[SOGo] ActiveSync device attributes
Hi. I'm looking to build a nice web interface for my users similar to that provided by Exchange where users can self reset folders and devices. I'm planning on directly manipulating the backend database. I see from SOGoToolManageEAS.m how to list and delete/reset devices by querying and deleting the relevant rows in sogo_cache_folder_x, but I can't see that device attributes are stored (like phone number, manufacturer, device name etc. which devices often report, at a minimum the OS I tend to find) which would help to more easily identify devices when the deviceID isn't known. So my question is, does SOGo store this at all anywhere (or is it in the HTTP headers or would it require SOGo to interrogate the device/send a request, and this isn't implemented)? If not, of course, I'm going down a rabbit hole. Cheers Alex -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird Plugin vor Version 68
Hello, I also see something similar: fresh Tb 68 install with sogo-connector. I see all my 4 address books, but only those with 41 and 16 contacts are complete. The one with 450 contacts in SOGo only has 316 contacts in Tb. The one with more than 1000 contacts initially has 0 contacts. When I delete this address book in Tb and restart, it gets filled with 266 contacts. Further synchronisation does not work. I also don't see any buttons for subscribing, etc., nor any related properties like sync interval. It seems something breaks the sync with Tb68. Anyone has experience with this? BTW, calenders work fine. Regards, Alex Am 18.11.2019 um 13:41 schrieb Christian Naumer (c...@brain-biotech.de): Hello you all, does nobody have the same Problem with the new connector? I just tried it again an I can also reproduce it on another computer here it stops at ~1000 contacts. Is there something I can try to debug this? Regards Christian Am 11.11.19 um 20:31 schrieb Christian Naumer (c...@brain-biotech.de): Hello, es habe Just how noticed tust with the new version 68 plugin address book sync only works up to ~200 contacts ±30. I only noticed this now as I made a new profile for a user that has this address book with 4000 contacts and he had 0 of those and only some of his other address books were complete. So a deleted and subscribed all of them desperately and those with less than 200 were all complete only the one with 4000 got stuck at some number around 200 (217,230,220 etc). There is nothing in the error console of TB and nothing on the server in the logs. Sync just stops after those 200. I can reproduce this if I subscribe to the address book so I don't think it is account related. This works with TB60 and the old plugin. That is how I got the user their address book back. New profile on TB60 sync the address book and then upgrade. Can anybody reproduce this? Anything I can do to debug? [SOGo] Outlook for iOS and Android not working
Hi there We've just moved to sogo from kopano and so far it's much more reliable. One issue I'm having though is with the Outlook mobile apps. The account can be added successfully to the apps but messages never load. I had similar issues with z-push and kopano, where the solution was to disable provisioning. You can see in the logs the HTTP requests looping. Is there a way to say list user agents or "Device for which provisioning isn't required? Specifically, on z-push, the only way to get sync working is to set "define('PROVISIONING', false);". [SOGo] 403 error when synchronizing with fastmail
I am running Thunderbird 52.9.1 with the SOGo connector, my email provider is fastmail.com After making local changes to the address book, synchronization fails with a "403 Forbidden" error. The same operation works without issues when I use the Cardbook add-on instead of SOGo. So it should be something like: BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:3.0 PRODID:-//Inverse inc.//SOGo Connector 1.0//EN UID:a6bc67d8-97ac-40dc-809a-78953ce0ff56 FN:Contact ORG:Cabal; NICKNAME:Friend N:;Friend;; X-MOZILLA-HTML:FALSE EMAIL;TYPE=work:cont...@example.com REV:20180905T194613Z END:VCARD Apparently, SOGo does not set the "N" field when the first and last name are empty, which causes problems. [SOGo] UX suggestions
Hi all, I have no coding ability to help so I know it's easy to ask for features, however please please please think to these basic missing features that make SOGo usage terribly frustrating: * Typing an URL in a message makes it a clickable link (in HTML editing) * Click some header from any page to go back home * An an option in Preferences making "in-window" OR "new window" editing the default option instead of asking everytime * Do NOT save multiple instances of the same message in Draft folder. I'm having thousands of drafts in my Draft box, all duplications of some of them at different steps (10% of writing, 20%, 50%, 100% ...), only save the last version * Do NOT show the "unread message" counter in window title when Draft folder is open (some of drafts are showed are unread, what does that mean for a draft?) * Let us open messages in new tabs: give us back the middle click on Linux or the right click > Open in new tab option * Do not stack dozens of "Backend fetch error" messages when some communication problem occurs, a discrete Automatic Retry in X seconds of Slack/Gmail is a great alternative Thank you for considering these suggestions! [SOGo] howto set forwarding all incoming mails in Web GUI?
