- 2.3.1.20150730-1 (test system with a couple of test users).

Outlook is configured using "compatible with Outlook.com or Exchange
ActiveSync" (https and self signed certificate) and it works pretty
good. I only tested basic functionality like sending/receiving mails,
creating/deleting appointments, tasks and contacts.

I also created a short video which shows the use of Outlook with SOGo
(https://www.foteviken.de/?p=2784).

To add some more information about it, I just uncomment these lines I
found in the Apache configuration:

ProxyPass /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync \
http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync \
retry=60 connectiontimeout=5 timeout=360

But after restarting Apache I see the following warnings (I thing):

root@s18513723:/etc/apache2/conf-enabled# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
 * Restarting web server apache2

Still the service is restarted. But Outlook still is unable to access
the server.

How interesting. Thank you for sharing your case. I see we have a very
similar environment. Here I am using Ubuntu 14.04 for SOGo server and
the packages are from:

deb http://inverse.ca/ubuntu trusty trusty

I did not know had to be installed the sogo-activesync package (thanks
for the tip!). Just in case, after that I restarted SOGo and now in the

upgrade from 2.1.16 to 2.1.17 then move on that.

but when I hit yum upgrade it updated to 2.3.0, so, perhaps sogo guys can
recommend me the right way of upgrade to 2.3.0

Re: [SOGo] Creating resources

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry, I should have been more specific.
I am encountering the same error as the original post by Luis where I have
added the calEntry and calendarRessource schema to my samba4 internal ldap
successfully but am encountering the following error for attribute kind and
multiplebookings when adding a resource:

ERR: Object class violation : "LDAP error 65 LDAP_OBJECT_CLASS_VIOLATION -

block before line 23

Yes, I have changed the root DN to suit my set up for all the ldif files.

Here's the ldif file of the resource I am trying to add:

===

Thanks in advance,

No!
You have to do that manually.

I nominate adding the database schema upgrade script to the deb and rpm
install/upgrade scripts. It would need to detect the current db schema
version and apply the appropriate db updates. Which it surely does
already...
That automation alone would probably reduce friction by 5%.

whatever is done, remember:
The db don't have to be on the same host as the SOGo daemon is!
We have i.e. have multiple SOGo frontend server and a postgresql
cluster (with pgpool) in the background.

Single server scenarios are not all there is.

Marc

I agree but SOGo always accesses its database using a defined connection
from sogo.conf. The same connection can be used to deliver a DB update.
It's not important if the database is on the same server. I have no
experience with pgpool but I believe any DB update can be delivered too.
It would be really helpful if these DB changes come with the
corresponding binary packages.

On information of the server I'm using "sogo.domain.com" and on
information of session I'm using the user and password for login on the
SOGo web interface.

Thanks in advance!

[SOGo] SOGo Native Outlook Configuration IMAP Trust

2015-08-04 Thread Sascha Kasch

Dear List,

i try to setup the Samba4/openchange/SOGo stuff and cannot get the
IMAP-Trust setting running within Dovecot.

But stumbled upon these lines in the "SOGo Native Outlook Configuration"
manual:

"...If you don’t have a trust between your IMAP server and SOGo, you
must at this point set the cleart-
ext password of the newly created user in
/var/lib/samba/private/mapistore/
word."

Seems quite obvious in first place but i am not able to configure this
as well.

I tried:

touch /var/lib/samba/private/mapistore/testuser
echo default > /var/lib/samba/private/mapistore/testuser

Samba then uses "testuser" as a password --> wrong

touch /var/lib/samba/private/mapistore/testuserdefault

Samba then uses "pwd=yes" as in imap connection --> wrong
probably because it does not find a user "testuserdefault" and falls
back to normal auth

---

mkdir /var/lib/samba/private/mapistore/testuser
touch /var/lib/samba/private/mapistore/testuser/default

So what exactly is the way to go? It's unclear to me

I tried your suggestion. In fact I had tried it before sending this mail
using "PLAIN" and "plain" (I read that it had to be lowercase), but has
not worked. After this attempt I get the following message in the web
interface:

cannot send message: (smtp) authentication failure

The SOGo log in debug mode is similar to the one showed in the initial
message, with AUTH=LOGIN.

