[SOGo] Testing SOGo with Thunderbird 10.0.4ESR
Hi I'm doing another round of tests with Thunderbird 10.0.4ESR in Windows and SOGo 1.3.12. Following the instructions I am trying to get Lightning installed from addons.mozilla.org, but the latest version won't work with 10.0.4ESR. It seems only version 1.2.3 will work with TB ESR - is this correct? Thanks for any confirmation. Cheers, Fabian Rodriguez http://fsf.magicfab.ca signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Maybe someone can fund Jeroen's work in Debian?: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=584073 I'd love to see proper packaging for Debian+derivatives, but it's not going to happen anytime soon, specially the way SOGo relies on unsupported, manually-installed packages both in ZEG and the regular releases. This prevents any type of vendor-provided (ie. Canonical, etc.) commercial support and ties your production systems to Inverse's support which I was told would change its model but hasn't in a while. In terms of functionality, I can't say if the application available on the market has more or less. However, the .apk from F-Droid is a clean build from 100% free, open source code. From the About page: "Wherever possible, applications in the repository are built from source, and that source code is checked for potential security or privacy issues. This checking is far from exhaustive though, and there are no guarantees." F-Droid acts as an alternative marketplace for apps providing management (install/update/remove), and where all apps are built from source. [SOGo] Sharing/modifying contacts and events problems in ZEG 2b4
Hi, I've setup the latest ZEG (2b4) and I am using Outlook 2010 to test a few test cases with the default users (sogo1,sogo2,sogo3): 1- Share sogo2's calendar and create a new address book in sogo2, and share both with full rights 2- Configure sogo1 for use with Outlook 2010, add sogo2's shared addressbook and calendar 3- Create/modify events using the web interface (sogo2) 4- Check if the calendar and contacts added in web interface (and modifications) are visible in Outlook 2010 and vice-versa 5- Create/modify events in sogo2's shared calendar/contacts using Outlook 2010 (as sogo1) So far I can do 1) and 2), 3) works too, although I can't add sogo2's shared calendar. It's always shown as "not connected" despite adding it from the addressbook. I assumed if a user was subscribe to another user's shared calendar, I wouldn't need to add it explicitly. In Outlook 2010 I can add only sogo1's calendar, then any other calendars I add always show up as "aucune connection" (no connections). When I tried 4) I was able to: - see only the first event I ever created under sogo1, changes from Outlook 2011 are silently ignored, changes from web interfaces show up after Shift-F9 - see all shared contacts, changes/additions from Outlook 2010 fail with an error message indicating a full mailbox (?) Never got to 5) as even local events disappear after a sync from Outlook (separate thread). Although I have the OK to use Thunderbird for this project I was hoping some of the clients could keep their current Outlook installation. Is anyone having the same experience I am ? Seems I'll have to wait longer on this one. Thanks for sharing any results you may have from testing this w/Outlook. F. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

[SOGo] New here, question about email services/shared cal+addressbook in SOGo
Hi everyone, I am new on the list, having just been tasked to evaluate SOGo for a small project. I have a few questions I can't seem to find answers for in the FAQ or installation docs. This may seem obvious but bear in mind I also need to present this to other people. The users I need this for already have email provisioned elsewhere. Will their IMAP remote account be able to integrate shared contacts and calendar from a local SOGo server ? I understand the need for the local mail server (notifications, primarily), but I want to keep those separate. Is it possible ? The current setup has Outlook 2010 or 2007 as clients, will SOGo support shared calendars and contacts *including r/w access* ? I am reading through documentation but I have limited time to decide if I even configure a test server - I tried ZEG but failed, I am now trying the online demo. [SOGo] Question about provisioning users in SOGo
Hi, It looks like users provisioning is done in Webwin, directly editing LDAP (seen on the ZEG web interface): You can browse, modify and create accounts using Webmin: 1. Select *LDAP Server* from the Servers menu 2. Select *Browser Database* The documentation also mentions using an LDIF file. I used the LDAP web admin to clone an existing user yet it won't authenticate. As a side note, there are several small mistakes in the welcome page of the ZEG server VM (such as "browser" above, should be "browse"). Should I file bug reports for such small stuff or is the mailing list enough ? Thanks in advance for any help with this.