in the previous (v2) version of the Web GUI there was a tab in the mail preferences 'Forward' where I could list all email addresses where incoming mails should be forwarded to. Where is this option in version 3? I can define filters, but there is no filter to forward emails, only to store them in a local folder. On the features Site (https://sogo.nu/about.html#/features) I can read about "Forward and Auto-Reply. Set an auto reply while on vacation or forward all your incoming mail to one ore many alternate email addresses." ... but where can I set this forwarding in the web interface? thanks. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] Several tasks I don't know how to do in SOGo (might be feature wishes)
Hi there, I've recently switched my domain to SOGo 3.2.10 201707051800 and I have a couple of questions or remarks. Some are features I haven't found, or personal wishes for improvments, let me know what you think :) *1. Fast contact adding to address book:* When you receive an e-mail from a new sender, you sometimes want to save it, on Roundcound and Zimbra you can just click or right clic the sender and add it immediately. I found no such feature in SOGo, the sender picture is static, all you can do is double-clicking the address to send a new mail. I would expect an option by cliking the sender's icon that interprets "Alex Mercier " as a new contact with display name Alex Mercier and the corresponding e-mail address *1bis.* I guess an "*auto add*" option would also be on my wish list (kind of Google's collected addresses) *2. *When writing a long message, the formating toolbar stays up, why have to constantly go up and down while editing the message, this issue happens both in in-window editing style and new-window editing style. Fortunately, keyboard shortcuts help to save time :) *3.* Regarding these two editing styles (*in-window and new-window*): I write a new message much more often that I want to change new-window or in-window editing style. Writing a message needs 2 clicks while it should need only 1. I would prefer a default in-window style with an option to move it in a new window once editing has started. With an option "always edit messages in new windows" in preferences maybe *4. Auto-saving: *What about a confirmation window when escaping an unsaved changed preference window or a new contact in address book? I lost my changes a couple of times because I forgot to click "save" *5. Home button* Is there an emergency HOME button anywhere? Most websites go home when you click their logo. I've been looking for hours a way to escape from different things (message search, settings window, ...) but the way to escape these is always different, which is cognitively harder. Say, I had started a contact editing operation a few hours ago and new to send an urgent e-mail, I'm coming back to SOGo that remained on the contact editing form, and I have to realize that the current window is the address book, and I must first switch to e-mails before being able to write a mail, but I also want to save the current contact, so click save first... High cognitive load for a trivial task: escape. *6. Dynamic favicon*: What about a dynamic favicon that updates to tell the number of unread messages? It's terribly useful to be warned when there's a need to check inbox (and how urgent it is when the favicon says 9+ :-D) *7. Multiple accounts*; Can we open two different mail account in the same browser? Any trick to achieve so (except a private window)? *8. Disconnected information;* Sometimes I switch between several mail accounts, leaving some tabs open, when I go back to them a random message appears, either "forbidden" in a pretty infobox "forbidden" (OK) or "tried to access private object. tried to access private object" in some cases (bad). I guess a nicer message would be easier to understand: "Sorry you disconnected from this account" *9. Readability*: My mother does not manage to make the difference between ON (green) and OFF (grey) states of switches (such as the "Remember username" switch during login). I guess green is not enough contrasted from grey. Maybe the default theme should emphasis the contrast? *10. i18n:* I would say changing language should set the default dates and calendar format, unless the user set these settings manually. The french interface should set Monday as the default labor day, as well as Vendredi 1 Septembre 2017 as long date, and so on... *11. Bug:* On Firefox 55.0.2 on Ubuntu 16.04 with normal animation level settings, the message scroll bar (the very right one) is fixed and does not move neither by clicking it nor using the mouse wheel. The only way I can read my messages is by using the directional arrows or PAGE UP/DOWN keys. Thanks for reading and thank you in advance for your answers! [SOGo] SOGo ActiveSync problems
