Re: support for CVS

2009-09-13 Thread eykanal

Yeah, I figured as much. I only ask because I'm now working on a
project with a company who still uses CVS. After searching around, I
realize they're two completely different products; please don't even
consider this post a "feature request", because it would be way to
much work with little benefit realized. Thanks -

Re: support for CVS

2009-09-13 Thread Quinn Taylor
Only Subversion. The webpage and all the marketing makes that pretty
unmistakable. Since virtually the entire purpose of SVN was to replace
CVS wholesale, I don't see (and don't think there should be) any
attempt to make Versions fit to CVS. Moving to SVN is the minimum I'd
suggest — some others will strongly advocate distributed SCMs like git/
Mercurial/Bazaar, but be sure to weigh any suggestion with a grain of
salt and compare it with what you need. :-)

That is great news. I look forward to being able to use Versions again.

Versions 1.0.6 coming

2009-09-13 Thread Dirk Stoop

Hi all,

We've tracked down the cause of the following issue that some of you
are running into with Versions 1.0.5:

- Really high CPU usage in one or more background processes, also
named Versions.

We will release Versions 1.0.6 soon to take care of this problem.

Because this issue was our highest priority, was pretty hard to track
down, and we want to get the fix in everyone's hands asap, this one
fix will be the only difference between 1.0.6 and 1.0.5.

Cheers,
- Dirk

Re: Versions no longer launches...

2009-09-13 Thread Martin Leblanc

My solution was to rename the Bookmarks.plist file - I don't think you
have to delete the whole folder.

I got this as well and solved it the hard way by deleting the Version
folder in 'Application support'. Of course, not ideal as I lost my
bookmarks etc...

Re: Versions keeps crashing

2009-09-13 Thread Ben

Hi,

I'm seeing the same issue as well. I've sent off a few reports.
It launches fine the first time and also if you ditch the prefs file.
It occurs when switching to use a different svn version and having to
relaunch.

I end up in an endless loop of relaunch <-> "Oops bump warning".

I noticed in the console path references to a file on one of the
original developers machines.
I imagine this is what Jasper is referring too in his reply.
