For us it's also a first, but a very worrying first.

Does the user have privileges to add email to the destination?
If not, it should have been aborted.

It's a folder within her own mailbox. Second time, it succeeded.

Was that a move to an external email account added to SOGo?

Nope, within the same ('internal', localhost) imap dovecot mailbox.

Re: [SOGo] user MOVEs message, but SOGo does DELETE instead -> mail lost

2020-10-21 Thread mj

Hi,

Some additional info:

We have (and already had) dovecot mail-log-plugin enabled
(https://doc.dovecot.org/settings/plugin/mail-log-plugin) and the logs
show NO copy action, only the DELETE.

I verified our logging, to make sure that a COPY action would be logged,
and here is a sample, to prove that dovecot would log a copy action:

Thunderbird copy from INBOX to Drafts:
Oct 21 11:17:38 mail dovecot: imap(username)<18022>: copy from INBOX: box=Drafts,
uid=7410, msgid=<0.1.4b.2d8.1d6a785a415ff0...@mta-2d567506.ip4.emsmtp.us>, from="Newpharma"
, subject=...
Oct 21 11:17:38 mail dovecot: imap(username)<18022>: expunge: box=INBOX, uid=72758,
msgid=<0.1.4b.2d8.1d6a785a415ff0...@mta-2d567506.ip4.emsmtp.us>, from="Newpharma"
, subject=...

SOGo copy back from Drafts to INBOX:
Oct 21 11:21:24 mail dovecot: imap(username)<10375>: copy from Drafts: box=INBOX,
uid=72759, msgid=<0.1.4b.2d8.1d6a785a415ff0...@mta-2d567506.ip4.emsmtp.us>, from="Newpharma"
, subject=...
Oct 21 11:21:24 mail dovecot: imap(username)<10375>: delete: box=Drafts, uid=7410,
msgid=<0.1.4b.2d8.1d6a785a415ff0...@mta-2d567506.ip4.emsmtp.us>, from="Newpharma"
, subject=...

So, it really seems that SOGo yesterday actually DELETED a message that
should have been copied, basically causing loss of emails for the end user.

This looks quite disturbing.

and after this, the email is gone.

She signed up again for the same zoom thing, received the email again,
and this time the move to folder succeeded.

She claims this has happened to her before, with a completely different
(internal) email.

If it actually happened like this, it would of course be very rather
disturbing...

The logs seem to backup her story: there is a moveMessages from SOGo,
but nothing move-like is logged at the imap level, only a delete.

We are slightly worried. :-|

I will turn on ImapDebugEnabled = YES tonight, but what else to do? How
to investigate this further? Has anyone ever seen something similar?

She claims the first time she noticed this, was after we upgraded from
latest 2.x to 4.x.

Thanks!

Hi,

There are many howto's out there. We are using Lets Encrypt
certificates, configured using acme.sh
Just configure apache to use your certificates, and configure SOGo for
https too.

I use outlook 2016, here is my conf:

1. Add an Email Account -->Manual setup or addtional server types -->
outlook.com or Exachange ActiveSync compatible service.
2. Your name : test
email address: t...@ad.pthl.hk

   mail server: mail.ad.pthl.hk
   user name : test
   password:

---

it raised :

Log onto Exchange ActiveSync mail server (EAS): The server cannot be found.

I traced /etc/sogo/sogod.conf and /etc/httpd/logs/access_log, nothing is up.

I started httpd, sogod, memcached, I can login on webpage by http:///SOGo
and see calendar, contacts, and emails.

But when I configure emails through exchange protocol,
---
protocol:Exchange( the rest options are imap and pop3)
account name:x...@yyy.com ( the same as I login on webpage)
password: *

serveraddress: mail.xxx.com (this record exists on DNS, with PTR, A).

it raises an error "exchange rpc server is unavailable".

What did I do wrong?

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm unsure on using thunderbird with activesync, normally you would use
outlook (or a mobile device) to test this.

But in principle: when using activesync, openchange and samba are not
required, you just need to install the sogo activesync package. (that
should be in the docs)

EAS works beautifully here.

[SOGo] SOGo does not work with Apache ProxyPass to port 8069

2018-10-18 Thread Timo Sivula

Hi

I am building IT infrastructure for our 5 person startup on a VPS
service using OSS software.

The setup is as follows

Server
Ubuntu 16.04
LAMP
UFW
Fail2ban
Letsenrcypt
Ldap
SOGo 4
Odoo 11
SuiteCRM

Client
Ubuntu 16.04
Thunderbird
LibreOffice

Odoo requires a reverse proxy to be accessible, but when the proxy is
enabled in Apache, SOGo login UI loses all graphics and it is not
possible to log in.

