Betreff: [SOGo] Outlook for iOS and Android not working

Hi there

We've just moved to sogo from kopano and so far it's much more reliable.

One issue I'm having though is with the Outlook mobile apps. The account can be
added successfully to the apps but messages never load. I had similar issues
with z-push and kopano, where the solution was to disable provisioning. You can
see in the logs the HTTP requests looping. Is there a way to say list user
agents or "Device for which provisioning isn't required? Specifically, on
z-push, the only way to get sync working is to set "define('PROVISIONING',
false);".

Cheers

Alex

SV: [SOGo] SMTP server for each user

Hi,

I would say yes! But think twice about that, you need the users passwords in
plain text.

Is it possible to solve this via Postifx "Sender-Dependent SASL authentication"?

Hi,

I do not think that’s possible, I remember a few maybe 5 year ago I needed the
same settings going over the source [1] the only I were able to find were that
imap (c_imaphostname) and sieve (c_sievehostname) were supported on a per user
level.

The option I took back then were to configure the local postfix instance to
forward the email based on domain name to the correct server, a bit more
maintenance but it worked. A lot has changed sins then, so I might have
overlooked something

Hello,

is it possible to configure SOGo to have a separate SMTP server for each user?

Meaning: When UserA sends an E-Mail it is send via its SMTP account (e.g. for
foo...@gmx.de ) while when UserB sends an E-Mail it goes
via the SMTP for x...@web.de

I know that the Kerio Connect mailserver supports such a feature.

CalDAV is handled by Lightning in Thunderbird.
It is used for synchronizing calendars with servers.
CardDAV is used by many backends for address book synchronization.
There is no built in support for cardDAV in Thunderbird.

"SOGo Connector" is such a cardDAV implementation.
The "SOGo Connector" Add-On is currently under development, in order to
make it run under Thunderbird 68+.
That is not easy, as multiple APIs have changed.
Additionally the sandboxing of Add-Ons was introduced.
Because of that Add-Ons are no longer able to communicate directly with
each other.
Therefore "SOGo Connector" is now merged with "SOGo Integrator".
"SOGo Integrator" adds some functionality like calendar and addressbook
auto discovering, managing of share privileges and synchronizing of
calendar and addressbook colors.
"SOGo Integrator" has to be manually customized before installation, and
only supports SOGo as backend.
That is the reason, that the current implementation will only run with
SOGo as backend.

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 60 -> 68 Upgrade

2019-10-28 Thread Christian Mack
Hello

Your observations are correct.
All Thunderbird Add-Ons are either compatible with Thunderbird 60 or 68
there is no way to be compatible with both.
Therefore you always have to upgrade Thunderbird, remove the old
Add-Ons, and get the new one.

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

It's kind of odd to have to tell users that they can not create/delete
