore a migration path with trusts in mind. Samba4 does support
trust to a certain extent (see
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/FAQ#Does_Samba_support_trust_relationship_with_AD.3F
and https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba/Status#Feature_Status).
Microsoft, on the topic;
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731404.aspx. Does Samba3
support SID-history?

The idea is, with a trust in place you could recreate all user account
in Samba AD DC, tie the old and the new account together with
SID-history and let the users log on to Samba AD DC-realm while the
computer accounts still are member of the old domain during migration.

Davor

No, sadly none present. I suspect it's not actually an ActiveSync

Create a brand new ActiveSync profile on Android and only sync the
address book. While doing so, sniff the traffic using tcpdump on port
2 from your SOGo server. Send the pcap over privately.
As I said, it also impacts the Thunderbird Integrator. That
generates the wrong URL for my personal address book when installed on
 a fresh Thunderbird profile.
How wrong? What is the URL being generated? Show your SOGo Integrator
customizations and your sogo.conf file.

[SOGo] Collected Address Book?

2014-06-17 Thread tzm.nyc
I updated to 2.2.5 today and now I have a Collected Address Book showing up
in my iPhone Groups. No idea what this is. We don't use Thunderbird at all.
Only using Sogo as an address book server with Mac OS X 10.9.3 Contacts and
IOS 7. Which by the way, Sogo works really well!!

Anybody know what this is Collected Address Book is and how to make it go
away?

Thanks,
Todd

Are you sure managesieve does even work?

Simply do:

% echo -ne '\000test8\000THE_PASSWORD' | openssl base64

Grab the hash. Say it gives 0xdeadbeef=. Do:

% telnet localhost 4190
authenticate plain 0xdeadbeef=

If it doesn't say OK, go ask in the Dovecot mailing list.

Write back to this list when it says OK.