- Removing the Proxy required by Odoo makes SOGo work perfectly.

- The SOGo CALDav URLs work even with the Proxy on.

- Logging onto the server with a VNC connector and accessign SOGo from
localhost works. It is the remote access that does not work with the proxy.

- I have tested this with and without firewall, but that makes no
difference.

Here is the section of my .conf file that is related to this problem

   ProxyRequests Off
   SetEnv proxy-nokeepalive 1
   ProxyPreserveHost On
   ProxyPass /ldap !
   ProxyPass /SuiteCRM !
   ProxyPass /suitecrm !

   ProxyPass    /SOGo/ http://ouripnumber:2/SOGo/
   ProxyPassReverse /SOGo/ http://ouripnumber:2/SOGo/

   http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo>
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-port" "443"
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-name" "ouripnumber/SOGo"
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-url" "https://ouripnumber/SOGo
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-protocol" "HTTP/1.0"
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-remote-host" %{REMOTE_HOST}e
env=REMOTE_HOST

  AddDefaultCharset UTF-8
  Order allow,deny
  Allow from all

#When this uncommented Odoo works, when I comment it Odoo stops working
but SOGo works.

    ProxyPass   / http://ouripnumber:8069/
    ProxyPassReverse / http://ouripnumber:8069/

Any ideas?

Re: [SOGo] Does anyone have freebusy url lookup problems with repeated events (for outlook users)?

2017-09-29 Thread "Raimondo Giammanco"

Hello MJ,

I am on sogo-3.2.10.20170928-1.el7.centos.x86_64 nightly at the moment.

I have updated the ticket #4289 with the extra observation about missing
repeating events on the freebusy, maybe will help.

Will report as well once I install another instance of sogo 3 somewhere else
for testing.

 Cheers

At least... that matches the date, not sure about the full-day part.
(perhaps T10Z - T11Z means full day)

Our SOGoFreeBusyDefaultInterval is set to (7, 365) And yours?

You're on a nightly? Perhaps try a newer one?

Re: [SOGo] Does anyone have freebusy url lookup problems with repeated events (for outlook users)?

2017-09-29 Thread mj

Hi raimondo,

We're on 2.3.22, and we cannot reproduce this. I have several infinite
weekly appointments in my own calendar, without an end-date and such.

And downloading my ifb works without an issue. The full-day weekly
repeating appointment looks like this:

FREEBUSY;FBTYPE=BUSY:20171006T10Z/20171006T11Z
FREEBUSY;FBTYPE=BUSY:20171013T10Z/20171013T11Z

At least... that matches the date, not sure about the full-day part.
(perhaps T10Z - T11Z means full day)

Our SOGoFreeBusyDefaultInterval is set to (7, 365) And yours?

You're on a nightly? Perhaps try a newer one?

I take a newly generated account, with an empty calendar, and I
download the freebusy.ifb via wget (after giving to Public permission to
view Date & Time for public and confidential events).

No problems, it downloads a file with no events:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR

DTSTART:117612381011T00Z
DTEND:20171027T22Z
END:VFREEBUSY
END:VCALENDAR

If I put a single event tomorrow, with weekly repetition and no end, one
sogo worker starts taking 100% cpu and hoarding memory. I have now a
script that checks every 5 seconds if a sogod process takes more than
1GB of ram and kills it, so I get rather rapidly:

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 502 Proxy Error
2017-09-28 16:43:31 ERROR 502: Proxy Error.

If I limit the repetition to 4 times only, it downloads exactly the same
ifb file then before, the only difference being the DTSTAMP field. So
the freebusy file seems not built correctly.

If I put a simple, not repeating event tomorrow (just before the event
being repeated 4 times), I get a freebusy ifb that only mention the non
repeating event:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
PRODID:-//Inverse inc./SOGo 3.2.10//EN

FREEBUSY;FBTYPE=BUSY:20170929T124500Z/20170929T134500Z
END:VFREEBUSY
END:VCALENDAR

Maybe this could shed some light on the issue?

I will maybe try a virtual machine of some ready to deploy server, like
iRedMail or Nethserver with SOGo to see if I can reproduce the same
behaviour.. as it stands, I use SOGo from the nightly rpms since I try
to customize amavis, dovecot and postfix...

Cheers
Raimondo

Re: [SOGo] does not support result references yet

2016-01-18 Thread Florian Unger

Hi,

I just had the same error message when running sogo-tool
and an overall very slow behaviour of SOGo with very high cpu load.

