svn switch

2013-02-05 Thread Loic SEGAPELLI
The machine hosting our SVN server started having BSODs so I setup a new
one. Unfortunately, Version doesn't seem to support svn switch... Is that
the case? Is that feature going to be supported soon?

I'm ok using the command line but my users require the UI (that's why we're
buying Versions!)

Versions does not include svn switch functionality. It is on our feature
request list, but there is no timeline to share for when it may be included.

Re: SVN Switch

2009-10-23 Thread WalleniuM

i'm in need of that feature, too.

please add svn switch and branch/tag to versions. i know that i can
override it by using drag drop, but its not acceptable if your repos
are large (mine is 1gb and more... and i have a traffic limit.. ;))

When working with our ticket-branches I often just need to check

Creating single working copies for about 15 active branches just isn't

Re: SVN Switch

2009-10-05 Thread Quinn Taylor
I think he's probably talking about something like `svn switch`, in
which case no, Versions doesn't yet provide a quick way to do that.

Creating multiple working copies is one way to go, but the idea behind
svn switch is that SVN can modify/add/delete only the files that are
different between two branches, which is fast and doesn't waste near
as much bandwidth or disk space. For the time being, having multiple
working copy bookmarks is workable.

Branching/tagging are supported in the form of copying, which is how svn
branches/tags.