Hi. I started using my sogo server with Active Sync. Now i have recognized a big problem. With Outlook 2013 and 2016 the sync doesnt work as fine as maybe possible with mailboxes > 1-2GB. When i try to send a mail to an mailbox with Active Sync, it will appear in the webmail just a few seconds after sending it. But now when i try to read the mail in Outlook it sometimes take about 10 minutes or more until the mail is synced i can work with it. I have already tried to set "SOGoMaximumSyncResponseSize" and "SOGoMaximumSyncWindowSize" to any possible value, to incrase the "SxVMemLimit" and to change the "SOGoMaximumPingInterval" and the "SOGoMaximumSyncInterval" values. I have also tried to change the proxy timeout values in the nginx configuration files. I have recognized that in the logfile are much entries like this: Sleeping 30 seconds while detecting changes in Ping... Sleeping 30 seconds while detecting changes in Ping... [SOGo] SOGo and SCHEDULE-STATUS
Dear SOGo developers, Having setup a SOGo test installation and found that SOGo is working really great in every aspect. But when testing with outlook using CalDAV Synchronizer as connector, I found that when we create a meeting in SOGo with invitation, an invite email has been sent to attendee without problem. Only after synchronized with outlook, outlook seems not knowing status of the invitation, and still saying that invite email has not been sent. As refer to the RFC 6638, is the SCHEDULE-STATUS/REQUEST-STATUS may be a solution for the above problem? Or is there another suggestion to workaround the issue ? [SOGo] Sogo can't save settings
Hello I have a problem. I have limited the access for webmail to a specific LDAP group. That works! The users of the group have an email-account and access to the sieve server. Here I can save settings. But the users who have no account at the imap server can't save the settings. So they have also no access to sieve server. I get the message "Warning: Service is temporary unavailable". [SOGo] Meeting Invitations
I am currently using eGroupware and connecting using Funambol from Android and Apple mobile devices. The problem I have is that none of the devices, Funambol or eGroupware seem to feel responsible for sending out an invitation to a meeting created on one of the mobile clients. Is sogo the answer to my problems? If I create a meeting with guests on a mobile client and then sync that meeting to sogo, will sogo send out the invitations to the guests or will it expect that to already have been done on the client side? -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] Openchange on Ubuntu
No takers on this? I have also posted to Sernet support to get their take on this. I suspect the problem is in their deb packages, but I am surprised nobody has tried this. [SOGo] Inverse SOGo Integrator 10.0
Hi everyone, I have been upgrading a medium size environment of approximately 40 users from Thunderbird 3.1.x to Thunderbird 10.0.2-esr, along with all the SOGo add ons. I have noticed that now that I am using Thunderbird 10.0.2-esr / Lightning 1.2.3 / SOGo Integrator 10.0 / SOGo Connector 10.0, everything works well if I install the add-ons manually. If I just install the SOGo Integrator into a fresh Thunderbird profile, I can see Thunderbird connecting over HTTPS to the update server, but no add-ons get installed. If I go to the URL for the SOGo Connector in a browser (https://mail.company/plugins/updates.php?plugin=sogo-connec...@inverse.ca&version=0.00&platform=WINNT_x86-msvc), I get the following. This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. I’m trying to add the Admin user and a regular user, and I’m stuck. There doesn’t seem to be a sogo_view table, which seems to be logical given the other DB options added and their corresponding tables in the DB. Also, the other tables don’t have enough fields to make me think they’re relevant for adding users. The documentation shows how to add users using LDAP, but nothing on SQL. How do I do this? Ludovic, Awesome! It seems you're the first who bring native MAPI support among the fully opensource groupware. 1. Is there a plan to support shared folders for Outlook natively? Our university has a few (work)groups of users, who sort and store large amount of incoming correspondence collaboratively through the Exchange shared folders. And we (admins) can't get rid of Exchange without saving the look-and-feel of shared space for those few groups of users. 2. Is MAPI a top priority for main developers now? When should we start the testing+feedback? 3. Does this update involve lots of new strings for translation?