I found this old post from 2008 about the same error:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cms.opengroupware.sogo/858

Back then it happened when using Active Directory as LDAP source in combination with
Thunderbird, which is also my scenario.

the solution was

You have to write
IDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
instead of
IDFieldName = cn;

in the config of AD LDAP source.

This helped to solve my issue.

Best regards
Florian

[SOGo] does sogo-tool fix calendar problems

2015-12-21 Thread Stephen Ingram
SOGo refuses to sync various calendar events with iOS devices. The events
are typically created using iCal on a Mac desktop. They sync perfectly with
the SOGo Web interface, however, refuse to sync with iOS devices. I'm not
sure if there are bugs in SOGo itself (
http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=3411) or maybe SOGo cannot handle
certain types of events created in the Mac calendar. If I use soho-tool to
backup the users account, remove it and then recreate it from the backup,
does that re-create the events such that they are fully compatible, or does
it just replace what's already there with an exact duplicate?

Which client does generate such 'floating' appointments?

will this difference in domain names cause problems? Will all mail still get

Attach your complete sogo.conf (without the passwords).

2014-01-27 Thread Cedric Perrot
Thanks Christian for your response.

I am trying to implement groups as describe in
http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf page 22.

I applied the changes however it does not change that sogo does not start. One
defined UserSource in SOGOUserSources is ok however 2 won't start.
I tried to separate the 2 sources with and without comma but nothing seems to
work.

[SOGo] Sogo does not show utf-8 eMails correctly

2012-10-30 Thread Kai Stenders

Hey guys,

right now i'm working on the migration of a SOGo installation to newer
hardware.

On the new system i have the issue that sogo doesn't show utf8 emails
correctly. The mail subject is shown like
?utf-8?q?Pers=C3=B6nlicher_Kalender_wurde_erstellt?=
the Apache is running correctly with UTF-8 default charset. Do you know
if there is another place where i have to set the charset?

In thunderbird the emails are displayed correctly.

I'm running sogo in the newest version on a debian squeeze.

best regards
Kai

[SOGo] Does SOGo domain requires DNS domain?

2012-09-18 Thread Igor Vitorac

Hi,

Are there any limitations concerning SOGo domain and DNS domain i.e.
does SOGo domain requires the same DNS domain?

Practical example:
If we want to make one SOGo instance available to one group of people
(or one community) which belongs to various DNS domains (with various
email addresses and IMAP servers) could we achieve this with only one
user source (SOGo domain) where user preferences will be stored in user
source SQL table (we will use SQL user source)?

Igor

It's no longer true. I updated the FAQ. SOGo does handle SMTP error codes.

Many thanks

I thought it might be the case.

I think sometimes the FAQ is a little overlooked by everyone. Perhaps
understandably as the manulas really are excellent, but there are very
useful nuggets in the FAQ.

[SOGo] Does SOGo 32-bit rpm only work with 32-bit CPU?

2011-10-25 Thread Allen Chen

Hi, there

I have installed sogo-1.3.5a-1.el5.i386.rpm(and all related rpms like
sope-) onto

VirtualBox with CentOS 5.5 32bit on 32-bit CPU, SOGo works fine.

But when I installed the same rpms onto Vmware guest with CentOS 5.5
32bit on 64-bit CPU,
SOGo doesn't work properly: on web GUI, calendar doesn't show up (if
this calendar has been
synced with Funambol) and sogo log says process exited by signal 11. But
some users' calendars

are showed up(if they have never been synced with Funambol).

Can somebody confirm this behavior?

Thanks,
Allen

[SOGo] Does SOPE 1.3.1 need the patches in the SOGo tarball applied?

2010-09-14 Thread Sam Mulvey
Hi,

The subject is pretty self-explanatory... I'm compiling SOPE and SOGo as the
distro we use does not have packages available, and I've been out of the loop
on SOGo development for the last few months due to pesky medical things. I've
noticed that SOPE has been moved from an subversion feed and into a tarball.

Trying to apply the patches for SOPE in the SOGo tarball throws a lot of
errors, so it looks like I don't need to apply them anymore. That said, I'm
having trouble compiling SOPE and want to make sure that I've got that right.

Using a patch from the bug repository and one I have myself for compiling
locally, I've managed to get it to compile properly, but I want to make sure
I'm doing the right things.

So, my main question: When compiling SOPE, do I need to apply the patches in
the SOGo archive, or does the SOPE archive from Inverse come with those patches
pre-applied?
