Dear Sogo user,

I have the same problem and I think I found the solution after long
investiagions.
Our email server is separated from the Sogo-server and I found out

that the Sogo server has permanent ProxyTimeout errors.

The reason for that ProxyTimeout errors was, that the (Outlook 2016) avtiveSync
client is checking every file on the email storage. Unfortunately we have
the emails stored in the same folder like out Windows user profiles.
This profiles are quite huge and the Sogo-server search in every user
profile folder and subfolder for valid mbox files. This means the Sogo-server
checks
every file header for every file in the user folders and creates the error
message
that these files are not valid mbox files. The email folders are used very
often parallel with
IMAP Clients like Thunderbird that are using a .subscription file for email
folder subscription
definition, but activeSync or the Sogo-server does not interpret this
.subscription file.

For me is not really clear if the Sogo-server or email server searches in all
existing files and subfolders
for a valid mbox file or is this cause by the activeSync protokoll.

You can public my solution, but without my sender email address.

Kind regards
CGB

[SOGo] ActiveSync missing messages

2017-04-27 Thread "Alexandre Zuotoski Neto"

Hi!

   We are using Oulook 2016, Android mobiles e some IPhones with Activesync.
There is no error or so ever. But I’ve noticed that some messages are missing,
and it happens in any email folder. If I check the messages in Webmail, they
are there, but not in the clientes.

   Clients are configured to receive all messages.

Any tips?

Thanks!

Re: [SOGo] Default home page

2017-02-02 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto
Hi!

   Thanks for the suggestion, very appreciated. Before asking here, I
considered this solution, but I didn't want that the end user had
access/knew the SOGo address path, I mean, I'd like something more
elegant. Please, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that your
solution is bad, but this is not what I'd like to have.

   SOGo is brilliant, very powerful and deserves all the props, I love
it. That being said, there is always room for improvemente, two things
that could be a little bit easier are the interface customization
(colors, fonts, oprions, etc.) and the system customization (paths,
parametrs, etc.). I understand that this is a secondary priority, and I
agree, but the way it is now, is too technical and sometimes
confusing/hard to accomplish. This is just an end user view, who has
limited skills, not a criticism.

Thank you! :)

Re: [SOGo] end user passwd change in /SOGo

2017-02-01 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto
Hello everyone!

That would be great if the option to change password could work with
Microsoft Active Directory. I tried all tips that was suggested in the
last few mails, but none worked, I always end up with "Forbidden" and a
popup saying "Unhandled error response".

I guess that it is not possible to write in Microsoft AD, except
using some kind of paid protocol. I'm just wondering here, of course.

Note that I am running SOGo under a Ubuntu 14.04 TLS, that connects
to Microsoft AD to authenticate. The authentication works perfectly, but
the change password doesn't.

Cheers,

iRedMail itself, because it happened two updates ago with SOGo's own

[SOGo] Error starting SOGo after update

2017-01-17 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi!

 Yesterday, during the nightly build update, I received an error saying
that the update failed, that it couldn't read the sogo.conf file. I've
searched for some clues, but didn't find anything related to my problem
that could solve it.

 I tried some tips that I found, but then I realized that the ownership
of the file was different, it was root:root. I've changed it to
root:sogo, but when I tried to start the service, I've received the
following error:

"* Starting SOGo sogo 2017-01-17 08:27:03.711 sogod[2458] File
NSPropertyList.m: 1012. In parsePlItem Missing semicolon in dictionary
at line 268 char 10810

2017-01-17 08:27:03.714 sogod[2458] File NSDictionary.m: 635. In
-[NSDictionary initWithContentsOfFile:] Contents of file
'/etc/sogo/sogo.conf' does not contain a dictionary
<0x0x563672bd5dc8[SOGoStartupLogger]> Cannot read configuration from
'/etc/sogo/sogo.conf'. Aborting"

 After editing sogo.conf and inserting the semicolon in the line 268, it
started the service. But now, everytime that I restart the server, it
doesn' start SOGo, with the same error above, even with the semicolon
there already. It just starts the service if I edit the file and save it
again. It's not necessary to chance anything, just save it.

 So, is there any kind of cache file or something that is causing this
error?

 I am running it in a Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS.

Any help will be gladly appreciated.

Thank you,

Re: [SOGo] AD avatar - How to?

2017-01-13 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi!

 After trying to solve the OutlookCalDavSynchronizer issue with its
developer, he found something related to SOGo itself. Alexander
Nimmervoll, OutlookCaldavSynchronizer developer, said:

"SOGo converts the LDAP photo somehow and exports it as PHOTO attribute
via CardDAV, in this process somewhere n gets inserted which causes this
problem. When I manually remove them and add tab stops between the
encoded photo lines the contact gets synced correctly, but that
workaround won't help you of course. You should create a ticket in the
SOGo bugtracker or ask in the mailing list there, if photos from ldap
adressbook should work via CardDAV."