I have the same problem when I attempt to upgrade to 2.3.1.

How do I do this?

When I check for newest package:

[root@srv sogo-2.3.1]# yum list installed libmemcached
Installed Packages
libmemcached.x86_64 0.49-1 @SOGo
[root@srv sogo-2.3.1]# yum list libmemcached

libmemcached.x86_64 0.49-1@SOGo
Available Packages
libmemcached.i6860.31-1.1.el6 base

I have:

(This is on CentOS 6.6 x86_64)

When I browse the repo with a web browser, I see that there is a 1.0.18

I had the same problem on debian 7.
Sogo would not start, it was missing the expected cusomized libmemcached
version from inverse repo.
The way I solved it , if I remember correctly, was to manually download
the package, and force install using the package installer, in your
case: yum.

It was tricky, several expected ways to do it wouldn't work.
These packages should auto install from repo without that trouble.
If this is still happening from the standard scripted installations onto
a fresh operating system, It should be added the the bug tracker for
fixing...

Can you download the individual package and install it manually?

IF you remember, I had to do that with the Inverse Samba package.

I downloaded, edited the package then installed it manually, but it did
the job.

Are the alpha-numeric-named calendars "shared" calendars from other

If so, that would seem to indicate the issue has to do with the

We have i.e. have multiple SOGo frontend server and a postgresql cluster
(with pgpool) in the background.

Single server scenarios are not all there is.

Your conclusions sound logical! Now maybe someone can help you fix it.

(1) since it seems not to involve users, looking in LDAP is probably
not the solution

(2) it sounds like a formatting error (UTF-8 etc.) in the database

If I read your e-mail correctly, this started when you recently
upgraded SOGo? I'm a little confused about your version number
2.2.16, as I don't remember that version. Can you not upgrade to the
latest version, 2.3.1?

nope, But i renamed those calendar and it seem to be work
Perhaps someone can help (I'm not an expert) It sounds like your
database needs a bit of a cleanup.

Do you have access to the database from a gui interface or command
line? Can you query these calendars? Are these the only calendars
effected? Is it possible to rename the calendars (i.e., correct them)?

[SOGo] Repeated failures

2015-08-04 Thread David Kmoch
Hi,

since 2.3.1 update we are getting repeated failure messages in SOGo log

 Aug 04 09:20:03 sogod [2074]: [ERROR]
<0x0x7fe6bedc6288[WOWatchDogChild]> FAILURE receiving status for child 4915
 Aug 04 09:20:03 sogod [2074]: [ERROR]

INFO:{errno = 11; error = "Resource temporarily unavailable"; stream =

 Aug 04 09:20:03 sogod [2074]: [ERROR]

4915 exited
 Aug 04 09:20:05 sogod [2074]: <0x0x7fe6bec175a8[WOWatchDog]> child
spawned with pid 5385

Happens approximately every 5-10 minutes.

Server load is minimal, number of http requests is negligible, system
has enough free memory, there are like 15-30 active SOGo users,

SOGo configuration is 6 workers, SxVMemLimit is default.

Any idea what could be wrong?

If the debian default package of apache is installed, it ships the proxy
module by default. Maybe its not enabled?

Try to run the following commands to enable the needed modules:
a2enmod proxy
a2enmod rewrite
a2enmod ssl #If you use https
a2enmod headers
service apache2 restart

I wrote a little article on how to install samba as domain controller
for user authentication via ldap and how to setup sogo for it. It does
not cover the openchange configuration.

Have a look at:

https://www.foteviken.de/?p=2465 (Samba as DC)
https://www.foteviken.de/?p=2566 (SOGo LDAP Setup with postfix and dovecot)

Both articles are in german.

Seems you didn't activate authentication for SMTP at all.
The "local" domain would be the one of your SMTP server (==
s18491687.onlinehome-server.com), not the "From" one.

Just try:
SOGoSMTPAuthenticationType = PLAIN;
