Inject the ComponentEventLinkencoder service into your dispatcher and use
its decodePageRenderRequest(Request) method, which is exactly the same
Tapestry uses internally. It returns a PageRenderRequestParameters object,
which contains a getLogicalPageName() method which is exactly what you need.

At the risk of poking the bear...

I'm sure that, with your charm and winning ways with people, you'll go
far in this industry. (As long as you don't actually have to work with
people.)

Happy Thanksgiving (pardon the US-centrism), all.

And I personally am grateful for the rest of you, and your thoughts and
suggestions. Yes, Tapestry is moving into legacy-land for us, but we
still have (literally) millions of happy customers that we support with it.

Cheers.

Get page name inside Dispatcher

2016-11-25 Thread Nathan Quirynen

Hi,

I made an implementation of Dispatcher. I want to get the page name from
the request path. Is there any service I can use to achieve this?

I know in a ComponentRequestFilter for example I can use
PageRenderRequestParameters..getActivePageName(), but how can I do the
same inside a Dispatcher implementation?

Re: Embeding PDF document in Tapestry4 page

2016-11-25 Thread Nathan Quirynen
In that case I think you could take a look at the pdf.js library
(https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/) and make your own Tapestry component
that uses this javascript library. I'm not familiar with Tapestry 4
though, but that's how I would do it with Tapestry5

Hi Mukesh, I have put some instructions on how to build a service to output a
PDF in this file

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bnpq2tq58drbdn0/Tapestry4Pdf.zip?dl=0

I have extrapolated from my code, so is not working code, only instructions of
necessary steps: service creation, configuration, building link to invoke it.

Hope it helps.

Cheers