Reference:
https://sourceforge.net/p/outlookcaldavsynchronizer/discussion/general/thread/d6640b37/

 Please, is there anything I can do, to make it work?

Thank you!

Hello.

 After a few tries, I can confirm that mapping the AD photo, causes an

Re: [SOGo] AD avatar - How to?

2017-01-09 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi!

 Unfortunatelly it is not working with CaldavSynchronizer. When photo
mapping is enabled, CalDav returns the following error:
"System.FormatException: Invalid length for a Base-64 char array or
string.".

 Somebody already had this issue, but the answer wasn't very good:
https://sourceforge.net/p/outlookcaldavsynchronizer/discussion/general/thread/d6640b37/

 Is there anything that we can do to make it work with
CalDavSynchronizer, too?

Thank you.

Re: [SOGo] AD avatar - How to?

2017-01-09 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi Christoph,

 Thanks, that did the trick. Actually I had added the mapping, but I
guess that that I've chosen the wrong attribute, now to be sure that it
will bring the image, I used both (like in your example). The
documentation like that explains how to do it is here:
https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoInstallationGuide.html#_ldap_attributes_mapping

Here is how my sogo.conf looks like now - I just replaced some personal
data, like server names and passwords, by uppercase words, like
MY_AD_DOMAIN, for example:

"

SOGoUserSources = (
 {
 type = ldap;
 hostname = "ldap://MY_AD_SERVER_ADDRESS_GOES_HERE;;
 baseDN = "CN=users,DC=MY_AD_DOMAIN";
 //bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
 bindDN = "ADUSER_TO_READ_MY_AD@MY_DOMAIN";
 bindPassword = "MY_AD_USER_THAT_READS_AD";
 filter = "((memberOf='CN=SOME_AD_LEVEL,CN=Users,DC=MY_AD_DOMAIN' AND
NOT useraccountcontrol:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:='2') OR
(memberOf='CN=SOME_AD_LEVEL_FOR_GROUPS,CN=Users,DC=MY_AD_DOMAIN'))";
 //filter = "mail='*'";
 scope = SUB;

// The algorithm used for password encryption when changing
 // passwords without Password Policies enabled.
 // Possible values are: plain, crypt, md5-crypt, ssha, ssha512.
 userPasswordAlgorithm = plain;

IDFieldName = cn;
 bindFields = (sAMAccountName);
 CNFieldName = cn;
 // value of UID field must be unique on whole server.
 UIDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
 IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
 SearchFieldNames = (cn, sn, displayName, mail, otherMailbox, name);
 canAuthenticate = YES;
 displayName = "THE NAME FOR MY GLOBAL CATALOG THAT WILL SHOW UP IN SOGO
INTERFACE";
 id = directory;
 isAddressBook = YES;
 mapping = {
 photo = ("thumbnailPhoto","jpegPhoto");
 };

}

);

"

 Now I'll try to make it work with CalDavSynchronizer with Outlook and
if it works, that will be just perfect.

Thank you!

Hi!

 I saw that SOGo now supports active directory avatars (I guess that it
also supports MS-AD thumbnalPhoto/jpegPhoto attribute). Is it correct?
If so, how to do it, please?

[SOGo] AD avatar

Hi! Is there any way to map avatar from AD? I already use the AD avatar
in Roundcube, GLPI, Spark, etc., but couldn't find the field to map in
SOGo.

Thanks.

Re: [SOGo] Sogo and Windows AD integration

2016-06-30 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi! I hope that I am able to help here.

I've managed to integrate iRedMail with my AD, which includes SOGo. But
I think that what is missing for you is the concept itself.

Usually, when you authenticate a Linux service against Ative Directory,
you can forget about Linux after making it work. Everything is made in
Windows (AD). You create users in AD, set passwords, etc. It all depends
on what resources are used by the application that depends on AD
information.

That being said, SOGo will authenticated AD users, not Linux users after
you integrate them (at least that's what I did here). So, you have to
create and update users in Windows only.

Here is another post in IRedMail, where I comment about SOGo integration
and show a sample configuration file, when asking for support. (This is
why I like more foruns than mail lists):
http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic11288-iredmail-support-sogo-group-receiver-issue.html

Also, I maybe wrong, but I guess that SOGo doesn't deal with mail
itself, it depends on other services like Postfix, for example. So,
Postfix also must be prepared to work with AD - Postfix MUST be the
first thing to be integrated, before anything, by the way.
