[xwiki-users] No jobs in the scheduler of the wiki instances in a farm
Hi, I 'm using XEM 2.3.1 and I discovered that, by default, there is no job task defined in the subwikis. In the main wiki, the 3 notifiers are present and notification by email works fine. So a user in a subwiki can't define a notifier because the listbox is empty. My questions : - Is it normal ? - Do I have to create manually the notifiers in each subwiki ? And how to do that ? If someone can help me in this summer period, I will be very happy. Maxime ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] [Vote][Proposal] Action Menus Improvements part 2
1. New Add menu -1 I don't like the green button ! And I would prefer to have the items of the menu in the reverse order. First, add a comment or attachment, then a new page, ...and at last (at the bottom of the menu), add a new space. From the most usual (and useful) to the uncommon. 2. Wiki/Space/Page separation +1 3. New Delete Space entry and relocation of some Page actions +1 4. Better Wiki/Space naming representation (WIKI: Wikiname) +1 5. Uppercase menu usage just for top entries/labels +1 6. [xwiki-users] Panel Wizard not working in XE2.3.1
Hi XWiki users, Using XE2.3.1, the Panel Wizard does not work. You can try to save your new layout, it is not registered. A workaround is to define the list of panels in the Presentation section. Do you encounter the same issue ? Regards, Maxime ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[xwiki-users] Tooltip macro in XEM 2.3.1
Hi XWiki users, I encounter some difficulties with the Tooltip macro. I use XEM 2.3.1 in path mode. And I discovered on xwiki.org a wonderful macro to display tooltips in a wiki page. First, I add the Tooltip macro xar to the Admin Wiki. At this step, the macro works only in the Admin Wiki and only for the Admin user. In fact, by default, the Tooltip macro has a macro visibility set to Current User (I hope this will be changed in the future). I changed that setting to Global, and I filled the Description field (it was empty). Then, the Tooltip macro is working fine for any user in the Admin Wiki (present in the wysiwyg editor, correctly rendered). My last remaining problem is that it doesn't work in the Wiki Instances. I can insert a tooltip (using the wysiwyg editor, or manually), the macro is correctly inserted in the page but the tooltip is never rendered (nothing is displayed: no question mark, no tooltip). I'm sad. Do you have any idea to investigate ? Best regards, Maxime ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] Tooltip macro in XEM 2.3.1
I found a strange error that can help : In the page (in view mode), a specific tooltip javascript is included and the response to the request (http://server/xwiki/wiki/welcome/ssx/XWiki/Tooltip?language=fr) is 404 (welcome is the name of the instance wiki). Re: [xwiki-users] [xwiki-devs] [Proposal] Documentation Standard Document Call to Vote
Hello, I think the most important is to have an up to date documentation, so I favour minimalist options * (the fewer the better)*. Q1 : I vote for option b) but this is not conflicting with d) proposed by Thomas. Q2 : Option a) the default skin. A comment regarding this draft : I'm not sure that the USERS mailing list is appropriate to ask for a documentation change. The documentation is a component of the XWiki software and it must match the features implemented. So, for me, the DEV mailing list would be quite natural. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] [xwiki-devs] [Proposal] Documentation Standard Document Call to Vote
Just to point out that my comment is focused on the Documentation Standard draft, not the current mailing thread. Following the document, if you want to update a page or create a new one, you have to ask the XWiki community before starting. Below this sentence, the user mailing list is clearly specified. Maxime 2010/6/8 Thomas Mortagne thomas.morta...@xwiki.com Actually you answered on USERS only but the proposal has been sent on both USERS and DEVS ;) -- Thomas Mortagne ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] Reset the stats
I confirm that it works. In summary, to reset the stats of a wiki, just delete the content of the 3 tables xwikistatsdoc, xwikistatsreferer and xwikistatsvisit. Of course, it would be easier to just click on a button in an admin page but it seems that it is not a very used feature. Thank you Marius. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[xwiki-users] Reset the stats
Hello, I use a 2.1.2 XWiki XE and the stats are activated. Is it possible to reset the counters of the Stats space ? Don't read anything on this topic in the manual. Thank you for your help. Maxime ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] Reset the stats
Thank you for your answer. I realize that my previous message was not very clear. My only need is to reset all the counters (for all spaces). I would mean : the statistic counters as they appear in the space entitled Stats. So, I will try to delete the content of theses tables. Best regards, Maxime 2010/5/31 Marius Dumitru Florea mariusdumitru.flo...@xwiki.com Hi Maxime, AFAIK there's no API for this purpose and thus no UI. The only thing you can do is to delete the stats records from the database (xwikistatsdoc, xwikistatsreferer and xwikistatsvisit tables). Now, even if you delete the stats recorded for documents in X space (e.g. how many times X.Y page was edited) by deleting the associated records from xwikistatsdoc table, you can't decrease the number of edits made by user A who edited 3 times X.Y page because xwikistatsvisit table contains aggregated visit stats so you don't know how many times A edited pages from X space. Hope this helps, Marius ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

[xwiki-users] MindMap application
Reading the archive of this list, it seems that the MindMap application does not work because the Freemind applet is not included in the core of xwiki (mail from Julien Hervouet, 3 sept 2009). Does this mean that the Mindmap application is withdrawn ? Is there a workaround ? I would be thankful if somebody can give an answer. Re: [xwiki-users] Customizing editcomment at the space level
In fact, the subject is not so easy and after 2 hours of several tries, I give up with this. I can say that the xwiki.cfg works fine. Maxime 2010/3/23 GeLo le.genie.logic...@gmail.com I only added the property I need : editcomment_suggested and I commented the value in xwiki.cfg. Now, whatever the value is in the object editor, even when the property is unset (empty string), the suggestion is always available. I restarted XWiki but it has no effect.
